Use 7-zip to extract the files. You'll need adb/fastboot to flash the files
i did that, it gave me a tar file... so when i extract its not giving me the same thing as in the guide
You need to extract that too. A .tgz file is a gzipped tar file. 7zip will handle booth.
Once you have that extracted, and if you have drivers and adb setup, reboot into the bootloader and run the flash-all.bat file. You'll loose everything on the phone in the process, but you should be back to new.
yeah sorry for stupidity, i got it running now. seems to have worked and thanks a bunch.

Hello all,
Firs I like to apologies if I've posted in the wrong section of the forum.
As the title says, I have a Iglo A101 with GingerBread 2.3.4 phone and I accidently deleted the system/bin/sh file.
I was searching for a2sd and I downloaded it, but when running it, instead of pressing 1 - "install a2sd" I pressed 2 "uninstall a2sd", by mistake, and by the time I realized the sh file was deleted. Now the phone is no longer rooted and can't be rooted and also my Wi-Fi doesn't work anymore.
I've search the net for answer but I can't find a solution to this type of phone.
Could someone help me fix this or at least get the Wi-Fi working again?
Thanks in advanced...
OK, I've manage to contact the retailer and he gave me what appears to be the all system files, as now I have a rar containg system.img userdata.img recovery.img etc etc. How do I install this files, because he doesn't appear to know either. I tried from the recovery mode using install update.zip from sdcard but it give's me invalid OTA package and I can't find an answer on how to flash a img file from recovery mode...

Does the device have fastboot? If so the files need to flashed using fastboot. The command is fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot flash system system.img.
If your device does not have fastboot then you will need to extract the system.img and make a flashable .zip so you can flash through CWM or whatever your recovery is. If you are using stock recovery then I eexpect you will either need to find a solution or send it off for repair. I will have a look into helping you get your device back up and running but I cant promise to succeed. Give me a few days and I will report back with any solutions or info to get you on your way to fixing your device.
Regards
Blackwatch

hi
i had similar problem on this device a101 i did not delete any folder but by rooting the device my wifi and Bluetooth stoped working.i solved the problem by the factory menu.....have you tried it?
i did factory reset, but since there a system file missing it doesn't solve it..Can't there be a way to create an update.zip package with the sh file and then apply like an update from recovery? I've been trying to understand what does invalid OTA package mean, I think if that would be solved then I could easily put the file back...
i think you need spb launcher
i have to admit i used it only ones before for china 5388 there i needed com + usb cable here you need just a normal cable us the boot on this phone is different i have all you need give me email i will send to you. i have scater for a101 file too.i never used it but i have.Us i said my phone work ok after reset from factory mode
still nothing?

Try a different file ZIP , have the correct USB drivers installed , I disabled KIES ( the processes) / I uninstalled KIES (You'll need to download the correct drivers),Turn off firewall and antivirus.....
boot into recovery(if you have it) and format /system ???
I would try just wiping /data first.
If you wipe /system you obviously will not be able to boot into OS, maybe not even recovery mode.

I can't boot into recovery:crying:
You dont have mamy options now.
Try finding proper .pit file and stock Odin package for your device , if thay doesnt work you may need.to select re-partition. Only select re-partition with a .pit file.
Other than that, JTAG would be your only hope.

Hey guys,
I know that many of you have given a bunch of solutions to the error message saying that the play store can't establish a reliable connection. However, I've tried all of those methods and none have worked. I got here in the first place because I couldn't connect to the play store. When I cleared data, I was logged out and couldn't log back in. I've tried editing the host file using total commander, clearing cache/data, and even a factory reset. Do you guys have any solutions? Thanks in advance.
Did you run Towelroot?
If so a friend of mine went into system/etc/hosts and commented out one of the IP addresses and it worked fine. Factory resetting doesn't change back system files to my knowledge.

I'm not sure what towel root is, but that is exactly what I did using total commander. I put a # before the second address. That didn't work. Also, since resetting won't change system files, I tried flashing a factory image. However, when I try to download the latest image on my PC, the download shows up as a document and not as a zipped file. That means that there is no flash-all script to run. I've reached a wall lol if you could think of anything that would work, I would appreciate that. Also, thanks for replying!
Winrarlabs.com and get latest WinRAR and extract the .tgz file with WinRAR to same directory as fastboot. Flash all script will be there once you extract .tgz

Install winrar. Open the .tgz file via winrar and then extract all the files you get there. flash-all file will be among those files

Not sure what instructions you've followed. Either they're incomplete or you made a mistake. Like I said, your screenshot shows a zip file. You need to unzip that in the location that it is in now

Just fastboot flash it then.
Link to guides in my signature.
I have similar issues. Mine complains that the archive doesn't contain boot.sig and recovery.sig, and then it fails to allocate space and the update package missing system.img.
Going to do it manually now to see if it works

Hello all!
This is my first tutorial here, hope to be useful as it was for me. After several attempts and extense research mainly here in XDA I finally achieved to downgrade my SM-G920I from 7.0 to 6.0.1 even with secure boot enabled.
The basics: Using a chilean stock 6.0.1 ROM:
- I've extracted all files from the stock rom and repacked it as 4 files without sboot.bin Instructions here: forum DOT gsmhosting DOT com/vbb/f777/tutorial-create-samsung-4-file-multi-firmware-your-own-100-a-1860706/- I've used a PIT default file for my model and region from here: sammobile dot com/forum/threads/30173-galaxy-S6-G920-pit-files
The instructions are the usual, Using Odin 3.12, flash the files into their respective slots and select the PIT file into PIT tab also. In options disable auto reboot and check re partition.
Download link in progress, but you can DIY with the instructions before.
downgrade issue can you give me the PIT file for sm-g920f please
also i have issue to back to nougat an error occured hidden.img durinf flashing

There is easier way ,after extracting delete all .bin (aboot cache hidden and something else cant remember)then repack using 7zip to the originat format u will notice that the new archive is bigger it's about 3.6 gb inside there is data, system and some other files flash the new archive with odin and thats all ,worked fine t mobile g920t downgrading from nougat to mm

Yes, you are right. Using 7zip is a lot easier.
Will work on Att version G920A with locked bootloader on 7.0? I've been researching 2 days to see about downgrading it 6.0.1 while taking least chances as possible. If answer is yes, when repackaging should I remove md5 extension on all 4 files?
Thanks
