Asus Day Scene 2.2.2 - Galaxy Note 10.1 Themes and Apps

Hello,
I'm failing to install Asus Day Scene 2.2.2 on my Galaxy Note 10.1. Please help. it simple says "Application not installed"

Where did you find that app?. Installing it, supposed it is an .apk file:use a file explorer like Solid Explorer, go to system/app. Solid Explorer will give permissions for you. Just copy and paste. Reboot and try if it works

Thanks. I already have that one. It works well, but it's version 2.01, I want the latest version of the live wallpaper.

Not exactly related...but adb still works the best...for me
Super manager in the market, wen you DL, you have to go to super manag. Options and check root otherwise its just a file explorer

EStrong's File Explorer has a root option too, but the last time I tried using ES, it would only ever work once. If I rebooted or exited the app, I'd have to FC it and Wipe Data or else it'd hang up trying to open back up.

Use a file explorer (e.g. Root Explorer or ES). For some incomprehensible reason danalo considers Google Talk bloatware and doesn't keep it installed in his rom. It should be somewhere in the system/apps folder as a .bak file. Just rename it back to the .apk and you should be good to go.
Yep just goto /system/app with Root Explorer (or similar) and rename 'Talk.apk.bak' to 'Talk.apk'. Reboot and it should appear.
I've pulled it out of system and installed it as a user app so I don't have to reinstall every release.

Make sure u click that "mount R/W" button in the folder you're in. If you can't you're not rooted.

You need to select RW instead of RO if using root explorer.

I have changed the permission and pshed the files using adb. I get the message
process com.android.inputmethod.latin has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
I am trying to make it work using htc sensation with ARHD XE ROM 3.6.7
Can anyone help me.
Where did you get the zip file? I am going to try install this version as the latest one in the HyperNoSense Rom keeps just dropping the keyboard VERY frustrating!
Replace it yourself then, it's not that hard.
the .so goes to
/system/libs
the apk goes to
/system/app
I don't know the permission for it and I don't pay attention to it. It just worked for me straight away

I have already tried this but no good. May be I should download file from different location and give it a try. Thanks for your help.
I got it working
I have managed to get it working by downloading the file from different place.
Copied the apk file to /system/app then changed permission and extracted .so file and copied to /system/lib, changed permission and restarted.
I would like to thank all of you who tried to help me. I love this community.

Sorry, guess i should have mentioned how to install.
Just copy the above boot file to the following location: NEEDS ROOT
/system/media
If you have a bootanimation.zip file there I would recommend renaming it to something else, then pasting the above file to that folder, reboot and watch the Apple logo get the golden showers
Thanks!!!
I assume this is HDPI only right? I know a friend that has an Android phone, I don't know if he rooted it, but if he did, I'll recommend him this.

sorry please forgive the n00biness of this post but how do you get to /system/media ? i assume you can't do it with the standard "connect to usb" then searching the device on your computer? I DO have root...
thanks
If your using a file manager app like astro file manager of root explorer. Open that and scroll down past the SDcard folder and below that you should see the folder "System". Select that then scroll down to Media. Select that and paste the boot animation to that folder.

I have never personally tried to make a boot animation myself. You can do a google search "how to create android bootanimation" that should give you some sites that can give you insight on how to create your own bootnaimation file. The 3D android urinating a friend sent me that one and I dont know if he made or found it.
My xperia is rooted but it will mot let me paste in the the systm/media folder.

If you are using Root Explorer did you select the "Mounted as r/w, r/o"?
You might have to select the grey box up top that says mount r/w and press it until it says Mount R/O, then it will let you paste. Try that and see if that helps.
usiing astro , when i try and copy it into system/media i get this message
copy error java.iofilenotfoundexcepion./system/media/apple/destroy-edify.zip*(read onlyfile system)
its getting on my nerves now

I have never used Astro, try ES file mananger. Are you rooted? You have to be rooted to paste the bootanimation to the folder.

Or even better, use File Expert
If your phone is rooted "Root explorer" is the best file manager app I have ever used. It has a text editor/viewer(for xmls and build.prop) and it organizes files you zip or unzip nicely into folders. It isnt free though. Oh and most importantly it allows you to change permissions when dealing with system apps/files like the bootanimation.zip in system/media.
Edit** thought it over & I dont remember if you have to change permissions for bootanimation, but I did.
Ios suckkss.

Installing Camera APK as a System App

Hello,
I am pretty new to all this stuff but I am running Virtuous Quattro RC4 on my Desire S and in the Development thread someone recommended installaing the camera from Miui ICS.
I have the APK for the camera but I am stumped when it comes to the actual process of installing as a system app.
Can someone give me or point me in the direction of a simple, step by step guide to acheiving this please?
Thanks guys,
Andy.

I keep getting "cannot paste system is read only"...............
How do it resolve this?
Use root explorer, copy file, navigate to destiny, switch to r/w on top of the screen, paste.
Enjoy.

use translator for destiny. It's the folder where you want to put your things. Your aim, your goal, destination folder.
In your case the destiny folder is like I said /system/apps/

Ok, thanks, I have done this but when I press the r/w button, nothing happens.
Well... You should get a message in top left corner, that it's mounted as r/w. That allows You to overwrite files.
Nope, doesn't happen....
Other issues are that Root Checker Basic says not rooted but Titanium Backup says I am rooted????? also Busybox keeps getting denied by Superuser.......
Any ideas what's going on here?
Ok I re-installed the VQRC4 and I now have R/W via Root Explorer, however another problem has arisen.....
Whenever I try to paste the APK into the App folder I get an error message saying that there isn't enough room to paste the file...........
