[Q] Tapatalk Pro and droid 4.3 note 3

Quick query if I may. When I search XDA forums via Firefox or Chrome and press a link I no longer get prompted to use Tapatalk to view topics. Firefox or Chrome open topic within the browser.
I did reset all defaults via application manager to no avail.

Some people have the issue. Especially if the 4.4 kernel is used but mine is ok. Have a search around.

Mine did that, in not sure what caused it, it worked before ota then stopped. Ended up reflashing the 4.4.2 from Google website and re rooting over fastboot. It wouldn't hurt to wipe cache in stock recovery when you do it, before installing TWRP or CWM... Hope this helps, it fixed mine.

[Q] Flash stock recovery/kernel sans PC

I'm fairly certain the answer is no, but is it possible to flash the stock recovery and/or kernel via CWM? I'd like to use CWM and Franco's kernel to mess with things, but I'd like to be able to get back to stock on those two points without having to get back to my PC. Is that possible?
its possible to flash the kernel and recovery via cwm or twrp, you just need to zip them up right(or find them already zipped up properly by someone else). you can also flash the recovery and kernel via the flashify app if they are in .img form(recovery.img or boot.img).
Flashify looks like a good way to go, if it's reliable.

it should be fine, many people are very happy with it. i used it once to update my twrp recovery, had no issues with it.
I've been trying to extract the stock recovery and kernel from the factory image on my device with no success. Is there a place a can get these files?

"Stock" is probably the wrong word for it, really. I'm trying to get the 4.4.2 recovery.IMG and boot.IMG

Stock is correct. You'll find them in the "factory images" zip here:

Indeed, I downloaded that a few times and tried to extract it to get to the individual images, but couldn't get it to work. I'd either get errors while trying to extract or I'd get an empty folder.

You obviously have other issues going on there then. What are you extracting with?

Same results with what you just sent me. I must be doing something wrong. I even tried downloading ES Explorer and it said something about "end of directory signature not found"

Success! Just to verify, the zip file is 15.21 MB. recovery.img is 8.99 and boot.img is 8.43.

Did I have to have busybox installed if my phone is rooted?
I am using Xposed framework

you dont have to have it installed, but many root apps require it installed. especially cpu/kernel control apps.
Some root apps require busybox, some do not. Not sure that xposed does but worth having

Uninstalling beats audio with twrp

I made a back up using twrp before installing beats audio. My understanding is if u uninstall the app the drivers will still be on phone.
When restoring a back up, can I just restore system or boot so I don't loose data? Or do I have to restore it all?
Thanks
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
Yep, uninstall the all the restore /system and /boot
Not sure if boot is needed but can't hurt
