[Q] Nexus 5 wake up touching the screen. Any kernel for this? - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Like the title says, any kernel or whatever to be able to turn on the screen when its off touching the screen? like the "toc toc" feature on the LG G2 and the feature that the faux kernel had on its version for the Nexus 4.
Thanks in advance.

Thank you!. Are you aware of who's trying to get this feature on their kernels? Faux like in the N4? Franco?

Elementalx kernel, check the thread in original development forums, dev flar2 posted a video showing this. It's a largely expected feature for the next release.

[Q] Does anyone have the old Oxygen builds?

Just wondering if anyone has the final Oxygen gingerbread build that they could share, 2.3.2 (update-oxygen-2.3.2-NS-signed.zip) I believe. Correct me if I am wrong.
Unfortunatley the Oxygen.im website is down, so any help would be greatly appreciated. :good:

Absolutely amazing! Really appreciate it! Maybe I'm pushing it, but do you have francos final Dec 8th GB kernel by any chance? Not having much luck finding this old stuff on Google!

Haha, well keep hoarding, its useful.
Assuming you have all of the Oxygen builds, am I correct in thinking that was the final one of the Gingerbreads before they started doing Oxygen 3.0 builds?

Yep, that's the last one. Very stable when coupled with a good quality kernel without bugs, you'll have no problem lasting 1000 hours and up without needing a reboot if wanted. =)

Think of it as the "settings" app for the kernel. It allows you to configure or change the values (e.g. cpu/voltage..etc) at runtime. Unless you build an app, you can use std. shell scripts to change the value and run the script at boot time so it says persistent during reboots..

Undervolted - 50 across the board, smartassv2, noop. Probably could have got another hour of on screen time, easy. Plus no Wifi.
Hey Mohan was just wondering if you'd be willing to add the patches to incorporate faux sound control in your next build perhaps? If not no worries...

test driving it..will release over the weekend..
I usually undervolt everything 25-50, underclock to the min on both cpus and overclock them to about 1.7 ghz, always leave sammy governors, and usb fast charge is the ****. Idk how much it really affects my battery life as I haven't had the time to do real comparisons, but I'll get 30 hours with about 4.5 hours of screen time.
I'm running a frankenbuilt, rwc stockbased rom over top of 3.5 and am getting killer sleep stats as well as smoother/faster ui performance, which is exceptional given the dirty config my test rom has atm. Props, bud.

What happened to the RastaKat ROM?

It has been my favorite ROM for the Nexus and now I can't seem to find the thread. It seems like it was deleted, but does anyone know why?

Google Now Arrow on Lockscreen

Hey guys,
Did some pretty extensive searching and couldn't find a solution for this. Perhaps it's too soon and/or too trivial, but I don't use Google Now and I am wondering if there is a way to remove/hide the upward arrow for it at the bottom of the lockscreen?

Ahh, I see. Thank you. I am rooted, but stock rom with GravityBox and franco's kernel at the moment. Trying to hold off on flashing roms again, but I'll probably cave sooner rather than later, haha. Thanks again!

Cataclysm is really good. I ran stock for several days before flashing a ROM. It's very stockish with some nice features, and not bloated. Runs like a boss with Trinity Kernel.
