Anyone playing madden 25 out there?
New to the tf700 but I flashed Cromi-X and seems pretty fast but madden is painfully lagging at the start of each play. Runs in slow motion. Could be a slow connection but does that even make sense.
Would love to get some feedback from other users.
Yes I am in performance mode.

Yea I have been experiencing the same here and its really Laggy. Nothing u can do, to my knowledge, that works. Some games work really well and others lag like hell... must be an optimization issue

how is that possible that my htc sensation runs it faster?????????

Have you guys tried Huns latest kernel? Also, are you using performance mode?

Probably resolution.

I've been trying a lot of things since I am new to this tablet and wanted to report what's worked well to get this game going.
First CROMi-X with hunds OC kernel helps a lot. The stutter is a lot less but still noticeable.
What works well to get the speed and FPS to a good level is to use the Cromi tools and change the resolution to the TF300 (1280x800). I don't even re-boot just make the change and then load the madden game. When I'm finished I change it back. No need to reboot.
Not elegant but it does make the game playable. Now if they could only dump the on-line BS.
Thanks for all of the suggestions.

Hi guys, I am getting some horrible benchmarking scores using Antutu and Quadrant. I noticed that the scores on Quadrant are much lower when I have my SDcard inserted but generally low. The tablet doesn't feel slow but of course I don't know how it should feel. I do know its faster than my old galaxy tab 8.9.
The first Quadrant score is with my SDcard inserted, its a 64GB UHS-1 Sandisk
The second quadrant score is with the card out definitely an improvement. Both tests were run on performance mode.
The antutu score was pretty much between 5k and 7k shouldn't I be around 12k?.
I have tried many many cold boots. Anyone have any ideas or did I get stuck with a lemon? I honestly didn't run any benchmarks before installing today's update. Please help!!!
EDIT: : Solved - Apparently enabling force 2d gpu rendering in dev options causes a HUGE hit on system performance outside of 3d applications.

I'm getting around 4500 in quadrant, 12k in antutu
thanks for responding. Yea, I just played a level in dead trigger, it ran pretty good. There wasn't any noticeable lag. After wards my tablet was kinda warm around 90F on the battery. I immedately ran Quadrant and my SDcards were in. I got a score of 2200

Yea, am doing that now
So, I was backing up files when I thought to try something. I had Force 2D GPU rendering turned on under developer's options because it helped with netflix rendering as it was crawling along. I turned force gpu rendering off and ran the tests again. This time I got an antutu score I could actually be proud of And hopefully I won't have to do a wipe. If you have a second, would you be able to test this?

I got a Antutu score of 13k. Yup... I'm a proud owner ....
yes scores are terrible with that option on
ya. i just double checked too. It seems like that option gives a huge hit on system performance with no real gain. Netflix is running a little slower with it off but its not worth the hit on performance. Thanks for the help.

Glad it's not the issue after all. So you can put SOLVED or something in the subject/post 1 now, I believe

Force rendering through GPU instead of CPU in older apps that don't have this function implemented.
Just upgraded to jellybean on my tf300 but now when I try to install ezoverclock it freezes and reboots. Is there a workaround or an updated apk? I hope the dev is working on something, jellybean is nice and snappy and my i/o scores doubled but my games are slower and my antutu score droped over 2000 points! I cant believe one one has posted anything about this yet, how am I the first one?
it has been posted several times in a lot of the jb threads ezoverclock causes bootloops
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using Tapatalk 2
Sorry I mean that there was no specific topic about ezoverclock not working anymore .They have mentioned it as a problem after the update but no one has really talked about it not working and fixing it. And I'm freaking out cause I pretty much live on this thing and use ezoverclock constantly, keeps my emulators and video converter running fast.

I guess the best option is to post on the original ezoverclock thread.

Hi TF300T owners, I just wanted to know if someone did a comparison for the performance is there any real improvement ? What about apps side ? Shifting between screens and lags ? We want video showing that I searched YouTube but nothing there !!!
I'm TF700 owner but I'm really interesting about the TF300 JB update since I feel my device is not stable nether not faster than Nexus 7

Well, i did have a little play around with a nexus 7 in a store. I don't own it but it did feel much smoother.

I just did a lil video install and quick overview of the one JB ROM available for the tf300.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHkQkAsyAiY&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Its JB HyDRO ROM. Much faster and smoother than stock JB.

Hey, this looks very fast room with snappy and very smooth performance, I wish we can get same for TF700

I know I might get flamed for this, but I don't feel like ROMing. With that in mind, are there tweaks that I can do to make my TF700 run any faster?
Thanks

With pure stock, no root and locked bootloader - enable force 2gpu in settings ->developer option. ...That about it!
With pure stock rooted and locked bootloader - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1758160 , and install browser2ram for smooth browsing.
But the true performance, with smooth, fast and snappy - unlocked and rooted with Cleanrom, Clemsync kernel and data2sd. It's like driving a race car versus a ford Pinto.
Ok so I'm a bit new to the community in terms of tablet hardware and wanted to understand the concept of overclocking now from what I've heard the Asus tf300t has the capability to be increased to 1.5ghz it's stock is 1.3 I believe so my question is:
what are the basic benefits of overclocking.
How do you go about doing it? (app, or what not)
What damages can be done if done incorrectly. (boot loop or brick)
If this isn't the right place to post this direct me to someplace better please! Thank you!

You'll need to flash another Kernal. There are various guides on this forum depending on what firmware you're on
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda app-developers app
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
Benefit is basically making your tablet faster and smother under heavy tasks such as gaming. Light tasks wont be affected much.
In order to over clock, you need custom kernel and a software that allows you to over clock or under clock. My favorite is set CPU which is paid ( there are tons of CPU app)
If you over clock too much, tablet will become very unstable and also CPU can overheat much easier which can lead to hardware failure. I recommend you to overclock up to 1.6 max if you ever gonna over clock.

bottom line yes. its a night and day difference on this device. at least mine.

I second this when playing games. I do also see a very slight difference in normal day to day use. Just dont overvolt, that i heard is bad for the chip and greatly shortens the length of the chip. Overclocking isnt as bad for it.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using Tapatalk 2
Ah ok so you do need a custom kernel/rom in order to gain access to overclocking. Well I've had problems before with flashing custom roms(soft bricked) and I'm kinda hesitant about it but I mean I've ran emulation on 1.3ghz and it runs smooth like for epsxe. I guess it's a matter of preference really?
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda app-developers app
I think that it is worth to unlock if you use a 1tb hard disk. It is more useful to overlock GPU as it will boost your perfomance in UI and games.

Overclock improved my tablet experience
When I was running cleanrom 3.4.1 and Unters TF300T 10.4.4.25 Kernel I had it O/C'ed to 1.6.
The ui and games like beach buggy blitz , dead trigger ran noticeably smoother .
Now I'm bac on stock android 4.2.1 from Asus website its nowhere near as smooth probably not even as smooth as stock 4.1.2 imo.
ya im on cm10.1 at the moment. over clocked to 1.6ghz currently. i find whether it was clean rom 3.4.4 or cm10.1 1.6ghz seems to be my tablets sweet spot. with my tablet and dock together on cm10.1 i have lasted like 4 days unplugged laying around with daily use for alittle bit. grand theft auto final fantasy dead trigger. all play so smooth.
Tergrak over clock let's you over clock any ROM, you don't need a custom ROM or kernel just root. Its on the play store.

+1 for overclocking. You can run the tablet at the lower speeds to save the battery when just messing around but you have the option to turn it up when needed. I overclock every device I own if possible. :good:
