Everyone who has this device should agree that it is flying, the S800 International version at least has had absolutely no stutter so far for me, however since using Gravitybox, the Xposed Module, there have been occasional slowdowns and even freezes where I cannot even scroll down a list. I love all CM-like functionality of Gravitybox but why does it slow this monster device down so much. Have it on my ASUS TF700 which is not that fast at all (Tegra 3) and it doesn't have a huge impact there?
Is anyone else experiencing similar issues? Can it be narrowed down to specific tweaks? I tried with transparency enabled and disabled, no noticeble difference, but turning the whole module off makes a very noticeble difference. Any ideas? Don't know if this is relevant but I have a N9005, rooted, has TWRP recovery installed and running Omega 3.1, I also installed a debloating zip that got rid of loads of apps I won't use anyway.
I have problems with xblast module, especifically with the status bar, it freezes the screen for about a minute, then "ui has stopped" messages, your problem is with gravity, but there must be some common factor with xblast, I guess

I also tried Wanam's Xposed module, same thing happens. Wanam's doesn't officially support the Note 3, although I've found many features to be working perfectly. This module also has the same slowing effect as Gravity Box. I don't actually know alot about how these modules work but here's what I think may be happening: The Xposed module is making it's various changes to the System UI, then something within the Samsung firmware changes it back, and then the Xposed module again changes it, and so on... So it's like the module is fighting with Samsung firmware for control, resulting in the slowdown. This is obviously pure speculation since I don't actually know much at all about this, if someone else does know, please correct me. Right now the only features I really want are: Hold Volume up/down for skip music track and XuiMod's module, I can do without theming or other fancy things such as pie controls.
I have xposed + wanam and I don't see a big slow down. I'm using an at&t rooted SM-900A with MI9 version. Seems that the problem is only happening on newer Samsung Roms.
Thanks I didn't update the software. I also didn't trip Knox because of this.
Xposed and wanam too on my N9005. Rooted on Mj7 I don't experience any perceiveable performance loss despite the phone being a little slow waking up or going to sleep. But I cannot tell if this was different without all this. I've added xposed 3 days after buying, so I don't recall if this was different completely stock.
It does say in the write up, that it's not play nice with Touch Wiz, as it's mainly for vanilla versions of android, perhaps you're having problems due to that very reason.

I'm using both wanam and gravity box to achieve what I want, but I expect zero lag or other problems! but: I'm using nova launcher instead of touch wiz, so it seems that that could be your trouble!

i'm not using wanam or gravity box. i use nova launcher as well. but what i have noticed is that once i install the xposed framework, it takes so freaking long to complete the bootup process. it seems like 5 to 7 minutes from power on until the last toast notification message from supersu appears. and if i uninstall xposed framework, the bootup process is extremely fast. once the bootup is complete with xposed, everything runs at normal speed though.
i haven't been able to find any mention of such problems anywhere. it is some consolation to see that it's not my imagination that xposed is causing some issues for others as well.
I'm using nova launcher with wanam and gravitybox and I have absolutely no lag besides a slight hickup when turning my screen on. I also have 80 extra apps and games. Maybe you folks have a defective note

I open this for get an analysis for a evidences slow down performance on every note with stock Rom then I have.
test on note2, note3 and note4 get me rallenty result on boot (more time that normal to view desktop), on connection usb with pc (long time to recognize device, not depend on which OS), system app's booting 3-4 slow time that normal (rotate control, gear manager ecc). Ram saturation not change but showy lags on interface and switch to App's.
this is indipendent than Module (lastest test is without module's).
when I remove a framework all return normally.
I don't understand Why??
From the original gravitybox repo info:
Compatibility
- .....
- DOES NOT support devices running ROMs vastly modified by device manufacturers (HTC Sense, Samsung Touchwiz, MIUI, LeWa, Xperia, ...)
- SHOULD NOT be used with custom ROMs like CM, AOSPA, RootBox, SlimBean and others - it makes no sense since the most of the features are already
in the ROM (may cause conflicts and unexpected behaviour)
When you only need the resign of the buttons (like myself.. that was the only reason i used it) you find in the xposed download: xposed additions for remaping
Same problem.
Well, I had rooted and installed Xposed+Gravity on my friend's device and he too has reported lags on his device. My guess is, somehow the default framework and systemui aren't allowing the module to modify them, probably, that's why the problem. Also, I tried making GB and Xposed a system application and then wiping data+cache, but still, there was no noticeable change.
Interestingly, when I installed these modules separately, like advanced power menu, double tap to sleep, lollipop navigation bar etc, there was hardly any lag.
So, I think, taking GB out is the answer, but again, how many modules can we install for each function?
These are the modules I am using as a substitute:
APM+: http://repo.xposed.info/module/hk.kennethso168.xposed.apmplus
Flat Style Colored Bars: http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.bocharov.xposed.fscb
DoubleTapToSleep: http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.zst.xposed.doubletaptosleep
Lollipop Navigation Bar: http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.ash.androidlnavigationbar
Note: I disabled the stock launcher and using Apex Pro. Its small and eats lesser memory.
I hope it helps a bit.

I am wondering if there is a xposed module that works with our sprint s5? Mainly looking for the skip tracks with volume button mod?

Having problems with Xposed Framework, once installed, I'll start with two modules Gravtity box and Greenify donated version. I also installed busy box as per some videos suggest. I notice my clock widgets whether it be Beautiful or HD widgets starts to lag with the time, and I get spotty WIFI connection, with a message saying that the connection is being check for quality, or something to the effects, after rebooting a couple of times and turning the WIFI on and off 3 times, it finally connects and run like new. Is there some type of adjustment I missing or do I need to installed a deodexed rom that have some typ of slight mod done to the rom. I running stock rooted G900PVPU1AND2 and stock kernel.
xposed
Do you have the dynamic voltage scaling option checked?

Try upgrading to Xposed Installer 2.6 (just came out yesterday!). Also FYI only GravityBox v3.1.0 works for our Sprint GS5.
xprivacy seems to be working. Tested with a couple different apps to see if they could see contacts\location and everything came up blank. I have also seen the "not connected to internet" errors from apps if not set up correctly.
Does s health work without doing this now?

Solution:
Install any file editor, here used the Build Prop Tweaker Pro, look for the line: ro.securestorage.support = and change "True" to "False"
Restart the phone, Xposed and S Health 100% functional module.

Wanam.
So basically, only when I'm in the Chrome app (not the beta, just stock chrome), when I hit the home button and come to my home screen, it's blank for a second or two, and then my apps / folders pop up. This shouldn't happen and hasn't happened to me until recently. It's almost as if i'm using too much RAM, but i know for sure I'm not as I've tested it with chrome being the only app even running. I don't think chrome is leaking 2 gb of ram...
Some info- this is on my nexus 5, rooted but stock rom with xposed. No xposed modules related to chrome, chrome is not greenified or anything, so i'm not sure where the problem is. I've reset all the default on ://chrome/flags so i'm not allowing it to use too much RAM. Can anyone think of why this is happening? I can provide more info if needed, just ask.

first things first. xposed comes with a countless amount of undocumented issues. before doing anything else to try and fix your issue, get rid of xposed, completely. if that doesnt fix your issue, we will try other things. if you dont try removing xposed. then theres no point to try anything else.

Simms is right. What I would recommend personally is having MultiROM installed and having one ROM on ART without exposed and another ROM with every XPosed module known to man and several species of Monkey. ?
Over time your device may seem fine but XPosed starts slowly corrupting the integrity of the ROM have no idea how. You'll get random force closes, weird audio bugs, force reboots, screen of deaths, and random lag spikes from my experience. You'll run every cleaner in the book, you'll clear cache and dalvik cache and fix permissions but it won't help. You've been struck by a smooth criminal, ahem. XPosed.
I noticed that no matter how often I keep reinstalling XPosed and GravityBox I always get the error message that the GravityBox framework is not responding. Is this a Rom based issue or is there some way to fix this?
EDIT:// So I realized it is a Huawei general issue. I installed Xposed 2.5.1 (and changed ro.config.hwtheme to 0 in the build.prop). Now I am able to properly install GravityBox and run it. The problem now is if I for example activate PIE controls or change something from the status bar (and reboot) nothing changes. Even if I activate immersive mode for both sides only the nav bar disappears. Nothing else happens tho.
EDIT2:// So some functions do work. I can use the GravityBox nav bar (although it makes the recent app icon disappear) while some functions like the PIE control simply do not work. Is there some fix?
EDIT3:// Using the GravityBox Navbar the buttons only work on the Homescreen. As soon as you enter an app you have to restart the os in order to quit the app.

GravityBox works best with AOSP Roms and Roms that are very close to AOSP I think there is a mention in the app.
Quoting from the official repo that can be found here http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.ceco.kitkat.gravitybox
GravityBox is a module which primary goal is to provide the users of AOSP devices
with a tweak box to turn their vanilla AOSP ROM into custom ROM packed with additional features and tweaks
without need to flash anything. Most of the preferences can be changed on-the-fly without rebooting.

It's not Huawei's fault ,if you are trying to install an application and configure it, that is supposed to run in vanilla environment into a heavily customized ROM like EMUI and MIUI if we count XIAOMI too.
Give a try to Xblast Tools , does almost the same than GravityBox, and seems to be more compatible (at least for me).
Does everything I wanted from GB.
And don't post on GB thread, you will not be the welcome (Huawei rom, blablabla ... read the red warnings ... )
For some reason my XPosed installation doesnt work anymore. Tried reinstalling always shows that the Service isn't started. Only disabling rescource apis make it run. This emui stuff is really annoying. I'd love to have an aosp rom

Did you tried Xblast Tools ?
Yes I did it worked after installing XPosed 2.5.1. Though most of the stuff is heavily bugged while the rest doesn't even work. I guess we really need a vanilla rom. Honestly even GravityBox worked more with 2.5.1

Weird, most of the things I wanted work (Circle Battery Icon, Custom Navbar, Skip Track, Cursor move with VolKeys).
Hello a little bump , do you advise me to install xposed framework on Honor 6 with EMUI 3.0 ?
In case anyone wanted to add some tweaks to their G7, while we wait for any roms..if any are released.
Clearly not my work, just linking, and confirming it works fine with Moto G7. Haven't test all tweaks, but simple ones such as battery percentage text and hide battery icon.
Big thanks to C3C076, if this was useful to you, you can thanks his post.

I installed GB the other day and haven't had any issues so far. Thanks.
It's good. Still looking for a way to get back Slim Recents/vertical recents window!
Awesome. Works on Moto G7 rooted with TWRP, Magisk, EdXposed. still passes safety net. Just waiting for custom rooms or even more customization. I miss the level of UI mods I could do on my Galaxy S7 where I could change colors for all my app icons notification background/ foreground and made everything so pretty and themed. I know I can get icon packs but I like the stock icons. I know once it develops lore and we get more mods and ROMS this will be an awesome phone.
Curious, what version of EdXposed did you settle with?
Also, do you ever experience this weird behavior when you restart your phone sometimes the font/icons are really small? It's like the screen DPI get's set or interpreted incorrectly every so often at boot
Works for me too.
I'm rooted with the latest Magisk w/ LSposed (Zygisk) running stock A12 w/BlueSpark kernel on my Pixel 4a. When I add the 'greenify4magisk' module and tick the exposed option in greenify all seems well until I reboot. About 7-8 sec. in (prolly when it loading greenify) the screen freezes up for like 60 sec. (it times-out maybe) then reboots into a dreaded bootloop. It's easy to fix cuz I can uninstall things b4 it freezes then next boot all is good. Is there maybe a certain order of installation maybe? I dunno...has anyone else tried greenify with A11/12 maybe? I know there are other apps for hibernation and aggressive doze but I got the paid ver. back in A9 (2 phones ago...lol) and it has a few extras I like. Tia...
This is a copy/paste of my post on Github...
Any help is appreciated...I'm like a pitbull re: my paid appz...don't, won't jet go, damn it! smh
Just tried again thinking...if I don't turn the module on and do not select any of the exposed features that it'd be fine. But after I installed it and rebooted, same thing happened without the mod even installed! So I guess this is goodbye...it had grown pretty redundant beginning with A9 and got more with every release. Aggressive doze and tweaks are easy to find and android does it's own policing of background apps.Btw, imo Naptime and Battery Guru are the best 'doze' apps...js
