Hey guys. I'm new to using Google search. When I say OK google and "text John I'm running late", Google now will have it typed for me, but then I have to manually press send. Is there any way to have it send automatically? Kinda like when u say call somebody, if you wait it out it will call automatically. Thanks in advance

Does it exist?
example: use a voice recorder to record a message, then dial a number and be able to play that prerecorded message to a voicemail/answer machine. I tend to stumble alot on my words when i leave live voicemails...very unprofessional ...would be nice if i can record a perfect voicemail and then send it.
Any info would be appreciated thanks!
Or, send voicemails directly without waiting for other party to not answer...

Im not sure about sending voicemails but a smooth way to get to someones voicemail without them answering is
"slydial".
Im not going to post the link im not sure about the forum rules on that but just google it.
the sprint voicemail app can send pre-recorded voicemail messages.
Hey guys i was wondering if anyone could assist me, I keep trying to set up google voice so i can text over wifi with my google number. I link it to my verizon wireless phone number and set up the options so it never uses google voice for voice mail but i can't seem to get the compose option to show up with texts. I made it so it syncs my text messages but nothing works. I cannot use google voice to text one my HTC Rezound or 2nd Gen Nexus 7. Any options to assist?
Honestly Google voice sucks. I use all the time but it lag, and sometimes you get your voice mail late and text late. Maybe it's just me. Just use Facebook messenger for text. It works. Save you an app space.

I was wondering if anyone knows how to change the default in hangouts to stop an attempted text from going automatically to a Hangout rather than SMS.
For example, my gf has hangouts on her tablet, but not on her iPhone. When I go to click her name from the list, it will automatically default to a hangout. Now she won't ever get the hangout because she never used the nexus tablet. But I can't change it to SMS. Is there a way from hangouts to stop automatically "looking up the contact" and deal directly with SMS until its ready for primetime?

Make sure you send as sms instead of hangout. Like say you have John Smith as a contact. You have both his Google+ name and his phone number, when you create new make sure you hit send SMS to john smith. If you have just phone numbers it automatically goes to SMS

Thanks. I started to learn that myself, but is there a way to stop it from automatically happening? Or should I just get used to this new way of SMS until all androids use hangouts as sms?

It won't automatically happen when you create the SMS message it will always go to the SMS number.
I don't think androids will use hangouts specifically because people like me use different apps, I use textra for example because I absolutely hated trying to send pictures in hangouts. You could only send one, it had to be first and it was just not a good experience for me.
If you start typing the person's name in the search box it should come up with their Hangouts contact as well as their phone number. It just seems to prioritize Hangouts.
HI all,
I am trying to send a whastapp message from scratch using android wear. I have done a tasker routine that uses the "get voice" feature to capture my spoken message, and WhatsTasker plugin to push it to a fixed contact.
I have seen apps like WearTasker and Tockle, which can run tasker tasks in your phone by triggering them on your watch.
I was wondering if there is some way to run a similar script but in the watch, i.e. talk to the watch, caputure the text, and maybe send it to the phone and have whatstasker send the message to the contact.
Maybe we could put some effort together to achieve sending voice dictated whatsapps when wanted and not only when replying to an existing message.
You can sign up to test Autowear, this allows you to execute autovoice and therefore Tasker tasks.
Android apps
Actually, I am unable to get your question. What do you want to do?
What I want to do is say to my watch "send whatsapp to contact" and have it listen to my message and send it to the desired contact. Whastapp already allows to reply to a message via Wear, but not send a message from scratch.
I have signed up for AutoWear, but is still in alpha stage. The principle is similar to this http://dkc.dozuki.com/Guide/Touchless+Hangouts/46 but using the watch. Thanks humpie for pointing me to autowear. I am in touch with the dev to see if I can get this working.
Yes, that is right, you can easily do so by using WearTasker and Tockle kinds of applications. If these do not work, there may be some problem in their apps, that need to be fixed.
I managed to do it a while back with autowear, autovoice and whatstasker plugins for tasker. Pretty easy when you have the tools.

Maybe you can try this App https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pacosal.wear.newmessage
Can anyone help me out with this ? I can reply to messages but cant start a conversation!!
I have no idea how to use tasker n assign tasks...
Can anyone help me out ?
Nothing could be better than an app to send (or even to reply) whatsapp VOICE message, not only text message! My dream!
Hey, I don't think you have to use AutoWear or something like that... Just say "Ok Google, Whatsapp to Contact" and then say the message you want to send to him/her, it's working on my moto 360 2015 but i think it's a google now feature

So now today, the solution is ok google.
Aussie user on --> MHA-L29C636B158 here and I've currently got a case going with Huawei for an issue where SMS's sent via Google Voice are not logged to any SMS app. They send successfully but there's no trace of them in Huawei Messaging app or any SMS app.
Have confirmation from another Aus user on same firmware that they have the issue. Wondering if it's a problem on other variants? Can't seem to find the issue mentioned in any posts here on XDA.
Cheers all

To send SMS with GV u either have to use the Google voice app or hangouts. Which one are u using? What do u mean logged? U mean once u hit send it sends but doesn't show in the app?

Yep, the latter. Using Google voice and then voice command "sms contact_name".
Once you've told Google Voice to send the SMS it has indeed been sent successfully but that particular message doesn't exist in any SMS messaging app. Go to Huawei Messaging or any other SMS app such as Android Messages you have installed and the GV sent SMS doesn't exist...
i thought i was the only one
drove me nuts so i uninstalled google now. lol

Thanks virtyx. Did uninstall/re-install fix the issue? What firmware r u on? I send and receive sms's from the car a fair bit with Google voice so it's a bit annoying to have no record of sent sms's done with GV. Apart from this am loving the phone Cheers

I'm on stock c636b172
I didn't reinstall don't really need it.
I just use the voice icon in my messaging app to send it, works that way.

Yep righto. Guess I shouldn't be too excited about B172 possibly fixing the issue then! (which I'm hoping to get OTA soon).
If anyone else can comment on if they've seen this issue (or do a quick sms via GV for me to test it) it'd help me hugely with my case with Huawei which is currently moving at a snails pace... Twice already I thought I'd gotten through level 1 but it seems that's where it's still at...
Cheers
