[RESOLVED] [Q] Bloat removal script in flashable zip format for AOSP ROM's? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Anyone have a link to a flashable zip that removes bloatware, that will work in 4.3 AOSP ROM's?
I can't seem to get my old one to work anymore. Maybe because it was for 4.1?

JUst use Titanium backup and freeze any apps you don;t want to use. Really not worth the effort. Unused app really don;t bother anything.

Ehh, freezing or uninstalling apps via Titanium takes a LOT longer than just flashing a removal zip. Especially when you're uninstalling about 20-30 apks like I do.
I flash a lot, and not just my phone but my friends as well.
So this method saves me a lot of time:
1) Flash ROM
2) Flash Gapps
3) Flash Bloatkiller
4) Reboot
5) Flash Titanium Backup batch zip of all apps/data
Anyways, I don't need a bloat zip anymore. I couldn't get my old script to work, so I just added all my delete lines to an existing Gapps zip. Which removes step #3 above.
So it flashes my Gapps and removes bloat, all in one zip. Should have just done it this way to begin with! :good:
And OMG I save sooooo much time & frustration by doing things this way.
Now if I can just figure out how to get the TB batch zip to flash immediately after flashing the ROM, then I can use TWRP queue flash to flash all three zips back-to-back with just one swipe.

So I just flashed a rom and I had done a TiBU user and system data backup. BUT, i didnt do it properly so now i cant flash it in recovery. I had a lot of stuff and a lot of paid and customizable apps in there. Im still very new to all of this. I know there has to be a way to retrieve, zip, flash, im happy. I have copies of the BU on my extSD and computer if that matters. Thanks in advanced for any help.
My only answer would be to re-install everything from play store then do it the proper way.?.?.?.?
I just flashed LiquidSmooth

If you put the backup file on external sd you have to point Tibu at it in preferences or move to internal sd.
You can make a flashable zip of your TiBu backups???

[Q] custom gapps with purchased apps

i want to make a custom gapps.zip with purchased apps. its only for my own phone (same google-acount). i dont want to reinstall all apps, it needs to many time.
how can i extract/porting purchased apps from my phone for a custom gapp-zip?
i only know, i can use an original gapp-zip but cant rezip it, have to open it with winrar and drag`n`drop it... right?
i want to do this because i want to be the maintainer of the HTC One X (endearovu) and dont have a second one... not enough money... but next month i buy a second
its NOT for ilegal use!!!
You can make a new one for your system and user apps. If you know anything about using adb you can manually make flashable zips of your apps and read how to use adb from here.
http://varunbpatil.github.io/2013/03/02/apps-zip/
If you want to use an app to automatically do it you can try ZipMe app from the Google Play Store. I don't know how good it is. I use titanium backup most times. Test it on one app first. ZipMe has worked on my phone.
Make a zip of apps or data or apps + data and then copy it to sd card or to a usb storage then you can flash it using a custom recovery or some other way. Titanium Backup Pro can do it but it's the paid version that has the extra things like making zips.
You can make a nandroid backup then use the nandroid manager app to extract apps and data from the nandroid backup.
I would wipe cache and dalvik cache when flashing any zips before restarting or while in recovery before starting

Go to Menu, Batch Actions.
In Recovery spot create an update.zip
Select the apps you want and name the zip.
Don't select exclude system APKs
Check sign with Zip file (with zipsigner)
It goes into sdcard folder then you can flash the file when you want to.

@cyrok
It is courier or haze font.
I can't get it to let me install the courier, and app force closes if i try to install that one. I can't install that font again to see which of the two it is. It is one of those from the app Font Installer root.
thats great ^^ i found the deathnote font!!! thx ^^

The font looks a little different on one deathnote than the tablet ? I use CloudyG3 rom , dorimamx kernel and twrp recovery. I like to switch between different roms and try different ones so i have ways to backup and restore everything to new one.

thats a great thing to switch but i am more PAC rom specific link
jyes if you see the fine deathnote font on a 10" screen with 1280x800 where the fine lines betwen the pixels goes lost and see the font (theoretical... dont works ) on a 720p screen with 4,7" that can show the fine lines...
however it feels stupid to use an tablet with a lower resolution than my phone...

Possible to create a flashable of apps+data for new ROM install?

Is it possible to create a simple flashable zip of all my apps and app data so when I install a new ROM all I have to do is flash the zip to have all my apps and data back?

I don't know if it works with Lollipop, but that feature has been in TiBu forever. With the Pro version, it does it all at once, with the free version you have to tap OK to restore each app. If you want to see how it's done, I did a screencast in the MOAR FAQ.

Thanks brotha, found it for anyone else that this would be useful for!
Be sure to thank RAMER!
EDIT: Confused a bit at the end... after clean install, we wait for the initial boot/set-up and then flash the update zip?

WinRar. Ask the dev if you may edit the rom. You can easily add, remove or switch the integrated APKs, sounds and so on.

i know i can delete the apk's from the ROM directly, but i can say if the installer detect they are missed up and abort the instalation or brick the phone! Im a noob in that point, my idea was edit a ROM to everytime i need to flash it doesnt have to do all the same things like delete apks via root explorer and etc!

Deleting any files from a ROM is not recommended but if you know what you are doing, it's fine.
Also you could also flash a Clean Rom without all the useless APK's and when flashing gapps the smallest one with only the core and playstore.

LOL, yes i CAN read and i DO so. We talked about you can delete any unwanted apks from the zip as long as they are not relevant for the system. Works on roms and on gapps packages.
And I wrote that for me its easier to perform a batch uninstall with Titanium backup (takes about 1 minute) after flashing the rom as deleting the apks manually by editing the rom.zip as I flash my phone nearly every day.
LOL

Edit TWRP Backup (nandroid)

I was looking for a way to edit a TWRP backup. Basically doing a debloat on it. To where it would just contain my apps and data I installed not all the samsung apps and all the other stuff that does not need to be backed up. I have seen where you can unpack the backup on a computer but I would not know what would be safe to delete. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks

Why not run it and debloat? I have a zip file that will strip it down
You have a program that will debloat a TWRP backup? I am trying to make the size of the TWRP smaller and take out the junk. I know I can wipe the phone and install a new rom then use TiBu to just install the apps and data I want but seems silly to have a 3.5GB file siting on my phone when I only need 500-600MB of it.
Edit: Are you talking about Galaxy Cleaner.zip?

Yea but that doesn't reduce the size of my backup sitting on my phone.

Well the backup is the same as whatever you're running. The system it self is huge. Same stuff you pull from a nandroid is the same stuff you're running so decide what you don't want and roll with that. I've opened the tar file and pulled the system. Best thing you can do is zip your backup if you need space
If I want to pay some one to make this program for me where would you suggest I ask. I think it would be a great thing for users with small amounts of storage space.

Thats your problem. You can pretty much cut the size in half without editing anything. Backup up and restore time is a little more but not significant. Try it out you can save a lot of space

I have tried but for the number of times I flash a day I would rather deal with the size than time. I am scared to see what my flash counter is on my phone.

Lol Gotcha...... I only see maybe an extra 5 mins when flashing a large backup. I have your ROM backed up for a quick boot for Android pay because it seems to work on your rom, thanks BTW for how light it is. So I can flash back and forth pretty quickly.

Thanks. Glad you like it. Yea Android pay works for me too, I was happy about that. I think it looks at some framework files as well as root. I have another ROM in the works it's and odexed and even faster than my current ROM. Still having problems to get it to Flash in TWRP by a zip though. It's an OI1 Rom and they changed something that I have not figured out yet.
I carry 3 ROM's on my phone Wicked 3.1 super debloat, Wicked Ram hybrid, and OI1 Super Odex.

Disable md5 when you make the backup as it will not work if you edit it. Then use copy to combine the files then edit with 7zip.
