Youtube problems? - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone managed to resolve the problems CM and CM-based ROMS are having with Youtube not working? This is a big problem for me, as I prefer to use Kangs or some other ROM based on CM but I can't because Youtube stops working. I have searched the threads for several such ROMS and aside from posts stating that this is a problem with all CM based ROMS right now, I find no mention of the problem. Just hoping someone has had a bit of luck here

[Q] Choppy video playback with TMobile G2 and Andromadus ROM?

Hi all.
I can't post this to the dev forums yet since I'm a new user, so trying here.
I have a Tmobile G2 running kernel version 2.6.35.14-Flinny-V2-gef05671, currenty on Andromadus version Alpha11.
Since Alpha 9, I'm having serious playback problems with any video I captured with the camera prior to switching to this ROM line. Prior I was running CM7 with no issues recording/playing back videos with either the stock player, or DICE player.
Is anyone else having these problems? It's killing me! Last night I tried the new beta VLC player, and it's a tad better, but still basically unplayable.
Perhaps it was my process of installing the ROM? I used SuperWipe, then installed the ROM.
Anyone else had this issue, or have a suggestion of how to fix it?
Much thanks.
Well it seems to be a common thing across several ICS ROMs right now. I guess hardware acceleration is still a WIP

Cyanogenmod/Carbon Rom call problems on Galaxy S3 I9300

Hi all,
As im new here i couldn’t post this on the development posts so have had to drop this here for now. I know there have been other related threads like this but my situation seems to be more unique and more annoying :crying:
After rooting my galaxy s3 I have had numerous call problems on both cyanogenmod and Carbon Roms. It started with cyanogenmod 9.1 stable and experienced problems where there was no sound at either end of the call, sometimes I could hear the other person speaking but they couldnt hear me. Other times when i answered the phone I would hear them speak but there voice would be distorted, sounding more like a robot. Theses problem would usually be fixed by either me or them calling back.
Thinking this had been fixed on a cyanogenmod nightly I tried them... however this seemed to make no difference, even on the newer versions.
Fed up I moved onto carbon Rom (despite this being cyanogenmod based) and have had the same problems with even the very latest build thou the distorted sound just became more common, even after a whole month of use.
I have now moved onto the liquid smooth Rom in hope i wont have the same problem... if this fails then its back to the old stock Rom
Has anyone else had the same problem or heard of this before??? Any feedback would be appreciated =)
Many thanks
Distorted sound on liquid smooth to.... =(
Yes! I have been having the same problem I think. I have looked everywhere and haven't been able to find a solution let alone another person describing the problem. About one in every 6 or 7 calls has a bubbly distorted sound but the person on the other end can hear me OK. I'm running CM 10.1 on a GS3 i747m. Did you find a solution or find anyone else with a similar problem?

If this is any help and I know its late, but carbon ROM is based on many cyanogenmod parts (the MMS app, many features and I'm sure the phone app). If you are having problems going to on cyanogenmod the problem is likely to ocurr in carbon, AOKP or Paranoid android are less likely to have the same problems though.
You have to go back to stock rom .. eliminate binnary status.
and then take it to a Samsung service center.
I think the galaxy s3 is no damage on the hardware you
sorry i use translate.google
I can't agree. I have the same problem and need to reboot each time. I've flashed about 10 different ROMS. This problem only exists on cyanogenmod. I have no clue, but I've been looking for an answer for some time now.

[Q] Is there any bideo-bug-free custom rom with android > 4.0?

Hi,
I'm looking for some kind of custom rom which does not have video bug(out of sync or low framerate). I'm a noob, I've read some threads in development section and I've found that even some stable roms have issues with video recording. So I wonder if there is a single rom which doesn't have that issues. (I am afraid that all CM based roms will have some issues related to video, am I right?).
Basically I need stable, battery savy rom without wifi/video bug. Responsive UI would be nice.
I don't need super fast games or other extra features.
I'm kind of OK with 2.3.6, there are some applications which work only for Android 4.0 and above versions, that's why I want to switch, that's all.
I'm living in Europe if that matters.
I know that "best rom" threads are not liked here, but it's quite hard to find proper rom, unfortunately I couldn't find many I9003 related forums with opinions about roms.

You can try qwerty cm10 rom
Its stable and fast with some cool features
All of the cyanogen mod based roms have video recording issues only at 720p
SD (480p) recording is fine
Good Realy Good Rom...:good:

Any ROM that has actually been finished and it truly stable?

Hi, cant seem to find a straight answer to this?
Anyone found and used one? Other than cyanogen 12.1 stock?
In all the years of flashing ROMs I dont think I ever came across one that was actually finished and worked correctly,, don't want to come across as rude, but no other way of putting it!
Have I missed something?
Thanks.
in specifically my experience of all the opo roms i tried throughout the years the only ones with great stability and zero issues (and custom features )were Candy roms (most recent being the candy8.1).Also lineage OS but LOS is a bit barebones so mostly stable anyway. Other custom roms were okay but had many tiny annoying issues (but still tolerable for everyday use). Again it's based on my own experience, could vary with others
