Go into Wi-Fi settings, long-press on the SSID you are using, select 'Advanced' and change it there.

Please explain to me how to enter most settings, one on the Android hd2 so that I can browse through to Wireless
ip address :192.168.1.254
subent mask:255.255.255.0
default gateway:192.168.1.254
preferred dns server:212.122.224.10
alternate dns server:212.122.224.11
Go to settings-> wireless and network -> wifi settings -> press menu key and go to "advanced" settings .. then check "use static ip".. then type in your ip, gateway, netmask, dns1

if u want 3g or edge call ur network provider..

This is correct .
Also if you need to change those settings depending on the wifi you are near, try this.
btw please use the edit button , to change your thread title so something usefull.
I wanted my Sensation to connect to my wifi network with a static IP address instead of DHCP and did not find a setting for that. Is there a way to do this?

Hmm, Interesting question. I don't know what ROM you're on, I had a quick look in mine (CM7) and couldn't see a setting. I did have a look on the market, searched for "static" and a couple of "static IP" suggestions popped up. You could try them.
of course you can. menu -> setting -> wireless & network -> wifi settings, then press menu, click "advanced", and checked the Use static IP.

Not used it in ages, last time was to confirm WIFI sleep policy on my Desire.

I'm on ROM remics 2.0. I can're ask this in the Dev forum because I've not enough posts for this.
My problem is that I don't have wifi settings in options menu. I can're search for wifi nets neither set a static IP or something else.
Can somebody help me?
Its working for me. Go to settings. You will have the wifi on/off toggle button. Instead of clicking the button click on the wifi icon. It will go to wifi settings menu and list all your networks. To set the static ip and all for a network, long press on a network => Modify network. check the advanced settings option and DHCP to static in the combobox. You can manually put all the settings in the section after the combobox....

before you connect to your wifi, where it asks you for passphrase, just tick the "advance" option, then tab on dhcp, then select static, here is where you specify your dns.
Longpress the network in the settings menu, select modify and click advanced. Set it to static and there you go, manually settings.

I'm using custom ROM (CanGalaxyS4 v3). When I connected my phone in my college then my ip is being 192.168.1.101
Unfortunately, this ip has banned in my college. If I want to use Wi-fi then I must have to change my ip.
is there any working way? I' tried couple of wifi change app but it;s not working.
Please help me guys. Thanks in advance.

Just ask one of your friends weather their wifi is connecting or not. If yes. Just copy their IP address, that's what I do

Hi,
follow the below steps to change your wifi IP
go to wifi settings....
long press the college's network name to modify it
tick the option "show advanced options"
change "IP settings" from DHCP to static
then change your IP from the option "IP address"....try changing the last no. 101 to something else.....
save the settings....DONE !!!
