Can somebody help. Every time I flash a new ROM I seem to have features of the previous ROM, any ideas on how to get rid of that, and I'm alone in this.

Yes, more details would help. What ROM were you on, how are you flashing new ROM, etc
Does your device have its own section?
General full clean flash involves booting recovery, factory reset, advanced, wipe dalvik cache, mounts and storage, format system.
Install Rom zip and gapps package and reboot.

New market, still "no room" error. Just figured someone may want it.
Thanks!
That error has to do with a problem in the kernel (Basically all of them). It has been fixed for a while now though.

Well I guess I'll switch again, using Infused, look out Entropy.
I've never seen this error!

Yeah but which is the fixed kernel? My wife's phone is stock, rooted, and has cwm but no custom rom. So flashing a new fixes this error?

Entropy's daily driver, for example. You'll need to read into the various kernels to find out.
Its due to the 25mb cache size that the market uses for downloads, fixed kernels change the market storage to a different location

JL... you will learn a lot reading through each of the SR subforums... we all have. When you're done reading and ready to post a question... two suggestions for you:
1. Be clear and specific in your question.
2. Provide enough information so others can assist... for example, what steps did you take... what EXACTLY did you do or flash... file name... are you stock or do have custom rom/kernel/modem/recovery... etc.
BTW, "Update.zip" are installation packages primarily used in older 2e recovery partitions... if you have CWM, you can flash non-samsung zip packages by selecting "install zip from sdcard"... not the "install update.zip" option.
Thanx..read all night and just flashed sky kernal 009.mzip..finally a boot image other than [email protected] to set CPU slide in rom toolbox..not sure..set it at performance for now..any suggestive values?.I'm still reading.....good morning!

Wanna lite ROM for gt-19505. Works for 1337M using it for more than two weeks, very stable. Get that bloatware off that Rogers loves so much. Research it's all over the board.

Plug and play when you flash ROM don't wipe just flash over sick ROM will come with Adam kernel for battery savings. Gonna have to format your sd card to fat 32. Delete a few files use xplorer from play store to get rid of security message. You will get it after you flash.

I was messing around with some roms, make sure you don't flash anything that says LOKI'D
It will boot loop you.
As for TWRP, just use GooManager and open it, hit menu install open recovery script and hit yes a few times.
It'll install fine.
Thanks a lot everyone. Haven't formatted the disk yet and everything seems to be working fine. However, I'll give it a whirl anyways.
Recovery and rom running brilliantly!

Anyone know how to reroot the Infuse 4G after flashing a 4.3 rom?
Do we just reflash the kernel from Odin?

If you have flash a jellybean 4.3 rom ur already rooted this is what you have to do to get superuser to work.
Go to settings, go to developers options allow android debugging look for root access and change to apps and adb.

I would also like to add that after flashing stock over custom you WILL get stuck in a boot loop. All that is needed is to wipe cache and dalvik then reboot. Were you able to navigate recovery at all, or were there flashing lights and nothing else?

I don't doubt that you did, bro. If you're still having trouble booting into your stock ROM, try booting in to recovery and wipe cache partition and dalvic cache. Works every time

Here to help man. My blaze and I have been there done that. With the while multi color boot from hell that is. Man I've soft bricked about every kinda phone there is. The feeling of satisfaction after fixing your expensive holder downer of papers is amazing huh? Glad you got it fixed man. Really though I actually strongly recommend that PAC ROM. It's boss ninja style. Now that you have clockwork mod flashing is as smooth as pie. Make sure to nandroid (back up) first that way if anything goes wrong you're covered. But anyway enjoy the taste of victory brother.
