OK so I was using root cleaner on my n4 with PA 3.98 and Francos 1.96 and after a clean idk if it even had to do with that but my vibration for like my locks Creek just stopped and idk.. Is it a setting that got altered that I'm not changing back or something else? Does anyone know?

Did you check your settings. You may have just turned them off?

Hi there Xda, so today out of nowhere I got a notification but the sound was on when I never turned it on. So I ignored it the first time but it happened again. I turned sound on and off and no luck. I rebooted, same problem. The sound says silent for like an hour or so, and I randomly get a notification with sound on and it says its on? I don't wanna have to keep turning it on and off... any help? By the way I have a Samsung Galaxy Player 4.2 with a rooted stock ROM and stock kernel.

Again, bump

Try grabbing an audio manager and see if it's really been silenced!
Or is it from a particular app? Try it in its settings.
And BTW, making you familiar with the rule, you aren't supposed to be bumping thread before 24 hours from the previous one.
LIFE! Enjoy it while you Still have it!
Hi, thanks for the help! I actually just re-flashed the ROM and kernel and it's working fine. And sorry, I didn't know

Well I flashed Franco kernel tonight and it gave me a different vibration.. And now the vibrator is pretty strong now... Is this a normal thing for flashing new kernals?

Yeah I noticed that too, there is a setting if you download the Franco app from the play store, turn the vibration down to 70%.
Oh thank yesus I thought I did something wrong! Hopefully Franco will save my battery -.-

Wait.. Is it the paid version with the vibration settings?

I use the paid version since I've used this kernel on my Nexus 7. I would think it would also be in the free one though.
Franco increased the strength of the vibration in his kernel from the stock of 65 to 100.
Just a few days ago the program wakes lock detector stopped showing the time correctly (see attached picture to understand)
Does anyone know what the problem is?

A time vortex in the clock chip looks like to me
Thanks for the fast reply.
How do I fix that?

In all seriousness, I'm not sure what time we're supposed to looking at to help. I see some wake locks happening for a few seconds.
I guess I didn't explain myself well... It's a picture of my phone off charging for a few hours.... But if you look at the line above it says statistics 0s (even though the statistics themselves have some seconds) and the detailed statistics are totally off - Google calendar had 24 wake locks for 2 sec while Tasker is over 1000 but under 1 second... All my setting are constantly skewed and totally off...

Is it a one time event or did this ashtrays happen. I use betterbatterystats and I have seen something similar, but it's always a time event and goes away next time i boot or plug the charger in.
It's been like this for almost a week. I've rebooted multiple times and deleted cache.

Sorry about the spell correction, lol. Damn ashtrays. I guess the only thing I would suggest would be to uninstall and then reinstall the app. I would have suggested clearing the cache but you're already done that.
Here's a screenshot of betterbatterystats with a few minutes of usage... It's totally empty and it definitely shouldn't be...

Sorry sent the wrong thing... Give it time we'll see how that program fairs

Hmm, both are for 4.4 KitKat? 4.4 made it more difficult to get the statistics and bbs wasn't working for awhile. The new version does work. Maybe Rom related?
It's neither... I've had this ROM for 2 weeks now without any real changes and it just stopped randomly...

There must be something wrong with the phone or corrupt on the ROM... better battery stats is only showing one wake lock (nlpwakelock)... Grrr

Thanks for all the help... In the end it's a ROM problem that a module in xposed can fix (except I'm on ART so I'm screwed).
Thanks for the help guys!

Thanks for the update
This just happened. Not too sure why or how it happened, but I exited the xda app and suddenly what is in the picture below is what is on my screen. Changing the wallpaper does nothing and a reboot doesn't either. I'm completely stock, rooted... Any insight?

Its should come off, happen to me once. Shut down the phone completely

The XDA app has a bad transition that looks just like that, but it goes away quickly. It looks like yours got stuck, which is something I've never seen. That's weird a reboot doesn't fix it. As much as it sucks, you may want to try clearing data in the Google Search app.
Just cleared the cache. Seems to have fixed it

I've looked all over XDA and the internet and got some solutions and didn't really work so I've decided instead of trying to fix my problems, I should understand it first.
Any idea what is happening here and why?

Set location mode to Device only in Android settings.
Why is it happening? The device keeps waking up to refresh it's location.
Really? Wow. Thanks for the info. I'll try it out and see what happens
