[Q] Custom Roms for ST21a2 with working dual sim - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

Hi,
I tried to answer my question myself by searching the forum but i'm kind of getting confusing answers.
I have the Xperia Tipo Dual ST21a2 and I'm looking for a custom ROM. I'm looking for a ROM which supports the dual sim feature whith GSM,etc support on both simcards and calling, etc. like the original firmware.
I was looking for ROMs and I found a couple like Gimlo 2.0 which works fine for the Tipo but there are confusing answers about the full compatibility to the tipo dual. Some say it doesn't work the same on Tipo Dual because it's different to Tipo. Some say it works, but no further explanation. I get that the Roms would work but not with the full features.
Can somebody please tell me which Roms work perfectly with the ST21a2 with all the built in features.
Are there any steps I have to be carefull about during installation because it is a tipo dual and not tipo?
Is there somewhere a thread or a list which describes what things wont work on tipo dual, what works and what's needed if using tipo dual.
Thank you and I hope I'm not making a redundant thread, but I always find a lot for Tipo and not really exact explanation if it also works for dual.
Cheers,
ndo

I installed Gimlo Firrmware and ROM. I reinstalled it many many times to get the best configuration. Now I installed all my apps and have my data etc. back.
The only thing that doesn't work is the Notification LED. I read it is because I need to flash 4.22 with flashtool. Because everything would be gone would it be possible to restore my current running system from a nandroid backup with cwm and the LEDs would work? Or do I have to install Gimlo firmware and ROM fresh after flashing to 4.22?

if your leds worked earlier, then you can restore that particular backup and everything will be like earlier.

Xperia E Cyanogenmod no mobile network

Hi.
First off all, my English is not soo good.
I have a question about the Cyanogenmod 10. I installed it on my Sony Xperia E single sim (C1505).
After i unlocked my bootloader, i flashed the CWM & then installed CM10 FXP218 nanhu.
Everything works. Camera, bluetooth, gps.... The only problem is, i have no gsm service. I can acces the SIM toolkit, but Android don't ask a PIN code or something. I can see the IMEI code in the settings...
I have no 2G or 3G.
After i restored the original ROM, everything works well...
Whats the problem?
Grtz. Jeff
Me too.. Have you try 219?? I cant down on upload.net , cant test 219
I tried FX219. But it is the same as all others builds.
Bluetooth don't work either... I'm now back on stock rom, and gonna stay on that.
As far as I know, there is no GSM for Xperia E now (you can see it in the changelog of Cm10 by FXP)
FXP team is currently working mostly on high end devices (I presume) so it will be long until we have GSM on our beloved XE *cry*
Sent from my Xperia E using xda premium
Somebody tested FXP 220?
keep your eyes on the bug tracker it will tell you if and what bugs are presant and on the change log for that bug to be fixed. bear in mind FXP have alot of devices to maintain so be patiant.
Pff, can't wait on it!
Stock rom doesn't work so fast...

Thank u very much for link yayakuya post works perfectly for ss
battery stuck at 100%
When I flash the singls sim version (from the link in the previous post) on my Xperia E Single Sim C1505, the battery is stuck at 100% and won't charge, not even when the device is turned off. GSM and bluetooth are working fine though. When I flash the FreeXperia version the battery info is correct, but GSM isn't working. Is there something I'm not doing right? I don't suppose there's an easy way to combine the two roms so we can use the gsm fix on the FreeXperia rom or the battery fix on the rom with working GSM..

Wait, isn't this @jjm34 his update? Does this fix it????
That's interesting, will try this for sure.
What do you do when you flash it? Wipe dalvik-cache and normal cache?
Oh and what are you using? Just jjm34 his ROM and kernel? Or jjm34 his ROM and hsr0 his kernel?

[Q] Stock xperia e JB rom for tipo

Greetings xda,
I was thinking about porting the stock j.b. rom of the xperia e to tipo, because it's a nice rom, with a very nice UI, and also it could be a good upgrade for the xperia tipo, with an "official sony" touch. Since both phones are much alike in specs (they have same amount of ram, almost the same cpu, same screen, same gpu and same camera) I consider that this could be possible. So here's my question: how hard can it be? And also what would I need to make the port on an xperia tipo? Note that I'd like to port the official stock, generic one (rootable, if possible), with no modifications like UI, etc.
Your post is in the wrong section. . I report to modeators to move to Q/A
As will be moved there by the moderator if you answer.
Sure. No problem.
I have found a method of porting a pre-rooted rom's files from a phone to a computer (here's the page: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=49766028). Could I do something similar to make the port I'm interested in?

Question regarding the modification of the Sony Xperia Z

Greetings to everyone, I'm new here
I'm here with a question regarding the modification of the Sony Xperia Z which I have googled, alas, to no avail.
Okay, here goes;
I recently rooted my phone, installed CWM and flashed DoomKernel for my Xperia Z..
However, I've recently read online that Roms and Kernels are two different things, and hence I'm wondering if it's possible to flash BOTH DoomKernel and another custom Rom (and get them working together?)
For e.g. DoomKernel and CyanogenMod, or FukLag Rom..
Any replies or help would be appreciated, thanks!

Xperia tipo stock ROM

Hello, I have installed Paradox ROM. Although it's ok, I would like to go back to stock ROM. Does anyone have a link for the stock ROM, and some basic instructions?
Is it Tipo Dual Sim?
Anyway here is a bunch of Stock Roms,
This is a CWM flasable zip
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-j-e/development/tipo-cwm-flashable-zip-firmware-4-27-t2249487
This one is a modified Stock Rom for better features
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-j-e/development/rom-t2203388
And this one support both versions of Tipo
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-j-e/development/rom-gimlo-v2-0-t2123835
Instructions are included.
Choose the compatible version with your device.
And don't forget to READ CAREFULLY
Thanks, will give it a try, ass soone I finish some school projects
And, it's NOT a tipo dual

[Q] Best ROM KitKat 4.4 for Xperia E Dual

Dear All,
Im reading for days but I cannot figure out: What is the most stable KitKat (v4.4.x) version for the Sony Xperia E Dual (C1605). All the versions I see e.g. CM11 are almost one year old with bugs. I like to have the camera working. I also see a lot of FW/ROM cominations. But I don't see a version which is stable and say one or two monds old.
Can someone tell what is the latest most stable KitKat (v4.4.x) ROM (and kernel). I don't need special theams, overclocking, games etc I only need stability at KitKat. And where to download

All KitKat based ROM that there are currently are only for single Sim version and no one is stable because port KitKat on an old device is difficult. Try stock based ROM and you will not be disappointed (I hope).
Thank you very much for your answer.
Ok that's why I didn't succeeded. I tried several roms and kernels but none of them worked with dual sim or where 4.4.
I now recovered with flashmode and C1605_11.3.A.3.1_CE.ftf. Hopefully this also restores the kernel and wipes all previous settings?
I hope it will work better now. My xperia rebooted automatically so now and then (especially after power down) and I had hoped to solve it with a new ROM. Because it's not the battery or battery contacts.

When you flash a firmware it'll reset all your settings, contacts, etc.
So your device reboot by itself? I never had this problem and I think that you will not solve it flashing another ROM, anyway I recommend to you to try Candy's ROM (by TheBrainCandy).
P.S.: Sorry for my bad English.
