Hi, after I unlocked the bootloader and rooted my XT985 I can't connect to the wireless network any more.
Could that have caused this???

Hey guys,
I've my Trophy unlocked with Chevron, but i've a problem with this. I've to unlock the phone everytime i connect it to the PC :S Is it normal? Before this unlock, my phone was completely stock, no modified ROMs or such.
Thanks
No one knows how to fix this?
did you ask the chevron guys ?
With a network locked phone and a custom ROM, will I still be locked to the network?
Also, how do I know if my phone is locked? It won't run with other SIM cards in it, but there's no message. It just crashes at the "Omnia 7" logo and reboots endlessly.
And finally, are you supposed to do the network unlock before installing a custom ROM? I've read that some unlockers check "software version" and mine is likely to be obscure.
Thanks
To answer my questions (for the benefit of others finding this thread).
1. Custom ROMs and bootloaders are entirely separate from network unlocking.
2. Um, it was locked as I thought.
3. Didn't seem to matter. Which was fortunate since my device identifies as a Nokia but the Samsung unlock worked anyway.
Unlocking HTC Radar c110e Carrier lock

Hi. i m a little confused about phone unlocking. i m on Three UK with a HTC phone which is carrier locked. so no other sim is gonna be used on that phone. if i unlock the boot loader via HTCdev and after that i install/flash a custom rom, will it stay locked? even after flashing another ROM? and can someone tell me how the carriers put a lock on their devices?
thank u.
My phone is through Bell (which I bought outright). Without an unlocked bootloader that means I can't flash custom kernals correct? Is there a way to get around this? Why is my phone's bootloader unable to be unlocked but others are? Any help / clarification appreciated.
If it says "Bootloader unlock allowed: no" then there is unfortunately no way to unlock the bootloader so you can't flash a custom kernel or most of the roms!
this can't be changed except you replace the motherboard or buy another one :/
