Similar if not same battery and WiFi icons, maybe Google previews their next version of Android in a earlier version Chrome OS!!
Probably not, but still I found it interesting. Didn't include the font on KitKat because I've changed it on mine.

That's interesting - neat observation. Icons are all kind of blending in on devices now and looking so similar, surprised you noticed a similarity.

I see that services.jar use images from framework I think that can be possible use somethink like this attached files for images (images from SwitchPro).
The problems that I fount is that explanation says modify:
com/android/server/status/StatusBarService$31
but I think that on HTC sercives.jar is:
com/android/server/status/StatusBarService$5
There are a lot of things different but I can't understant for the moment.
Very good idea to develop, interesting and useful
Common: Galaxy S style power widget in notification bar - Pedlar

I believe these are in the CM nightlies.
It's not the same, but it might be useful.

CyanogenMod and HTC also have different framework-res.apk and services.jar, for this reason, it also easly portable from this
I'm looking for this on MIUI ROM but also, it has a lot of different code, something on common an something different. But seems to be more similar with HTC framework that Samsung Vibrant.
Another ROM without Sense here with the same MOD applyed:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8761473&postcount=2431
its Defrost. Currently Nightly build of CM got it. Hope this got ported to sense though.

Nope. Really no idea why they insist on doing that. Must be legal reasons.
Thanks you for this

Hello XDA,
I am still very confused about google's aleged new release of android 4.4, 5?
Earlier this year, I thought that common knowledge was google would release a huge update named Key Lime Pie, version 5.0. Now we know it's android Kit Kat (........), and according to some pics and videos, it is version 4.4? Why would google not make it 5.0? Are they planning something new for android 5? It looks like (according to these leaked pics) that they are going for a very new UI, which I think would constitute a new version of android.
Here are the pics I was referring to:

}
(see the 4.4 android version)
I don't know if those pics are fake, they very well could be.
Thanks for the help!

What do you mean by this?
i was also under the impression that it was to be version 5.0
not sure where 4.4 came from
could you provide a link of where u got these images?
im sure kit kat is just a preview of what's to come like jellybean 4.1 to 4.2 and 4.3, it gives the community a better way to develop more options..
I think we feed into the version numbers a little to much... I believe following the nicknames is a better indicator that something is going to be different about the next update, or at least a bigger change... When we get to 5.0, there might be a big UI change...

I really came to love tinted system bars, the possibility of the status bar adapting its colour to the app. A quick example for anyone not familiar:

}
I upgraded to Android 5.0 and am missing this option a lot, it makes my screen look a lot smaller. I found workarounds with 3rd party apps for everything else still not integrated in 5.0 (like PIE controls), but could not find anything for TSB. I know XPOSED doesn't work with ART, but I'd like to know if anyone else had found a possible workaround until we get TSB. All I found was info about how to make apps take advantage of this on www.stackoverflow.com, something way too technical for me as of now.
As of now, I think its just a case of waiting for app developers to update their apps to support it in Lollipop. Some apps (mainly Google apps) support it currently - so its definitely still a feature.
There's no method to.force apps as of right now.

Was afraid of that.. Well, back on Mahdi ROM (4.4.4) again where this & PIE is built in the ROM, I like it better than 5.0 (still).
Thanks for the answer!
Hi,
I got the Miui v8 update today so thought of sharing the review.
1. New theme, looks way cooler than the old default theme.
2. Status bar changed, looks like they went back to the single page status bar with toggles and notifications on the same page.
3. Notifications popup changed, looks way cooler now.
4. Dual app feature. This allows us to use 2 instances of the same app. Which means now u can login to 2 whatsapp accounts on your single phone without any rooting or anything.
5. Battery charging time displayed in status bar.
6. Screenshot now has option to copy full scroll
I'll post more as i discover them, others are welcome to share their experience.:highfive:
And btw, v8 is still based on Android Lolipop v5.0
