The xda app seems to be not maintained anymore (look at the date of the last update). At least if you use the free version
Maybe use tapatalk instead?

Hii..do you want to turn on notifications just like iphone does..then this is for you..
After long search i found an app called "NOTIFIERPRO" which enables the notofications for almost every single app in your phone you want...
Notifierpro-make sure no space between notifier and pro..in google play search...
NOTE--I dont have any legal rights for the app..i dont own the app..just sharing the app with you all..becoz in my previous for where all members said there is no such thing to enable in android now here it..
Cheers

Sorry this does not enable "push" but jazzes up your standard notification.

I think you don't have a really clear idea of what "push" notifications means.
Ofcourse i do...its just amistake not to mention clearly...

!
I've had this, but it was draining too much battery!
though it's really good looking and the clock in the screenshot is awesome!
This seems to only dress up current notifications. It doesn't provide push (in any way) and it doesn't create notifications for apps that don't have them. It simply alters the appearance/presentation.
Real iPhone pop up notifications...
If you guys want Push Notifications like on iPhone you should try iPhone Notifications app, The only con with the free version is you don't get a preview of the message unless you buy the full version.. I repeat you only get the pop up notification and not a preview of the message unless you buy the full version... Here is the link

Itt : folks who throw around the word "push notification"
Its a popup notification app. It is NOT a push notification app

This is just a skin for your standard Android notifications. Looks nice but has NOTHING to do with push and it also doesnt create any new notifications your app doesnt already makes.

Hi,
I have an issue with the xda developers app. I receive a notification for a topic I'm subscribed to on my Android device (i9505) but when I touch the notification link, the xda app opens but sits in a state of limbo and doesn't open the link to the topic... Is this a known issue?

Its a known issue alright. That's one reason why I switched to Tapatalk.

Is there a messaging app the would give a real time alert (stated "typing") when in text conversation to notify you that the other person is responding to your message. Any help or thought and ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Yeah but that's an app where both parties need to have that installed where I am looking for more of an sms app. How does that app even work and forgive my silly questions
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
Hmm, idk if the facebook messenger app does that, u can use it to text people and both parties don't need it
Sent from my SCH-1535 using Tapatalk 4
I use whatsapp and it does that. Possibly one of the best messaging apps there is. Both parties need it, and it is a dollar, but you can use wifi and it is rock solid stable. One of the best purchases I've made in the play store.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
yeah you are only going to get that functionality when both parties are using the same app. And it would have to be a messenger/chat type app not a strictly sms/mms type app
Hi there, can anyone teach me how to not have that kinda notification? I wanna do without it but can't seem to find how to shut it off.. its at the top part at status bar..

thats called "heads up notification", i think its default on lollipop...i dont know if it can be disabled...
It totally can be disabled with Lollipop on the Galaxy S5 and is very easily done using the
This is another one of my complaints regarding the S6. I cant seem to turn this setting off!
What you want was easily done with Lollipop on the S5 but again, it seem that this functionality has been removed or is simply not working yet.
Esentially, there is no way to block txt messages from being shown on the unlock screen which is unbelievable.
Aww man.. that's just silly! Yeah its the heads up notification and its irritating the hell outta me..
