Hi! This is my first post here on xda-developers.com .
Last year I bought a rooted AMOI N820 with a CMWR custom recovery (modified by the seller).
It worked very well until I've decided to upgrade it from Android 4.0.4 to 4.2.2.
I've made a backup with MTK Droid Root & Tools v2.4.8.
I've copied the official ROM ( http://www.needrom.com/mobile/n820-official-4-2-update/ ) into the SD card and I've installed it using the CMW custom recovery.
It worked. Android 4.2.2 was installed (only CN and EN languages, but I don't mind) but it lacked gapps and lost the root permissions and the CMW custom recovery.
I found out a way to root it (probably - I've tried lots of programs - with framaroot ) and tried to install the Google Play Store with a downloaded apk file in different ways, but I encountered "Unfortunately Google services framework has stopped" error.
I couldn't install gapps from a zip file through a CMW recovery because the recovery was accidentally deleted when I've updated the software, so I tried this method ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xU8ioasayAg ): on Root Explorer I've copied the folders cointained into the system folder of the zip file ( http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130812-signed.zip linked in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2405292 ) into the folder system of my phone.
Here the problems began: now when I turn on the phone I can see the "startup" image and then it tries to reboot into the recovery mode, which is missing, so I face a lying android with a red alert signal on it.
If I connect the phone to the computer, Windows makes the "plugged in" sound and after a few second also the "plugged off" sound. If I connect it while on USBDeview I can see for a few seconds the "MT65xx Preloader". Also the MTK Droid Root & Tools shows it only for a glance, when the startup image of the phone shows up.
I'm really afraid of having to trash it because of having followed the wrong advice. Is there any way to fix my problem?
Could I use SP Flash Tool? Could anyone explain me the way step by step?
I'm looking for an answer! Help me, please!
Thanks.
Can't anyone really help me?

UPDATE
I've followed this guide ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1982587 ).
I've extracted the zip file ( http://www.needrom.com/mobile/n820-official-4-2-update/ ) and this is its content
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I've opened Flash_tool.exe) and clicked on the "Scatter-loading" button. In the extracted folder I've selected "scatter.txt", but I encoutered "Error: Initializing scatter file failed. Please check the name of the scatter file wich you load is legal."
In some forum I've found the advice to rename it "MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt". I've tried this way but it noticed "Incorrect scatter file format". I've searched for this error and I've found that this could be due to chinese letters in the folder title, but there were not at all.
Is it a flashable ROM? (Are there flashable or unflashable ROMs?) It is possible to obtain a flashable version from it?
The content of the backup made with MTK Droid Root & Tools v2.4.8 is
and contains a file named "MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt". If I load it I obtain an issue window containing " [...] Fail to load rom file: DSP_BL. [...] Fail to load rom file: PRELOADER. [...] " . If I ignore it the list I see this window
Then I stopped because I'm afraid of making other mistakes. Can anybody help me?

I Have Found Many Users Searching For Root For Auxus Linea Li Root
Today I am going to provide you the process for rooting the phone. After rooting you can do a lot more in it. You can install custom ROMs, you can update the phone firmware, you can remove pre-installed application from the same, etc. Adding custom rom is the best thing you can do on it. So let’s move ahead with rooting. Remember that it is a one way proceed. That means once rooted you won’t restore things back. Also you will lose the phone warranty.
Requirements:
Rooting means simply messing with phone permission. Sometime if you go with wrong stuff your phone will brick or wont boot. At that point resorting factory settings will only work. It is good if you can backup your phone first. And then only went ahead with the process.
Charge the device to maximum. Never attempt to root or make any changes if the battery is low. This can cause serious issue.
You have to update your system with latest usb drivers that will help your windows pc to communicate with the mobile phone. Install that.
Go in the settings and tap on developer options. There you can find usb debugging. Turn that thing on.
Download SP FLASH TOOL and keep it in a folder on your desktop.
Download the original iBerry Auxus Linea L1 USB Drivers and install them.
Download the Boot Recovery & Scatter files for iBerry Auxus Linea L1.
The last thing you will need is MTK Droid Root 2.5.3 root tool.
Rooting Process:
1.Extract the content of Sp Flash zip file in a folder. There will be a flash tool.
2.Extract the content of boot recovery and scatter in the same folder.
3.Run the sp flash took in the admin mode. In that you have to click on scatter loading. Choose the scatter file. This file will be available in the boot recovery folder.
4.The next thing you have to do is select the boot image file. You can do that by clicking on the left side of the Flash Tool.(just Click check box & click in blank space next to bootimg. and select Linea-L1_140626__boot_patched_140719-173447.img only)
5.Once done just check once again that the files are properly selected.
6.Now you have to extract the content of drivers that you had downloaded. Switch off your phone and connect it to your pc. Your pc will ask for the drivers. You have to provide the folder location.
7.When you are done with driver installation disconnect the phone and remove the phone battery.
8.Connect the phone just like that in switch off mode. After few seconds insert the battery back and then connect the phone to pc. Now in sp flash tool click on the download button.(FOR DRIVER HELP http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2180436)
9.Flashing will start and you will get a completed process at the end.
10.After that you have to run the droid root software. For that first turn on your phone and from settings enable usb debugging. If you are unable to find the same then go in about and tap on build 5 times to turn on developer options.
Just connect the phone and then going Droid Root software. There you can find Backup recovery tab. Click on that and then click on super su. This will install super su user on the phone. You can then update the app from Google Play store.
U can ask a question if any of my wording is not understandable.
SP Flash Tool 3.1352.01 (5.1352.01).rar
Thanks

Hi
I'm having a problem with my Acer Liquid E3 Duo (E380); after unlocking my 2 SIM cards and having successfully unlocked my phone I'm getting error messages saying that application xxx stopped working. The only thing I can do is acknowledged the message and then next error for the next application is appearing.
I've no clue if it can be repaired; I tried the recovery mode but without success.
I tried to flash the original ROM (downloaded from ACER) but I've issues.
I will try to explain what I've done.
OS used Windows 10
I downloaded the original KiKat zip (ROM) file from Acer
I downloaded / installed the VCOM drivers

I downloaded SP Flash Tool v5.1628.00
I powered off the phone (cannot remove the battery)
Connected the phone with USB cable
Started SP Flash Tool
Selected the original scatter file which was provided by Acer (zip)
Click on Download
Got error 8417
Found another scatter file MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc; I copied it in the same directory that the original
Tried again to open the scatter and it worked (was loaded)
Is it normal that 'only' BOOTIMG is selected ???
Plugged the USB cable with a power-off phone
Click on download; nothing happened
Remove USB cable; re-inserted the USB cable download went to 100%
and finally got the error >> PMT Changed for the ROM; it must be downloaded <<<
I formatted the phone successfully; re-downloaded the ROM and got the same PMT error message
Surprisingly the phone is still working as it was prior all my attempts. So no real damage but as stated it is unusable due to all apps crashing.
Thanks in advance for your support

Hey, This is my first post, hope it goes well
What happened was,
-->I installed a custom rom(LineageOS) with the help of twrp recovery installed from xda(link below) and I have succesfully installed the rom and also intalled root with it
-->Later, after further use of the new rom, ,it was uncomfortable. It was not as fast and compactable as the original rom so I decided to revert back to the official and original rom.
-->But This is where I made a big mistake, I was to try to clear the data and try if the custom rom fixed but instead, I wiped up the whole rom and no backup!!!
-->Now, I cannot go into recovery mode, bootloader and whichever vol+ and vo- and power, all combinations boot me to twrp.
-->luckyly, the adb sideload is working and it is not detected in the lenovo downloader software for me to flash.
Any help? Please help me.
Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for replying.
I tried what you've mentioned but no luck.
BTW, I did not find the stock rom zip anywhere, so I am using the lineage os custom ROM.
It boots me back into the twrp.(100% done)

That's an ADB issue.
ADB sideload's progress indicator only shows 100% if transferred size is 2.2 times of ZIP-file size.

What files are present there? You may have to extract them to get an .img file
I have a rar file which I extracted, there is no folder present.
These are the files present

I just want to get the tablet working in any android. Doesent matter and I want to get rid of TWRP.

Hi, Thanks for the quick reply

Checked it: Link given above is working as expected.

Correct.
Search for suitable Stock ROM at your own.
I've searched for over 3 days but no luck.
All I get is the rar file and inside that, firmware folder, drivers and software for flashing it.
If I get the tab into bootloader, I can flash but it does not allow me to go into boot loader, stock recovery.
All it does is to take me back to TWRP.
I have aldready installed around 7-9 stock roms but no zip file with meta inf folder, boot.img, system.img and the other required files.
Please Help
So I searched the WEB for tablet's Stock ROM and found it within seconds.

You flash it either via ADB Sideload method or via Lenovo Downloader Tool.
Hi,
Even I had found the same one.
But how do I flash it via adb sideload?
The problem is, in the zip file, there is drives, firmware and another folder.
