Nexus 5 sound question. - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

OK so I came from a Samsung S3, and the sound when plugged into an aux jack on the S3 was/is much louder than on this nexus 5. Same goes for headphones. Is there any way to turn it up? Is there some equalizer app I can download to make the sound output louder?

Headset volume increase

Coming from the htc inspire I remember all the kernels had audio boost included. The right now the voodoo amp does a good job increasing music volume through my headphones, but I want to increase call volume through my headphones. Call volume seems to be very low. The currently running:
Infused 2.1.0
Infusion 1.1 kernel

Try listening to quieter music
Not really a helpful answer though, perhaps try another headset.
Hahaha... My work environment is about 95 dbs. I have a nice pair of klipsch earbuds and music is load and clear. But phone number all volume is too low.

[Q] Does your Nexus 5 play audio through one speaker?

Hi guys,
I realised this morning that the nexus 5 only plays audio through one of the two speakers on the bottom of the phone. The bottom left is used for audio and bottom right is redundant. I cannot spot the microphone anywhere so maybe the bottom right speaker is a microphone?
Can anybody clarify this or is my phone faulty?

You answered your own question...one is the mic, the other is the speaker...similar to the iPhone

Dood's Music Streamer

Anyone use this app with their N5? O can't get any song to buffer and play.
On my HTC One (4.3) works flawlessly.
Any help appreciated.

I'm an idiot. Found out prob is in setting need to go to song not playing and switch to V2.
On a side note i use Monster DNA over ear head phones. The HTC One is 2X louder than the N5. But for casual listening is just fine.
May need external amp for using with loud speakers. Not sure.
