[Q] Icons on the top of the homepage - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I tried to search but without any useful information. I can tell some of the icons: bluetooth, mobile carrier, battery, time, but one icon: inclined rectangle. Where can i have the information? Is there a user manual for nexus 5? Thanks.

Are you referring to the Google search widget on top of the home screen? Or 3 rectangles stacked on each other on the quick settings menu?
The top right?

Do you mean the vibrate symbol maybe? Turn the volume up, does it disappear?

It might be the search widget. Here is the picture and the icons are on top right in each screen.

Ahh that diagonal rectangle is showing that your phone is in vibrate mode. Use volume up to fix that.
Bluetooth, vibrate, service, battery, time.

I should add, there is a user manual on Play Books. It's free

[IDEA] Operator icon

I remember as that for apple arrangements, in the status a bar established an icon of the operator at what it was put automatically depending on the operator. At those at whom was iPhone, will understand me. All this certainly were modifications.
Can any possibility to make too most for our arrangements? Maybe even any program which will be displayed in notices.
It defines the operator automatically
Here an example of the Russian operators:

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I guess it's a decent idea, but it seems like useless notification bar clutter IMO...not like people forget who their carrier is.
On iphone this badge was looked is very cool

Isn't the operator already displayed in the notification area? Or did you mean something else?

cyanogenmod options

Is there a way to get cyanogenmod options like having the extra settings options or swiping in the right corner to bring up quick settings screen instead of notifications without installing the cyanogenmod rom?

Not yet. You'll have to wait for CM11 nightlies or start working on your own.
I would perfer to keep the stock rom, I just want the extra menus and options like that.

[Q] Cataclysm ROM -> no lockscreen cam

Hello,
I have been running the cataclysm ROM for several weeks now. I like it, I must say. Really nice OS.
However, one think I can not figure out is how to get the camera sweep shortcut to the lockscreen.
In settings there is an option to turn it on or off, but it does not make a difference. I already tried to fiddle around with the widget settings etc.
Also I could not find a setting in the Camera app and I have tried some external apps for lockscreen management.
Re-flashing the rom (no wipe) also does not make a difference.
I am posting here since the ROM thread has been closed for 2 weeks now. Google and search could not help me.

Thanks, that helped!
Is it not possible to use the 'stock' shortcut at the right bottom?
There's no shortcut on bottom left, but if you swipe the screen from right to left like you do on home screen , you will get the camera..
Just assume that there is a shortcut icon in the bottom left and do it..

[Q] rotate screen option on android lollipop?

I think I'm dumb, but usually this option is under "Display", but I don't see to see it. Anyone know where the option rotate screen is at?
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this thread -_-

top right. Landscape or portrait
The options I have in this drop down are. Brightness adjust (slider) wifi, bluetooth, LTE, Airplane mode, flashlight, location, case screen. Dat ****?
For me it is under Display. It is called "When device is rotated" and has two options: Rotate the contents of the screen and Stay in portrait view. Using this once will add the notification shortcut.
Don't have that option either under display.

Lol, odd.

Can't disable navigation bar hide button

Good day everyone,
My first post here.
I just got my Honor View 10 a few days and today while I was playing around with the settings, I enabled the "navigation dock" to test it out but then I didn't like it and disabled it again but a new button showed up in my navigation bar used for hiding the navigation bar and I can't seem to find the option to remove it at all. Restarted the phone and didn't help.
Check the screenshot.
