Hey all, after searching here and on google play without finding anything I dediced to ask you guys!
I can't find an app that activates my Flash LED which is next to the camera of my Ace, or, being more precise, I've used Tiny Flashlight and it works but it has TOO MANY USELESS permissions!
I installed many apps which have only flash permission or have no permission, but they just don't work, it says that flash is ON but actually it's OFF.
So any of you who sometimes uses smartphone as a Torch could suggest me a good working app? The security aspect of Android is very understimated and it seems that no one cares about permissions.
(I already posted this thread in the Ace section but it seems that no one knows the answer, so that topic could be closed in order to not creating duplicates).
Hi
I use TeslaLED - works great.
Only permissions are 'Control LED' and 'Prevent phone from sleeping'.
Besides that, it has a customizeable widget, and are nice and simple (which i like of this type of app )
Don't know why but it doesn't work for me. Tried all settings possible.
In 'Settings -> Advanced -> LED Method' there is a few options if it doesn't work by standard. Have you tried the different options? Mine worked on 'Auto' (default).

Of course, I tried all of them, sometimes it force closes and sometimes nothing happens..
Hmm then i don't know how to fix it.
Don't know that Ace, and thus don't know if there should be any specific issues with that phone...

Try the "torch" application. I think it's listed as "Nexus Torch" in google play, it might work for your phone. It has permission requirements other than just accessing the camera light.

You can download permission remover app from play store developed by steelworks and remove unwanted permissions from your favourite flashlight app.

Are you sure any permissions app other than Xprivacy does the job ???
Is there any similar app to cinematography lense on Windows Phone? Please suggest?
More camera application which can take different type of video and photos? Thanks to all
Unfortunately limited knowledge on Apps for camera but what I did was go with proven camera and its abilities and downloaded Oppo camera apk and plugins and works flawlessly and easy to use, it gives professional like abilities to user and gives 50mp superpower to the oneplus one and 4k video as well, download apk and install like an app then the plugins same way install like an app then select and use, remember to follow instructions and you be fine , for some reason can't post link on here (spam concerns) but search for Oppo camera/ plugins apk for Oneplus One and look for site that you feel most comfortable with xda is a great place to start . Good Luck

I noticed today that while using the Messenger app from Google I cannot attach a photo by clicking the Attach>Photos button. I can attach files from other online services (e.g. OneDrive) but since I normally use Photos I'd like to be able to do it from there. I can still send it from within the Photos app, but this is annoying, and while I was running stock ROM I'm fairly sure I could do this. Any suggestions?
P.S. Also I'd like to remove the Gallery app that seems to come bundled with either Chroma or GApps; it's useless to me and interferes with my other apps. There's no option to do so, however, and I can't find the files. Any ideas?
After upgrading, if I try to share a photo from the photo gallery it crashes and doesn't work. I can share from a 3rd party app but not the inbuilt one. "Android system keeps stoppig"

Anyone else?
OK, problem solved. I had Samsung Smart Suggestions disabled. I guess this is needed for some reason. Wasn't an issue before the software upgrade though.
Greetings all! Is there a way to control the camera zoom on the phone through the original GW4 camera remote app? So far I have found no way. Maybe a modded app? I don't want to switch to another app, Camera One for example, I want to use the Samsung camera app on the phone. Any help would be appreciated!
Does not look like there is a way. It was intended for you to setup your camera and then take a picture with you in it, so functionality would be limited.
Where do I find this camera remote app?
It came on my watch. It is a system app called Camera Controller.
