[Q] 3m depth rated N5 case..? - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello Folks,
I'm not sure if one has been made yet. But I would like to have a case that is rated to a depth of 3 meters, and being rated thus would also be basically sand/dust proof. It's not that I plan on going swimming with it of be taking under water pictures.
I do have a set of wired headphones that I currently use, but if I could have my N5 in a sealed case I have no issue using my Motorola Bluetooth Headset.
If anyone has found and using this type of case, please post your review and site or store you purchased it from also payment method.
Thank you for your assistance with my query.

Let all of use know if you see one. I am looking for something even like a lifeproof knockoff. Have not seen anything like it yet. The closest thing waterproof are those sealed pouches that you can find on ebay.

was wondering if anyone has bought one of these or if you have bought another kind you can post it up too...i've been looking for one for when i workout at the gym and want something thats durable....any input is welcomed
I have a similar one (neoprene as well) I bought at a sporting goods store. Works very well. Even had it strapped to my bike's stem while riding.
It's showing an iphone, I'm guessing it will still fit snug in the same case? Whatever the "case", definitely make sure it's adjustable. The stretchy type ones are either too tight or loose eventually. My last one cut off circulation and really hampered my workouts. Good luck.
I just bought one of those cases and it's not the best fit. Sure it fits in it but it's loose and a majority of the screen is covered. It list Razr, pearl, and others as compatible

Is there a Nexus 6P case without headphone cutouts?

So I've searched the forums and can't see it's been asked and answered - does anyone know of any cases that don't have a headphone cutout?
I never use corded headphones (I have multiple wireless earphones) and having the cutout there just allows a lot of dust and dirt to get into the case.
Does such a thing exist for the Nexus 6P?
Never seen one. The Ringke Fusion has a plug that covers up the headphone port tho, that's probably as close as you'll get.
My case
Hello,
I know it's not sleek, but... It works with pretty much any headphone connector.
EDIT: I completely missunderstood first post.... sorry... nevermind...
you can try the iPhone 7 cases
Just buy a set of these dust plugs?? https://www.amazon.com/Black-3-5mm-Headphone-Dustproof-Iphone/dp/B00AAB4TU6
Or this:

Thanks everyone for your suggestions, I've gone and ordered a local variant of petzku's suggestion. It's not a perfect solution (lets dust inside the case but stops it getting inside the phone) but it's the most likely one for now.
If anyone does come across a case that offers this (3D printing customisation?) please feel free to leave another comment.
Since you said you own mutiple sets of wireless earphones for the 6p, do you have any favorites or recommendations?

Hi bikeryder007, happy to make a couple of suggestions. I have ended up with a premium set and a cheap set to fulfil my day to day needs. I did buy them a while ago though so not sure if they're the current best but I regularly recommend both of these to friends.
Premium - my main day to day ones are Jaybird Bluebuds X (https://www.engadget.com/products/jaybird/bluebuds/x/). I bought them over 2 years ago but they are still going strong so I'd highly recommend whatever model has replaced this one in the market. The only drawback with these is I couldn't get the silicone tips comfortable in my ears so I use comply foam tips (http://www.complyfoam.com/). These have a really good sound quality, great battery life, and with the comply tips are very comfortable. I can't recommend these highly enough.
Cheap - I wear Mpow Swifts (http://www.bestbluetoothearbuds.net/mpow-swift-review-excellent/) when I'm working around the yard so I don't care if they are accidentally destroyed. I bought these about 12 months ago and they still have them in stock - http://www.gearbest.com/mpow-swift-_gear/. They were the cheapest at the time for me in Australia. I've dropped these in a bucket of poison that I was going to spray on the yard and ended up completely submerging these to wash them with soap thinking I'd lost them. However after a week of drying they fire up fine and have worked for several months since.
So if you want something cheap, go the Mpow, if you want high quality, go with a Jaybird.

You can always use dust plugs
i only have one case and its called Ringke fusion , it has a flap like thingie that covers the headphone jack , so you dont have to ever worry of getting dust in there.
i've had it on my 6p since i bought it day 1, which is roughly 4 months ago and it has been very good so far.
it can take minor drops.
have not had it fall down from too high yet.
it is very durable, but i am still waiting for my supcase unicorn beetle.(which is also a great case).

Simple case for Mi 5 that you can attach a lanyard to?

Hi,
Is anyone aware of a simple and reasonable looking (not cute or covered in decorations) case for the Mi5/s that you can attach a lanyard to. I'm after two cases, a waterproof one, of which there are a numerous generic ones on Amazon (very few Mi5 specific) but also just a simple case that the phone sits in, to which a lanyard can be attached, as I work outdoors and would like to use this phone to replace my compact camera.
I've been searching on Google and anything vaguely like what I'm after is either leather, covered in cartoons or made to resemble melting ice cream.

Ringke Fusion for Mi 5 might right be up your alley. In my country, it came with a note to leave an honest review on the item and they sent a high quality handstrap worth $11. Sorry can't link yet.
+1 for the Ringke Fusion. I have it, not the best on "preserving the look", but it definitely protects very well the phone.
And obviously you can attach a lanyard.
Thanks, I've decided to go for a Mi5s, for which there seems to be even less accessories and cases for. If anyone knows of any suitable ones for the Mi5s, please comment below. Otherwise, I think I'll need to modify a standard Mi5s case.

You won't regret that. Just make sure you get the plus model.
I ordered 2 from Aliexpress

We will see what will come
I bought this from eBay.
spigen case.
Wrong thread.
Bought official slim flip brown case, it is really worthy for such nice looking bhone, it is clearly much better quality than common chinese flip cases.
As is stated in other thread here, it does not have a magnet, a had to insert small magnet from notebook HDD into card pocket for screen sensor to work.
Bought something like this: https://ae01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1fgy0...d-PC-Soft-Silicone-Back-Phone.jpg_640x640.jpg
Looks nice, looks even a bit more premium (I mean.. I payed for it like 3$ ) than it's worth. Doesn't feel like it. But the doesn't offer as much of protection as it's advertised. I guess none of them protect the phone any more.. The leg is quite useful (Cheaply made, could break off pretty easily, yet it's still intact on my phone). All the holes for jack ports sucks. 3.5mm impossible to fit (well.. I use other headphones, maybe original ones fit). Maybe I will make the hole bigger somehow.. USB jack also gives problems. You have to adjust the bottom part of the case everytime. Can live with it, but could be better.

Cases that work with magnetic car mounts?

Any cases that work without putting the little metal thing inside the case?

I think iptika, someone was posting a discount on here, I think. I have read that due to the magnets, it's messes the compass up hence the navigation. Maybe someone who owns one. The case is quite expensive for what you get and I'm not sure if it's the same case with s10, but on amazon, the standard wireless mount is stated not to work on s9, a particular version was released. But still only 10w, I think s10 can do faster.

PITAKA
Pitaka takes $45 just for a case? Man, that's more expensive than OEM or Apple... I'm also looking for a case for a magnetic car mount that works with wireless charging (also while mounted), but $45 is way too much and here in Germany the case isn't available, yet.
It's a rip off, I normally research s10 cases by finding a popular or reviewed one and then checking the s9 version reviews on amazon (find case on amazon, then put link on fakespot.com or if using the browser plugin: click fakespot button).
Some reviews says ipitka is flimsy. Also just the case at that price still needs another £30-£40 for the vent wireless charging magnetic mount (which has a fan). Not worth it better getting the non-magnetoc mount with wireless built, at least that way no interference with compass and you can use own case.
