changing your phone's baseband sometimes will help to boost the signal. go to the specific thread of your device to find available basebands.
If you're having trouble with your own router, I would first try downloading Wifi Analyzer from the play store. It will show you which channel is the best for your current location and you can at least try tweaking the channels to get the minimum overlap with neighbors.
Try Wifi TX power..

Recently I saw a wifi repeater, which is said to extend Wifi signal for antother 300 meters far.Mod edit: Links Removed
If I install a new signal repeater at the edge of the wifi coverage, the signal could reach 600 meters far. :silly:
So if I buy hundreds of such devices, I can use my home Wifi anywhere in the city with my phone?

Possible But I think it will effect speed.and if its spread u can be under hacking dangers.

when u use a network which youre in eg.wifi your info is sent as a plane text.with the network all over city.somebody might create a loop hole and hack system.even when pass protected.
its over standard, and harmful for human body...

Do you mean radiation? But ther are many WIFI hotspots around us, we are in the radiation and still alive, right?It does not matter:laugh:

the standard wifi is around 100m... and more than that isnt standard in radiation

I also had the same problem... i just changed my Rom and it worked for me...
Bro go and look for some apps on Play store... i have tried some of the apps and they worked for me.. Or
You can just change your Rom.. Mostly the problem comes from the Rom... Just have a fresh installation of some other Rom...

I've noticed that my signals have dropped a bit as well, but only just a bit.. I have tried new radios/ roms, but it remains the same.. I then cleaned the contact points on the case and it got a little better.. I think though, it is just age..

It may just be a placebo effect, but the points between the cover and the phone...

I straight away unlock bl and flashed Mahdi when I receive the model..

try different rom and also check to see if there are other radios you can flash for your Chinese model OPO

I am also getting poor service with my one, whereas my Nexus 4 got much better signal. I am starting to think my phone is defected.

As what i read from the post you showed to me..
for gsm only, the best dbm strength is -5x to -6x dbm.
but i inconsistently getting -7x to -8x dbm which is very bad.
wcdma is even worse at a range of -9xdbm to -10x dbm which is unusable..

Actually your signal strength is pretty good. The numbers you are quoting don't mean much unless you consider distance from cell tower, weather, ground conditions,etc.

alright..
flashed to pa4.6 beta and find that the signal are same but yet to drop..
will use it for awhile to see whether it is stable..
