My canvas 2 wifi strength is very low only 2 bars are showing but other device is get full signal.so can anyone tell me how to improve wifi signal??

I also had the same problem... i just changed my Rom and it worked for me...
Bro go and look for some apps on Play store... i have tried some of the apps and they worked for me.. Or
You can just change your Rom.. Mostly the problem comes from the Rom... Just have a fresh installation of some other Rom...

hey guys, i suffered a lot from disconnects with my wifi when holding the phone in landscape mode
well i tried a app which helped my desire hd a lot, and now .. well i can hold my desire s in landscape without loosing connection

Tried it. I don't think it does anything to mine. Signal still drops. But not sure if does anything to the threshold.

simply thought maybe its helping some others here too
seems to work on my desire s =) but can't test it 100% now beacuse i can't play any online games, im in school and they have blocked all port
also kaspersky say that my phone was block. liked i changed to a new sim card. don't know why. made the program change something on my simcard? hmm

it doesn't work for me...
try covering the entire top plastic part (the part with the camera with your hand & see if the wifi drops using some app like wifi analyzer)
Well like a fool as my Wifi wasn't that bad.
The result being that I now have no Wifi connection at all.

u must add your wifi + passwords again after using this app, it's mentioned in the app so read first
yes it asked me to configure my wifi again & i did it
but the signal still dropped like before
dont see the bars they are quite misleading ( i am usually able to browse with no bars)
use some app like wifi analyzer
well for wifi analyzer it's already too late cause i can't make a before/after compare now
I tested it with WiFi analyzer before and after, there was still the -20db drop and nothing changed
well then maybe i had some software bugged wlan too and the programm was able to, so it will stay a myth that it's a help for the desire s signal dropping

That is what I did and it made no difference, I had to do a factory reset to get Wifi back. Perhaps I was just unlucky.

changing your phone's baseband sometimes will help to boost the signal. go to the specific thread of your device to find available basebands.
If you're having trouble with your own router, I would first try downloading Wifi Analyzer from the play store. It will show you which channel is the best for your current location and you can at least try tweaking the channels to get the minimum overlap with neighbors.
Try Wifi TX power..

I just update my infuse from mind of mac to slim bean 2.4 everything works fine, well the video at 720 drop a lot of frames and look like jump in some cases but the real problem is I can't make calls or receive, I saw signal my provider is there but when I make calls only try to call and then drop, and when I try to call to my infuse this tell me the phone is not in the area... do you know what can be happend and how I can be fix it?
I really appreciate your help

Go under settings/about phone/ status -check and see if your imei is there..

Im having the same problem, I lose connectivity on wifi and 3g. I reported the bug to motorola, hopefully they will fix it soon.

I'm also having constant WiFi drops though 3g seems to be stable. Same happening on my wife's xt1032. Reseting router doesn't seem to help.

Im connected to WiFi but i cant go to internet...i simply turn off WiFi and on and work again..isnt a solution..

I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem. On my home-Wifi, i get connection speeds between 25 and 60 k/s when copying a large file from the phone to my NAS. Every other device gets around 2 MB/s. I tried both, 2,4 and 5 GHz band. Even if i don't move, the connection quality drops every now and then to 1 or 2 bars and raises to 5 bars again. Is this some kind of incompatibility between my router (TPLINK TL-WDR3600 v1 running DD-WRT) or more like a general issue?

I think I've got the same problem. Download speed seems fine, however upload speed can reach 2mb/s and then fall to 0, like every other second. Can easily tell from speedtest as well. Are you on stock rom? I'm on 5.02, Ivan's. Do you have any progress?

No, I'm now on cm-12.1-20150704-UNOFFICIAL-mi4-cancro and believe it's same.

i didn't see that issue since changing to XenonHD (about 1.5 MB/s consistent download speed). Sadly, there are some GPS-issues and as i heavily rely on GPS-usage, i'll change to Ivan today.

Yeah i did and i would like to tell you it is not hardware issue it is your Router/Modem Issue. Which router are you using?
I bought i new router after that i never faced the issue and still if i try to use my old router i face same issue.

tried almost all custom roms on my mi4, when in idle wifi connection is lost and it goes to data, when phone is woken up after few sec wifi gets connected.. as any one has faced same problem.. any solution for this..

Check advanced wifi settings, keep wifi on during sleep.
