Well I flashed Franco kernel tonight and it gave me a different vibration.. And now the vibrator is pretty strong now... Is this a normal thing for flashing new kernals?

Yeah I noticed that too, there is a setting if you download the Franco app from the play store, turn the vibration down to 70%.
Oh thank yesus I thought I did something wrong! Hopefully Franco will save my battery -.-

Wait.. Is it the paid version with the vibration settings?

I use the paid version since I've used this kernel on my Nexus 7. I would think it would also be in the free one though.
Franco increased the strength of the vibration in his kernel from the stock of 65 to 100.

I'm having an issue with my nexus s 4g. When I'm on stock Tom non rooted eeverything works fine. When I root and put on different roms my phone acts weird. When I have a different rom on when I'm charging my phone everything is fine. As soon as I take the phone off and let the screen turn off for about 15+ seconds the screen won't turn back. The only way to turn the screen back on is removing the batteru and reinserting it. I've tried different roms but I'm having the same problem. I went back to stock in the meantime while I try to figure this out. Thanks in advance

I don't change any kernels. I do a lot of underclocking. I keep it at 1000 Max and 100 low on demand mode but when my screen is off I keep it at 100 max and low. I've tried different gingerbread roms. Today I tried the aosp rom and it did the same thing so I'm assuming its something with my phone

It's not the roms or the phone. You can't clock the processor down that low when screen is off. It will never wake up.

alright. Ill change it tomorrow and see wat happens. I was enjoying aosp rom. How low do you recoomend?

It's better to ask the kernel dev about clock speeds

I figured out that its set CPU which is affecting my phone. I'm on aosp ics from and its working great without it. As soon as I enable set CPU my phone starts acting weird.

Yeah, because you clocked it too low. When your remove setcpu, it returns to the kernels stock clock speeds. Don't blame the program....it's works just fine for everyone else.

when I did the adjustments to the setting it made my phone constantly reboot. I got rid of the app and my phone is fine. I never had an issue with it when I had it on my HTC evo 4g

Because you clocked it too low. I think anything below 800 while sleeping well prevent it from waking. You can't clock it at 100 max.

For some reason I can't post this in the bricked kernel thread so please correct me.
As the title says is their away I can enable some kinda sound control. Or can someone explain how I can post in the bricked thread. Thanks in advance

Do you know if that was by choice or do u know of any apps that can replace that function?

The nexus 5 sound is so low even with headphones and a equalizer but then I found franco with its sound control turned it to 20 broke my headphones turned it to 15 it was just right

In all seriousness, I'm not sure what time we're supposed to looking at to help. I see some wake locks happening for a few seconds.
I guess I didn't explain myself well... It's a picture of my phone off charging for a few hours.... But if you look at the line above it says statistics 0s (even though the statistics themselves have some seconds) and the detailed statistics are totally off - Google calendar had 24 wake locks for 2 sec while Tasker is over 1000 but under 1 second... All my setting are constantly skewed and totally off...

Is it a one time event or did this ashtrays happen. I use betterbatterystats and I have seen something similar, but it's always a time event and goes away next time i boot or plug the charger in.
It's been like this for almost a week. I've rebooted multiple times and deleted cache.

Sorry about the spell correction, lol. Damn ashtrays. I guess the only thing I would suggest would be to uninstall and then reinstall the app. I would have suggested clearing the cache but you're already done that.
Here's a screenshot of betterbatterystats with a few minutes of usage... It's totally empty and it definitely shouldn't be...

Hmm, both are for 4.4 KitKat? 4.4 made it more difficult to get the statistics and bbs wasn't working for awhile. The new version does work. Maybe Rom related?
It's neither... I've had this ROM for 2 weeks now without any real changes and it just stopped randomly...
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
There must be something wrong with the phone or corrupt on the ROM... better battery stats is only showing one wake lock (nlpwakelock)... Grrr

Thanks for all the help... In the end it's a ROM problem that a module in xposed can fix (except I'm on ART so I'm screwed).
Thanks for the help guys!

Yes, that may be it. The browser keeps locking your location to provide you the best results based on your location... Disable it and see if it helps :good:

Do i have to disable location completely (on battery saving now) or can i disable just dolphin from using it? I tried looking through dolphins settings but couldn't see anything regarding location. I also have wakelocks by the name of audiomix and nlp but going through the forum i see a few people have this so maybe its just a kitkat issue or maybe its normal
Just Google for Franco's Per App Mode app and reduce the hardware resources available to dolphin browser.
Ok so since changing the location settings to battery saving its finally back to normal although i cant figure out how to completely deny the browser location
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
I have the fku app with per app but tbh i dont want to underclock the browser as the faster the better but it would be pretty cool to disable mpdecision and use intelliplug only on dolphin, dont think this is possible though

No I'm on Cataclysm rom and it's built into the menu on it. But my missus uses one of the app ops apps from the play store on cm11 (4.4.2) on her phone. I can let you know later when she's home if you want. But I assume any should work
Edit - trickster mod (free) has it built in and it definitely works

I've got trickster mod free but just went through it all and no option for app ops
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
Npl wakelock is a common one caused by having your location on high accuracy, or a rouge app that's playing up such as the browser could be scanning for your location every 10 seconds etc, thus creating a partial wakelock, audiomix sounds like something to do with audio output
Sent from my GT-P5110 using xda app-developers app
I turned off location on chrome and dolphin using app ops root and the nlp wakelock doesn't seem to be on as much now, one thing though since turning off location access on dolphin it seems to be using more power than the screen again whats up with that?

Your right. On the N5 it doesn't show as an option! Weird! Just try another from the play store?

Have you got any sync settings switched on in the browser that may be causing battery drain? Thats all I can think of would cause the browser to use more than the screen.
