Sorry for the noob question, but on my old phone I could hold the camera button down and it would take multiple pics. I can't seem to get this phone to do that, is it not an option?

i thought this phone was suppose to be able to take 99 photos in a row with holding down the camera button? i noticed mine always stops at 20 pics in a row and wont go passed that. i just thought i heard u were able to take up to 99 pictures in a row with that burst mode on this phone's camera. its not like i would ever go up to 99 photos in a row lol but i was just wondering
In Camera, click Option, go in Continuous Mode, remove the 20 pictures limit.

Briefly hold down the Home + Power buttons. It'll snap a photo and be placed into the Gallery.

Have to hold them longer than you used to though...

i guess you have to hold down the buttons longer than on GB which is weird..
thanks!
I pulled down my notifications and I saw a notification looking like a native Android one but it said screen recording with a phone as an icon.
Didn't know the phone or rom (cataclysm) had that feature. I pressed the button under the notification and it seemed to record till I rapidly pressed the stop recording button. I now have a 5 sec mp4.
I don't read much and I have no idea how screen recording feature got into my notification pull down.
Any ideas?

I can't do no such thing with volume up and power. My screenshot shortcut works tho.

That's a no go for me, too.
OK I got it to work. I don't know why the shortcut can be on/off like that. Thanks

Am I an idiot or is the only way to record a video is turning off the screen and then holding it landscape and hitting volume?
Whenever I hit the camera app while it is unlocked, it only gives me camera and selfie options. I can't find any video recorder shortcut.
This is on the latest firmware (after the OTA).
If you open the camera app. Tap the button in the lower right, you should see a page with options, one of which is video

There's no button in the lower right.
The button on the lower left only gives me selfie and camera.

That's not looking right to me. I've got a series of options on my camera that aren't showing there. Anything non stock in your ROM??

I just got the phone today and haven't done anything.
Back to the store I think, probably something wrong with the phone software, but if you haven't altered anything, they should just exchange it.

I figured out the problem.
It's cause I changed to the Google Now Launcher.
Can't believe the camera relies on BlinkFeed...
Is there any way to get around this? Or any other launchers that don't do this?
I'm using apex launcher, with a shortcut to activate blinkfeed, like it a lot, no issues with the camera or anything else that I've found. Glad you got it working.

Anybody know how to take pictures without the phones screen on , maybe by pressing the volume up and down bottoms simultaneously ? I can't seem to find an app that will do it?

It's definitely possible, but I bet will cause HUGE battery drain.
