Hi,
I thought I would be able to crack this one for myself. But somehow I can't get it to work.
I would like to make some Camera Templates of my own. However the "how to" descriptions I have found won't work even though they should.
This is what I have done:
I made a animated gif (using Gimp I was able to see the structure of the deliverd templates)
The first picture (in the animated gif) is the template with a black area for the actual photo
2 The second layer is an empty transparent layer
3 This is a transparent layer with a a black area for the actual photo surrounded by white.
What happens is first I don't see any open arears while taking a picture. After taken a picture anyway the photo will be shown but not in the arears that I want wanted it to bb.
What am I doing wrong?
I have googled for two nights now and I have tried several ways to create this (GIMP and Photoshop CS3) I'm on some kind of track but is it the right one? This shoud have been so easy to create right?
Regards,
AJ
I cracked it ;-)
The secret is in how you save it.
This is how you do it:
Make sure that the background is set on transparent.
Take any picture and cut out for example a hole for the face by making this area black.
Make a second layer and make the same area black
Now draw a white line around this black area (not sure if you really need to do this so try it out)
Now create an animated gif that only runs once.
Now the big secret, I use Photoshop for this example but you'll probably regonize these settings for other programs
color reduction: Windows
dither algorythm: Pattern
Transparency: No transparency dither
Interlaced
Colors: 256
Matte (I made this black play around with it to see what happens)
Web Snap 0% (if you change this you get a more ghostly effect)

AJ
These kind of things are very easy to make.
Just go to a website. Print screen it and past it in the 640 x 480 canvas. Then modify it until it is to your satisfaction.
Use the rectange tool to create the black area that will be used as the hole for the picture.
Now duplicate the rectange and go to "Layer Style" choose "Stroke" and make a white outside stroke of 1 pixel.
Now all you need to do is create an animated gif.
Go to "Windows" and choose "animation"
Make 2 frames in the animation box.
The first one is the picture with the black area
The second one is nothing but the black area with the white stroke, and save this as an animated gif.
color reduction: Windows
dither algorythm: Pattern
Transparency: No transparency dither
Interlaced
Colors: 256
Matte black
Web Snap 0%

Hi, I'm sorry for this noobish question, but where do these things go?
I saw somewhere on the internet that there should be a couple of "beeldthema's" or templates standard on this phone, but I only have the one of "Woman best buy top 10" and "MAN Person of the year" (this is 1 template with 2 pictures)
Is there a website where i can download these templates the other touch pro's have? I saw there was one on some Touch Pro's with a cook and some others too.
Thanks in advance
Hi, Ali3nSt0rm
On the Touch pro, and my gues is on the Diamond as well these things go in "my documents" "Templates"
(dutch)of "mijn documenten" en waarschijnlijk heet het in het Nederlands ook template en anders iets van Beeldthema ofzo.(/dutch)
Or you could just search your device for gif files and you'll find the spot where to put them.
For the internet:
Search for "camera templates" and you'll find lot's of free templates (like this one: http://xda-v.6te.net/)
You can also Google: [camera template site:xda-developers.com] and find a lot more templates.

printing is actually the goal
my epson iprint app is available as a (share or send to option) by quite a few text/pad apps, the apps i have found with print/share option dont have adjustable font size.
i have quickoffice pro which has all options but when i send to print it looks as though it will/does but the print app just closes and doesnt print
help please
At one point i had an application, thought it was Snote or Supernote.....
that when i did handwriting it converted to text automatically while i wrote (if i paused for a second).
It was really cool and in a cool font. I cannot read my own handwriting and this app did it amazingly fast.
Where is it and how do i get it back.
I have even flashed my Note Pro back to 4.4.2 to see if it was some sort of an update to Snote that i found while searching the forum.
Any way no luck.
Any help greatly appreciated.
I might be wrong but it sounds like you might mean the handwriting keyboard. This allows you to write in pretty much any application with handwriting. It puts a little notepad where the keyboard would normally pop up. As you write it converts to text with kind of a cool handwriting font. To access it make sure you have the default samsung keyboard. Then tap the little microphone/gear icon to the left of the spacebar. Then choose the handwriting icon. That should pop up the handwriting pad.
Alternatively there is a google handwriting input keyboard available in the app store, but I find the samsung one just as goo.
Yes I think thats it....i just am missing one piece of the puzzle....which app or application do i start to write my notes in?
I just tried Snote and it didnt do it and i also tries supernote but it didn't do it either.
I just would like to make some great notes and poems and such with a readable cool font....like you mentioned.
I cant seem to see how to attach a pic either... imgur.com/a/WuvaS
Also followed these directions,
tomsguide com faq id-1765262 enable-handwriting-text-note
but the function icon or the T button are not there.
Maybe I have the wrong Snote apk/application
Below is the process (from tomsguide website) that would help you enable the Handwriting-to-Text option in the S Note:
On your Samsung smartphone or tablet, tap the app drawer icon.
Tap the S Note icon to initiate the app.
On the displayed S Note screen, tap the + icon from the top right corner.
On the Select a template window, choose the template of your choice from the displayed list by tapping on it.
Once created, long tap (tap and hold) the Formula Match icon, i.e. f(x), from the Productivity Tools bar at the top left corner.
From the displayed options, tab Handwriting-to-Text icon, i.e. T, to select it.
You will see that now you can use the stylus to create handwritten characters on the page which are then automatically converted to the text.
In order to get the normal handwritten typing format back, you can simply tap the pen icon from the Productivity Tools bar.
You can also follow the 5[super]th[/super] step and select the Formula Match or Shape Match icon to make the S Note recognize the formulas or drawn shapes respectively using the stylus and convert them to their corresponding objects.
You can do it in S-note. After You open S-note make sure YOU select all from the drop down on the upper-left. Then hit the drop down men dots on the right and choose template. This gives you a much larger selection of templates like portrait notes and such. Choose whichever you like and write your note. You can either handwrite Your note or choose the T option and have it convert to text as you write. Once you have it converted to text use the selection tool. Choose properties and then change the font.
Thank you.
I am just flashing Nougat and will check in again later.
Yes the Handwriting Keyboard works.....just not the same as the Snote from before (like on the Note 2).
I did like the Magnetic Lasso.
