Ok so I just tried both these apps on the Nexus 5. Both are EXCELLENT (hard to decide which one to choose). However, I have to say "Settings Extended" is great because as nhatters said, you can "use Settings Extended to add toggles to the notification bar." so it does not take room on the homescreen and seems more like stock experience. I think everyone must try both to decide. Thanks again guys =) And they are both free!!!

You can do that with Power Toggles as well.

I am using power toggles in conjuction with appsi at the moment

Power Toggles is the only one that toggles the GPS properly. Notification Toggles, Widgetsoid and Settings Extended don't.

I currently use widgetsoid, does anyone know if power toggles properly can toggle lte on and off? If so, that plus the GPS fix may be worth the switch.

l gave it shot, and as far as I can tell it can only toggle 4G on sprint...
I did like the battery icon options better, though so I kept it over Widgetsoid, but the functionality of both of them is equal.

Notify toggle is good have a lot of choices

Hmm. I'm on AT&T and, when I toggle the two arrows (first option under Mobile Data, above 2-3-4G toggle), my LTE switches on. I wonder why it's not the same for you.

[APP]Button Backlight Disabler

Finally, good russian developer beshkenadze created widget that disables keypad backlight..
1) Requires root
2) Keypad backlight is enabled back when you suspend and resume Galaxy Tab
3) Works for about 30 sec first time, don't worry.. It will ask for root permissions at that time. After that it works immediately..
Take it from

Awesome, works great!
Turns off backlight okay.

Nice find
Works great
Now if.someone could just find a way to link it to a button, and make it turn on and off. We would be in buisness. I know it doesnt turn the lights back on yet.
Or, after it is able to turn lights on and off, link it somehow to the touchscreen.

It can turn on lights, and will after some work..But dev is not going to make it react on touchscreen and work with timeout..
Update, now widget contains two buttons - turn on and turn off
It saddens me that the light wont STAY off after locking and unlocking the screen.
Otherwise, it works!

I agree. The widget needs some work, it is rather unattractive as it is right now. I didn't even understand there were 2 sides to the widget until reading this thread.
IMO, it should be more like the Power Control widget. A toggle style button.

Delete widget and add again.. That's bug in launcher, widget shows as 1x1 after update, but it is 2x1 now.. And shows two normal icons..
Ah, I see. I would still prefer a 1x1 toggle style widget. Eating up 2 home screen icon spaces for something like this is a bit much.
Ugh, new widgets are ugly. Takes up.way too much space.

I'd really love this as well, it's the main thing I miss from CM while I am using official ICS.
Widgetsoid or extended controls gives you pretty much the same functionality, available on stock ROM (as long as you're on ICS).

Correct, you can do this with Elixir2. Launch Elixir2 then hit Status Bar and everything is in there. App launcher, battery temp, CPU load, etc.
Bump.
I'm looking for a power control widget too.
The only two things i really nead are:
1. A working mobile data switch
2. A working GPS switch (which directly turns on and off GPS, without redirecting to the settings page)
Buttons in the scroll-down notification menu would be nice too (but not necessary), even better if they'd work without showing the pop-up widget bar.
I've used widgetsoid for a while but the gps toggle doesn't seem to work (anymore? lol, i can't remember whether it has worked before or not)

Pretty sure there is nothing out there that does this nicely. You could probably get everything working perfectly, aside from gps toggling. Custom ROMs of course have this ability (and more), but you are probably better off just keeping the GPS on all the time.
It is not powered unless an application requests for it, and when it does you can see the symbol in the status bar. It is certainly not a risk of battery drain so long as you don't use maps or something for prolonged periods while indoors or something.

Try notification toggle, it needs to be installed as a system app to directly toggle GPS though(same with all apps)

[MOD] how to get the galaxy nexus navigation bar on cm10

I did a little hunting for this mod and to enable it you must goto the /system/build.prop file to enable it
Mount it as r/w if you have root explorer
Enter this text in the build prop file
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
Save and exit
Reboot and enjoy

That option doesn't exist in regular CM10 for the Infuse. I know Paranoid Android does have that setting though.

Open up the file labled "build prop". Make sure you have root priveledges, and add this text to the bottom of the file:
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
Save the file, and restart your phone. You will now have the new dock bar.
This worked on my Sprint S3 running the latest cm10. However, I had to go to Developer Options and check "Disable HW overlays" to keep the screen from flickering.
