Okay, so I am on ICS and read several articles on firefox on my atrix 2. I was wondering if I can get text to speech on firefox (not Talkback because that enables TTS to everything which I dont want)

Does anyone have any recommendations for a FREE text to speech app?
I currently have eSpeak, which Google Translate pointed me to, and it sounds horrid. It sounds even worse on the Navigation app (turn by turn directions).
Thanks.
Text to Speech - Voice Reconition
I just hope that one of these days we will be able to get voice reconition on our phones (Android) without the requirement and need to be connected to internet/wifi etc.......
I've searched the market and this forum fairly extensively. I'm looking for a hands free app that reads google voice sms. Is there a reason no one does this?
As for Google Voice text message alerts, the new version of the Google Voice app has a feature in the settings under 'sync and notifications' for 'receive text messages' which when I set it to 'also via messaging app' which makes the received Google Voice text messages work with the third party apps that I have installed which are SMS Popup and Tasker. So, I have Tasker speaking out load the text message if it is from certain contacts. Seems like the Google Voice app now has native integration using this setting.
Verizon must be weird, because if I check that setting, I get charged for each text coming in through google voice.
Hi, guys. I'm running stock ICS 4.0.3 and I have a very strange problem.
When I use a program that has Cyrillic characters everything works OK, until it tries to download some information from the internet (also in Cyrillic). For example, I use a program to find restaurants - everything is OK with cyrillic text in the program (names of the restaurant, address etc), but when I try to read a review (it loads directly in the app) which is downloaded from the internet the cyrillic text is not decoded properly. I tried changing the Text encoding in the Browser, but there were limited options there (only Unicode, Japanese and Chinese).
Is there a way to fix this? Thanks in advance.
