back up current rom

hi guys!
i have sgs 4g. im in 2.2,i want to back up my room..(rooted) I tried using rom manager. but i couldn't. anyone know how to back up my rom without rom manager?
If anyone know backup using rom manager , plz let me know..
does anyone have 2.2 orginal rom ?

Go to dev section find thread cwm final by krylon360. Follow directions to get it working.
Once you have cwm working you can enter recovery and make a backup of your rom.

Hi I'm looking to root my T-Mobile LG g2x 2.3.3 stock .there seems to be a lot of different ways to root my phone I want to know what the best one is also none of them ever say what to do with your SD card from start to finish.its my first time rooting and want to do it right the first time any help would be awesome thank you! !

On xda theirs no root method for 2.3.3. What you have to do is install a recovery, once you do that you can flash ROMs. And of course the ROMs give you root access.

There isn't only if you want to be technical. Unlockroot works, most likely your AV software is blocking it. Alternatively, you can do what the previous poster suggested, toss on CWM, and either load a custom ROM or a rooted stock one. Look in the dev section.

But seriously, there is a method on here that works. Check out my signature. It has the link for a working root for the G2x. The instructions can get a little "huh?" because of how they put it all together, but if I can pull it off first try, anyone can, lol.

I almost forgot, be sure to actually flash CWM with Nvflash. And only use CWM to flash a ROM. Stay far, far away from Rom Manager. It's not a true flash.

There are 3 ways to root g2x
1. Superoneclick stock 2.2.2 froyo rom
2. Flashable zip above stock 2.3.3 rom
3. Nvflash a rooted rom.

I still am having huge problems with this. I flashed the tar in Odin without the pit file. I then waited a little over 20 minutes with no boot. Now I cannot get CWM to load at all. I tried a stock restore and got the bootloop again. Then flashed CWM back on through Odin. Now CWM wont load and I am stuck on a bootloop.... I am not so sure this way is safe at the moment. Earlier I was able to load a DK8 back through CWM but now it wont load. I might be screwed here...

Did you do a stock restore through Odin or CWM?
If the Blaze is as hard to brick as the Exhilarate is I think you're ok, just need to figure what got mismatched. I pushed all kinds of stuff to the exhilarate before I found that the Blaze was the closest match.

I ended up getting it fixed randomly. Stock still bootloops for me but I ended up getting CWM so I am ok now. Sending it in just in case. Kinda strange stock won't load for me.

lol it may take a couple days for us to get it fully working. im not sure how making a cwm flashable zip would work. I know with the sensation I had to update firmware then flash so idk how this one will work or not. lol but im sure we will get it figured out just may take awhile.

Glad to hear it. This also makes it much easier for anyone to make ROMs and themes. Debloat is as simple as unzipping, removing from /system/app, rezip and flash.
You have to have an SDcard in the device for backup and install. FYI this makes it easier transfer it off for backup on your computer. That is always a good idea.

I've tried flashing this with TWRP as well as CWM and both give an error. CWM said it was expecting 4 args and got 5 but I can't seem to flash it. Took several attempts to complete the download as well, kept stopping halfway. Any mirror for this, I'm thinking the zip is being corrupted every time I download it.

Hey Guys I tried 2 flash this rom on my i497 and got the expecting 4 args but got 5 (status 7) error and now im stuck on the Samsung Logo Boot Screen. I don't understand how that can be unless you went from 4.1 down to 4.0.4 and the modem code was changed.
Its literally just deodexed. No library was changed. The boot.IMG is the same.
I'll try and run through why. Those would fail. They are working on my tab.....

Custom roms for Rogers customers

Any Canadians out there able to flash a custom ROM on your S4? I was able to put TWRP recovery on the phone, but haven't been able to have custom recovery boot up. Anyone else had any success? Am I missing something?

Wanna lite ROM for gt-19505. Works for 1337M using it for more than two weeks, very stable. Get that bloatware off that Rogers loves so much. Research it's all over the board.

Plug and play when you flash ROM don't wipe just flash over sick ROM will come with Adam kernel for battery savings. Gonna have to format your sd card to fat 32. Delete a few files use xplorer from play store to get rid of security message. You will get it after you flash.

Are you able to give me a list of the files you deleted and where they are located by any chance? Also, are you using CWM or TWRP? I'm having issues trying to get CWM onto my phone.

No problem, mount your card to your p.c. download Easeus partition master free edition follow steps...good to go.

Right click on the drive from your p.c. click format partition
Just make sure when selecting fat 32 you also choose 32 kb for cluster size

I was messing around with some roms, make sure you don't flash anything that says LOKI'D
It will boot loop you.
As for TWRP, just use GooManager and open it, hit menu install open recovery script and hit yes a few times.
It'll install fine.
