WARNINGS & DISCLAIMERS
Proceed with caution and at your own risk - I am not responsible if your phone self destructs, gets bricked, or melts.
Please keep in mind that both these methods will yield ROOT only - as of know there is no way to unlock bootloader on AT&T
Rooting and any other modifications to your phone will void your warranty - do not root if you do not know what you are doing.
Rooted devices will not be able to receive OTA updates. You may have to unroot and restore stock in order to accept updates.
How to check if you tripped the root counter
Once your device is rooted via either method - the device secret service menu will show that you are rooted.
To check:
1. Go to dialer
2. enter 3845#*850#
3. Scroll to and click on LG RCT
4. click Display Results
Here you will see that it shows the device is rooted
Once the device is unrooted - the setting will be reset to No Root

My G3 from AT&T is on order and should be in my hands in a week or so. What firmware version comes with the phone out of the box? Should I root immediately to avoid any patches from being installed?
My reason for asking is based on my experience with the Moto X. I realized too late that accepting the standard upgrade to 4.4.2 via OTA would eliminate any chance of rooting. I want to make sure that I don't fall into that trap again.

Are there any warranty software's like Samsung's Knox on this device? If so does rooting with towel root trip it?

According to a friend of mine, towelroot will not trip the QFuse, only the root counter. If you read post #2 on this thread that issue is addressed.

QFuse will only be tripped if the recovery or rom is changed... The root counter will reset to No Root if you use the unroot method I posted
Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk
Does it also remove the line about the first time you rooted? Also, when you say Rom is changed does that mean debloating/removing carrieriq/using xposed will trip it?

I rooted the phone using towel root - used Root Explorer to uninstall Bloat - installed Xposed and G3 TweakBox... then I checked to root checker in the hidden menu and it showed that it was rooted but the QFUSE was intact... then I unrooted using the method i posted.. Not only was the phone unrooted, traces of xposed installation were removed, and the root check in the hidden menu showed No Root with no additional information - also the QFUSE was still intact.
This is my experience and I have tested it twice. However... as always... Your mileage may vary...
Many thanks. I hate to sound like anoob, but this lg is new to me (coming from a gs3 where I avoided Knox counters until I sold the phone).
Working here. Thanks!
So let me ask you guys/gals is the bootloader locked than? Just need to find out before I go purchasing this phone through AT&T, thanks.

The bootloader is locked... Although you can root and install xposed, run root apps, and Debloat it's not likely that the bootloader will be unlocked anytime soon... So no custom recovery and no rooms.

Samsung note 3 SM-N900L root (bought from Korea)

Hi guys. Its my first topic in this forum so i would like to thank you guys for your efforts in this area. My question is; i cannot find any root for my phone. I tried to root my phone like sm-n900 models but it didn't work. How can i root my korean phone ?
Kingo Root
The very best way to root your android is through kingo root. It's the most convenient 2~4 click rooting process... just search for kingo root download for pc.. then follow instruction.. should be a piece of cake...
If it didn't work. Try to use odin.. NOTE: USE ODIN AT YOUR OWN RISK... (quite complicated though.. )

Need help Rooting two android devices

Hi all
please excuse the noobie question, hope this is the correct place to ask
I have two devices both running Android 5.1 lollipop
The first is a LG G3s D755 Phone
The second is a Hipstreet Pilot 10DTB42
I have tried some of the common methods to root both of them without success, any know if its possible and provide a link to a working method.
Thanks in advance for any help with this
Paul
PS if this is in the wrong forum perhaps a MOD could move it for me.
Thanks
I've got the hipstreet pilot too and want to root it but tech support won't help...
RE: For your ROOT PROBLEM TRY THIS
1. Try downloading kingo root
2. Then unlock developer options on your devices...
3. Then install kingo root on pc not on your mobile device as success rate would be lesser.
4. Then enable usb debugging mode.
5. Then install the abd drivers for your phone by finding on the net elsewhere.
6. Now finally on kingo root and connect your phone with min. 50% battery...
7. Enable usb debugging mode or else it wont work..
8. Then wait it will download the important files for the rooting...
9. It will reboot your phone three times approx.
10. Don't worry nothing has happened it is just flashing your memory and installing super user files...
11. Then wait. If your root is successful then it will show root successful or else it will say root failed...
12. If root successful eureka!!!. Or else please wait for some more months because it took me 5 months to root
intex aqua t5.
13. Then enjoy. But i cannot assure 100% success for every mobile but kingo root has provided 95% success for all devicers intex aqua t5 is my first mobile and was the first in the world to be rooted and is by me... So
chillax.
please thank my posts....
Rooting Hipstreet Pilot
Got myself a hipstreet pilot and have rooted successfully using an app called "iroot". The app must be version v3 or above to root though. Here is a direct link to the exact version I used: http://www.mediafire.com/file/de3391if9ya1sgp/iRoot_3.2.4_160914_0955.apk
If you have a proper twrp available for your device then surely flashing Magisk shud do.
else one click root tools are available

ZTE N817 - Cannot root ?

Just received a ZTE N817 ( ZTE Quest ) running KitKat 4.4.4 . I have tried most rooting methods, with no success.
Framaroot, Kingroot, iroot, 360 root, root genius and a few others, with no luck I've rooted dozens of phones with little to no problems...But this one is being tricky.
Has anyone successfully rooted their ZTE Quest ( ZTE N817 ) running 4.4.4
Success
I was able to root my ZTE n817 today using the PC version of iroot v 1.8.8.

I was able to finally root my ZTE Quest N817 with Kingo Root. I wouldn't root from the normal booted Homescreen.
I F'ed with a few different ways and Modes. Normal boot - FTM mode and Bootloader mode
But I member it finally rooting successfully, I ended up being in FTM mode. When I rebooted the phone. Kingo Roots Superuser popped up and asked me if I wanted to allow permission.
None of these methods worked for me.
this works!!! - weird mode you reboot into and it's weak

FINALLY SUCCESS! AGAIN for the ZTE WELLINGTON n817
The wellington is a tough one.
I just got success again after 4 months.
originally I used iroot and achieved success. It lasted for about 30 min. until I accidentally deleted the rommastersu app. I didnt want it but didnt know I would loose root by deleting it.
This time I did the adb reboot disemmcwp then ran the OLDER VERSION OF KINGO ROOT. The newer versions didnt work for me.
The version I used wAS................. Kingo Android Root Version: 1.4.9 and only download from kingoapp.com the rest of the other places apps were loaded with add-on garabage that you cant opt out of.
Worked for me too.

How to root Samsung J3 Pro SM-J3110

Dear friends help me, how to root Samsung J3 Pro SM-J3110?
help
i have the same phone help me to root it
Any one who wants to help?
Wish i could ...i have the emerge version of the J3....i dont really do dev wrk but the cf autoroot for the 2016 j3lte will brick any device thats diffrent. You could get ur boot img..m.make 2 folders of android kitchen and follow the twrp port tutorial using a official twrp with same specs and chipset...then u flash the universal su update to gain root once you boot recovery.....its not extremely technical sinve kitchen scripts do all the work. Search for andrioid image kitchen tutorials..and if you hit jackpot with twrp recovery flash no-verity-disable-encryption then proper supersu file...i believe its version 2.46 to be exact as the other builds bricked my device by using wrong su.update file...so be sure first and make a adb backup....tap build number in about device till ur a developer....enable usb debug....install samsung drivers..minimal adb as well for windows or even 15 sec install by developer Snoop15 ....then type in cmd ...adb device...screen will ask if pc has 9permision ....accept...then type in cmd... adb backup -shared -apk -all...confirm it and then do whatever measures you are wiling to take...its a big risk..research all my steps....its just the info u need to find the tutorials...im in no way responsible for you breakin your phone...its just what ive learned via youtube and xda .like i said its in no way complete tutorial just a method ive started compiling on Marshmallow device since kingroot might[heard its dangerous] not and other one clicks dont support past Lollipop 5.0 . THIS IS ONLY A THEORY .....ALWAYS HAVE A REPAIR METHOD 1ST since rooting manually can brick your device into a paperweight rather quickly.
