So for some reason my phone decided it would not be able to sense my touch, and I need to factory reset it to fix it. The thing is, I have TeamWin Recovery Project as my recovery mode (google it, you'll understand), and it needs me to touch the buttons to reset it. How do I factory reset my s3 without using the phone directly?
Could flash cwm recovery then try

You can try doing it through android ADB, or by reflashing the ROM and such through Odin.

You can also install CWR (Non-touch version) from ROM Manager.

Hello, I recently applied CWM using the NVFLASH method then rooted using the update.zip method, after this i tried to flash Cyanogenmod from CWM Recvoery but i bootlooped. Then I tried it using ROM Manager and I bootlooped again. Anyone know what I missed? Im currently unrooted with CWM Recovery. What should I do from here?
LG G2X of Course (P999)
Go to recovery holding volume down + power, then wipe data, format system, then flash the rom

after I flash CWM 6.0.1.2, if I reboot into recovery, the phone goes into Android system recovery. Why is that?
In order to go back to CWM Recovery, I have to go to ROM Manager, flash CWM 6.0.1.2 again, and then reboot into recovery. Once I am in CWM and need to exit (reboot), I get asked the following:
"ROM may flash stock recovery on boot. Fix?"
Yes - Disable recovery flash.
Should I click yes so the phone does not go into Android system recovery? there is a message that says this cannot be undone so I do not want to do something that may screw up my phone.
I am on stock but rooted, of course. Thanks.
Same thing happens to me. Even if I use twrp or cwm touch

So I flashed the latest miui ROM and its been running fine but there were a few glitches so I wanted to flash back to recovery and do a clean reinstall. Ive had the phone for almost a year and have flashed many roms so ive got some experince here. The issue is that the phone will flash to the TWRP screen, but then go black, vibrate twice and boot back to the Samsung Galaxy screen. It never actually boots back into recovery. I've tried doing a battery pull several times and the same thing happens. I'm away from my computer at the moment so I'm wondering if I have to Odin back to stock. I'm open to suggestions..

Reflash the recovery you can use goo manager app from he play store.

That's the problem; it won't reboot into recovery. It merely displays the twrp blue splash screen and then goes straight to the Samsung Galaxy s3 boot screen where it hangs indefinitely

So essentially I can't get back to the ROM I was running before...

Your not understanding what I said re install the custom recovery. Using goo manager app reinstall twrp.
You do it from the phone not computer and not in recovery. Right from the app.

Can you download from ROM Manager from Play Store and accomplish the same? It should allow you to download a recovery of our choice, or let you know you already have a Recovery in place. But I also believe it is the ROM you install that makes the phone boot to recovery, so you may need to start recovery manually until you successfully install a ROM.

I have a p3113, which after flashing a Rom became 3110. Which still worked fine. But I tried installing FastDream 4.2.2 which was a down grade from 4.3 Pac Rom. Now I'm stuck at Samsung logo, with no back up. I also can't mount sd through recovery, and my external sdcard is not detected by my computer.
Would anyone be able to tell me what my options are for fixing this?

wipe data factory reset, wipe cache partition and wipe dalvic cache in recovery and it will boot.
That didn't work, however I did get this issue fixed by putting it in download mode and flashed stock via odin. Then realized-rooted

can i have the link to the stock firmware you used? ive been having trouble with my tab 2 as well, in boot loop which I assume is soft-bricked. I already have ODIN, but I cant seem to get the right stock to use. help pleasee:crying:
So I was trying to reset my mother's t769 to stock, and have somehow ended up I. A bootloop. I made sure to uncheck repartition, and Odin reports everything went OK, but the phone never makes it past the Samsung logo... I've repeated the Odin process 3x with the "hitsquad" firmware, downloaded the firmware from sammobile.com and tried that too...any suggestions? What did I do wrong?!

Did you Factory reset?

I no longer have this phone but you may want to try another USB port and also reinstall the Samsung mobile driver. Then give Odin another try.

Here's a simple fix(it worked for me):
1. Flash CWM Recovery onto your phone using Odin.
2. Disconnect your phone from the USB cable
3. Hold the Power button + Volume buttons until the CWM Recovery comes up
4. Factory Reset + Wipe Cache + Wipe Dalvik Cache
5. Reboot
6. IF the boot loops is still there, now's the time to reinstall the ROM again using Odin
7. The stock ROM that I used to flash using Odinwasn't the one you're using as I had many problems with it, I instead used the T769UVLH5_T769TMBLH5_TMB.tar which got it to work.
8. If you can't find the file somewhere online, just ask for and I will upload it
Thank you so much--for some reason, it wouldn't enter recovery until I odin'ed cwm, then I was able to factory reset/wipe data and cache and everything was working again.
