Check out this new game on the play store its called oscura..it does not show up in the games launcher but it is fully optimized for the controls of the xperia play, with no on screen buttons. Really good platfomer.

Looks pretty awesome. Will buy on Wednesday to support the developers even if it is a bit short.
Hopefully new content will be added. I'd suggest all of you buy this one to encourage the developer to support the XP with future releases!

Yeah i'm gonna buy this just to support the developer. I think we all should do the same so we get more Xperia Play optimized games like these for our Xperia Plays !
Doubt the dev needs to much support as its MTV that made it lol. But good game just wish Limbo was on android as it will kick ass with this.
Sent from my LT26i using xda premium
Didn't realise its made by MTV! I hope that doesn't mean adding more levels is a lie I'll definitely be picking it up and encouraging a developer with a lot of games to port to our device has gotta be good!

Not entirely true It's made by a dev studio called Chocolate Liberation Front, so they probably need the game to succeed in order to continue functioning and get funding for future projects.
So to sum it up, MTV just publishes the game, the developers who made it do indeed need the support of the consumers (that would be us ) Cheers!
EDIT: Forgot to mention, it's a kick ass game. The downside is that it's a bit on the short side for a paid app (very short if you ask me).
Just found this. As the creator if this game said he "I love joysticks, but I hate virtual joysticks"
Heres to hoping its supporting Xperia PLAY.

Edit: The first and only comment at this time is quoted as"
"Let's hope it's Xperia Play optimised since he quite rightly hates virtual joysticks"
Looks like a great game and with the simple one action type control scheme, no reason why they can't add xperia play support.
WTF,why doesn't this game published by Gameloft but ubi? Is that a sarcasm? Ubi totally had enough of GL's sucking games maybe.

iOS was yesterday, like always, before Android....No problem, one day, but where the h*ll is version for Android right now? Delayed or something? No info etc.... -.-
I am also awaiting the release.

Delayed -
Ubisoft twitter message =
Ubisoft @Ubisoft
#RaymanJungleRun will be out on Google Play Sept 27 @10am CET. Sorry for the unexpected delay, we needed more time for optimization!
I knew that - Ubisoft is like their mobile section - Gameloft. Nearly always iOS before Android. It's everytime the same thing....Hope waiting will bring Xperia Play full support. For now, let's download The Bard's Tale, 74% .

I've got a feeling they are optimizing it for the PLAY. Guess we'll find out next week
This just got leaked (search Google) it has no what so ever xperia play support at all. No launcher icon and no buttons work in game. Not to bad looking and gameplay is nice but not really liking games which only need 1 tap (where is the challenge). Really surprised has no play support as co produced by Dotemu (metalslug, r-type) but guess they sore no point in mapping 1 button. Oh well it's a shame but always have proper rayman on the good old emulators

I just got sent an email from a friend and he had it attached. Yup, no xperia play support.... nice graphics though but I wont touch it unless its optimized. Oh well... time to go back to playing the awesome 'Bard's Tale"..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7BunC_rkQc
But we can still using gamekeyboard and joistick center For me with the Last one works awesome For me is xperia play optimized =p

So not worth it, if they can't optimize/map on button like X for jump...Maybe updated version will have it. If not - I can always play it on my X10 without pain, but on Play I wanted something more....
Guys, I still the chances are strong that there will be an optimized version released formally next week. I can see the hardware working for a variety of functions in the game. My fingers are crossed :fingers-crossed:
No there is no chance. No way any dev will want to map one screen touch (because that's what it is the whole game)
Xplay support is not necessary in a game like this, and your just being petty if you won't touch it because of that
But, actually guys....If you really want have it "Xperia Play optimized unofficial" - please do like me - map one button (which you like best for jump, I like X like in PlayStation), and fell free to call it optimized (except icon i Play's launcher, but I don't care much about it always). There is no unusefull touchscreen buttons, so no way to say that "there is too much things on screen when playing" - this minimalistic form of that game is sure advantage. But it's quite short, but still worth playing ^^.
Err guys is it leaked? My friend showed me download links for the apk and SD data from a warez site.
Wow! already another one ? will this work on Xperia PLAY ?
Nothing has been confirmed yet and details are scarce. It could just be a tegra exclusive. I wouldn't think it'd come to our Xperia Play's but it'd be nice if I'm wrong
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
Possibilities that this isn't optimized, they gave up since shadowgun.
sent from Xperia PLAY™ via Tapatalk™
My 2 cents - Sorry to say this but doubt this is coming to Xperia Play (At least stock Gingerbread ones) and defo wont have controls if playable on ICS (If even runs on the hardware).
To be honest any big games this year will be a god send if they are playable on Xperia Play (2nd birthday coming up soon). I don't doubt we will see Xperia Play Optimized games this year but they will be from the indie developers more so then the big boys like EA etc etc.
Don't get me wrong i support the Xperia Play (Much more then others, i have a Xperia Play Fan site ) and still think its the best Mobile/Portable Games Unit available to date. But it wont live forever with the ever growing market and new innovations out there.
I agree, the sun is setting on our little friend, but I have yet to see the Play be ignored by big dev's, suprisingly. Wild Blood, MC4, and several other AAA titles, JUST launched with full Play support. We aren't completely forgotten about yet!
Yet...

With some extra debloating, I bet it will run on the Xperia Play, It may not run flawless but it should get the job done.
With the XP the glass is always half full.
The graphics is awesomely sick on Project Shield. Remember MFG saying they won't be supporting devices with Adreno 205 in the future after they were "forced" to fix Dead Trigger for Adreno 205 devices? So I'm not really expecting...
80% chance I think it will work on Tegra 3 devices, like my Nexus 7.
like transition from Tegra 2 to 3

I am also optimistic about Dead trigger 2 working on tegra 3 devices. One example why I think so is that in the Tegra zone shadowgun has 2 versions for tegra 2 and 3. Shadow gun came out in the transition period between these 2 chips so they made the people happy if I might say ? Dead trigger is also from madfinger games.. ok it can be seen where I am going with this.
THIS GAME IS GOING TO BE Legen- wait for it - Dary !

Didn't saw the second row of the previous post before mine cause it was in the corner of my screen and made an unnecessary one..
Don't want to bother an mod/admin for this kind of things though, so it stays for my embarassment.
May have generated a bother effect with the first post, with this one I'm sure it's doubled..

I know we give Gameloft loads of crap, but I think they deserve some props! They really have been xperia plays biggest supporter since day one and they haven't given up at all.

I have to say I completely agree. Despite the issues with they way they design the games for the PLAY, they are the only big company still consistently supporting the play.

Hi guys, I've received a mail from Pocket Rally devs few hours ago. With the last update, their game is finally optimized for our beloved phone!
Feel free to update this post if you need it, I'm writing from the phone right now and I'm too lazy to add links from here.
Full - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.IMStudio.PocketRally
Lite -

A nice game but last time I tried it felt like it was in slow mo and even though it's said your going 50 it would feel like 5-10. Mite have to give it another go as now optimized
Thanks for the tip

I feel like I have 80 racers on my Xperia Play, but I'm always down for another if its in the 50-60FPS range.

im using CM10 . compare to stock rom and CM10 , which 1 is the more smooth ?
any tweak to make it smooth ? play games very well without any screen lagg. ??

you can overclock it, but i do not recommend that since its not healthy if you know what i mean. You should try the Slim Bean room or Xperia Z Fire
