I'm trying to transfer the SMS msgs from my HTC One to the N5 i just got. I did my usual backup of my SMS msgs as an xml file in Ti Backup and saved on cloud storage. After rooting and installing Ti backup on the N5,ive tried repeatedly to restore the SMS msgs onto the new phone, sometimes they would appear briefly on the SMS client Im using (not using Hangouts for SMS) and then dissappear. Not sure what do to and wondering if its a 4.4 bug.

What are the benefits of it? I have the free version and I don't see why everyone likes it so much, but I'm not very good with technical things, so I can easily be missing something. I want to get it to restore my nandroid backup, but I don't see any other point and I don't really wanna pay for $7 it if that's the only thing I would use it for.

I've been using it for many years. It's the one and the only ultimate backup tool for android.
Is there anyway to backup apps to the SD card? I tired to restore my nandroid backup using titanium backup, but it got stuck at 14%. I assume that's cause I ran out of storage space. Is there anyway to automatically backup the apps to the SD card and not do it one by one?

Hello I have a problem with Facebook Messenger on this phone (never had this problem on any other phone).
Problem is that if I open messenger from the chat heads (overlay), the app is over everything. And by everything I mean absolutely everything (including long press paste option, own messenger settings (I'm unable to change conversation default emoji, because every other messenger screen opens under the chat screen and cannot be accessed), etc.).
If I open it from the app launcher like natural app, it is all fine. Problem is only with the overlay.
Also I have some search bar in messenger, which nobody I know has there.
Anybody with similar problems or is there something wrong with my messenger / phone?
I'm running stock b180, not rooted, not unlocked bootloader.

I have a Xiaomi Max 2.
I recently updated to MIUI 11.0.2 (Global), and since then have noticed several problems.
The most serious is: MIUI Sync (Mi Cloud Backup) doesn't sync my text messages and call history.

So, I'm concerned that if I were to lose my phone, and get another Mi phone, and then recover from my saved backup, I won't get my text and call history back.
My Questions:
Is there a fix for this syncing issue?
I also have something called "Google Backup & Restore" which is enabled. Does this backup all my Android settings (including which apps are installed), or just Google's apps / services.
Is there some way for me to ensure that my text messages and call history are indeed backedup / synced to either Mi's cloud or to Google's cloud?

I have my SMS backup on google drive, but now when I restored it to a new phone, it only contains messages from 2016 and prior. any suggestions? BTW, the call history wasn't restored at all...

1. You’re using the same phone number and Google account that the backup was created on.
2. There's enough memory on your phone to restore the backup.
3. You have Google Play services installed on your phone.
4. Your phone’s battery is fully charged or plugged into a power source.
5. Your phone has a strong and stable internet connection. If restoring using a cellular data network doesn't work, please try Wi-Fi.

I am running Android 9. My phone didn't have space for daily whatsapp backups. So I used to delete the backed-up msgstore crypt db files of whatsapp daily. And I don't have whatsapp backup to google enabled. Now yesterday somewhere in the middle of the night, whatsapp has tried backing up to local storage and since the space wasn't enough, all the chats have been cleared, every message.
The media still exists on my gallery. I had some important messages which I wish to recover.
My phone is rooted and twrp installed.
I wish to know there if is a way to recover the deleted msgstore crypt db file from a few days ago from my phone. Is there a adb way where I can backup the userdata partition to pc and then search that on my pc using a recovery software.
Please let me know any way possible.
