File manager in recovery[AromaFileManager] - Sony Xperia L

Its just a share
As we don't have TWRP in any of our custom kernels so we dont have file manager in recovery. To have this feature, Just go here and download the zip of latest Aroma file manager.
Place it in your root of SD card. Now whenever you want file manager in recovery, just install the zip you downloaded and you will have File manager in recovery. Note that the zip does nothing with any of you data/app during installation it just opens file manager

Reboot into Stock Recovery
Install Xposed Framework and then install Gravity Box or advance power menu modules. After that you have a Reboot option in a Power Menu. When you press the Reboot button it will give you another options like - Recovery, soft reboot, bootloader, Reboot. Just press the bootloader or recovery options and will straight go the Stock Recovery.

[Q] CWM Recovery vs stock recovery

after I flash CWM 6.0.1.2, if I reboot into recovery, the phone goes into Android system recovery. Why is that?
In order to go back to CWM Recovery, I have to go to ROM Manager, flash CWM 6.0.1.2 again, and then reboot into recovery. Once I am in CWM and need to exit (reboot), I get asked the following:
"ROM may flash stock recovery on boot. Fix?"
Yes - Disable recovery flash.
Should I click yes so the phone does not go into Android system recovery? there is a message that says this cannot be undone so I do not want to do something that may screw up my phone.
I am on stock but rooted, of course. Thanks.
Same thing happens to me. Even if I use twrp or cwm touch

Flashing factory images?Which type of images(I'm bad at this sorry >.<)
Okay, problem solved.Using the "ADB push" method will do.By following this guide:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667929 Just simply push the ROM into the SD card through fastboot mod,and flash the ROM,then everythings work fine. The ROM I used is Nexus S original ROM download from net.

You are using cwm recovery. You need to flash twrp recovery img using fastboot command: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
This recovery will allow you to mount usb

On your pc open the Rom zip and place the boot.img in the directory that you fastboot flash from. You need to fastboot flash the boot.img using the command: fastboot flash boot boot.img
Now reboot and it should work

What carrier are you on? Is it 9020a or 9020t? Are you on the stock rom and stock recovery? Have you manually looked for an update? (Clearing Google Services Framework data then going to Settings > About phone > System updates)

Root not required to update factory images, but device must be unlocked (see step 9)
Install Android SDK Tools
When SDK Manager runs, select Android SDK Platform Tools and Google USB Driver, see attached pic
If missed, run SDK Manager again as Administrator
Download Google Factory Images for your device (eg. sojua for i9020a) and JB4.1.2
Extract (7-zip or whatever) the tar file (.tgz) into C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools folder
Open Windows Prompt, change directory to platform-tools folder
Put your Nexus S in Bootloader (fastboot) mode. (Power off, press power-on while holding Vol-Up)
Test fastboot connectivity, should show your nexus device
Code:
fastboot devices
Unlock bootloader if not already unlocked. This will wipe all data. So backup first.
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
Run flash-all.bat. This will flash bootloader, radio(baseband) and system rom. You can execute the commands within manually if desired.
To root, I like the manual way.
Download Clockworkmod Recovery and save into platform-tools folder
Download Superuser and copy into SD/USB of your Nexus S.
Boot into fastboot and flash Clockworkmod Recovery
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-crespo.img
Select RECOVERY in fastboot menu and boot into clockworkmod recovery.
Install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard, select the Superuser-3.2-arm-signed.zip that you copied in step 2.
Reboot and you are rooted.

1)first of all extract cm11 (fxp or official doesn't matter) into any folder .. here you will see the boot.img file
2)okay open flashtool, click the flash button .. and select the fastboot mode
3)then switch off your phone and go into fastboot mode while holding the volume up button .. and connecting your phone with usb cable, you will see a blue notification light which means you're in the fastboot mode.
4)flashtool will detect your phone and will display the message "device connected in fastboot mode"
5)select "select kernel to flash"
6)browse to the boot.img file (it will not be visible first so select the *.img in scroll down menu)
7)open it and the cm recovery will be flashed, after that switch on your phone, press the volume up button two times to go into recovery
8)wipe data/wipe chache
9)install cm11 then install gapps and reboot !
press thanx if i helped
