Wifi/data goes offline during a call - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anyone experienced this? It's random though, sometimes I do have the data during a call, but usually I don't. Now I noticed that the wifi is even offline during a call. Wtf?

Yeah, i experienced it today. With my N4 WiFi was on during a call. Data worked if on 3g. On 2g data went off. Anyons knows how to fix that?

Wifi is draining power

Hy
My asus is working fine, but when I let my Wifi on and have my dock attached I lose 10% in 12 hours
Can anyone help me with a few ideas?
Thanks guys

i simply turn off the wifi when im not going to be usung it for a while. it uses a lot of Push data delivery systems so thats why i think it would drain as quick as it does..
thats crazy! I'm having a similar problem, i turn on my screen and it seems to lose power faster than when i don't have it on!!!!
Whatever could my problem be!

My WIFI uses battery power, rather than the power of greyskull, to function.
Any ideas?

You are funny, and I am sorry
It's losing power while I turned it off or better I put it to sleep and it still using lots of power without doing anything
I hope that is a little bit better?

Like I said.. simple solution, disable the wifi. Or change the apps to not Push or to pull for updates over longer time intervals so reduce the ti,e wifi needs to stay connected in the background. when I've just disabled wifi the battery drain is next to nothing.
EDIT: There is also the option to auto-disable wifi when the screen is off in the settings

Ok cool, if you want, let me know how it goes. There's other options as well. They just take more micromanagement/setup

Another wifi bug

So I just noticed another wifi bug. If I leave my house with wifi turned on it never disconnects. I get 20 miles and it still says I'm connected to my home network and the data doesn't work until I turn wifi off. Anyone else experiencing this?

Same problem here!
i just moved the wi-fi, airplane, mobile and blue tooth widgets to one of my screens. at least that way i can be sure of what's off and what's on - assuming they work, of course.

[Q] If I need to toggle Airplane mode on/off to recover signal..

all the time (well, most days) does this indicate a SIM problem or a phone/rom problem? Normally seems to happen when I send a few texts consecutive, I need to toggle airplane mode to recover my signal.
Probably sim.

other people are having this issue too.

I have the same issue, Ive done some research and it seems like its a Android problem that when you loose signal for an extended period of time it wont reconnect to. I am having this issue after switching to T-Mobile and getting poor reception in my home.

Wifi stops working after a while but is still connected home network

Having an issue with the oneplus one where you go to pick it up and start browsing after it has been sitting around a while idling (not sure if the time matters, but it seems like after 1 hourish) and the wifi is still connected, but nothing works that needs data. It acts like it would if you had not internet connection. Toggling the wifi off and on will fix the issue and notifications and emails start pouring in.
I am on stock 38R rooted.
I have the same issue and others do as well. No one has an answer or solution. Supposed to have been reported on JIRA.

Oh that is unfortunate! I just received my OnePlus One yesterday and was having this issue. Was bummed out after finding out the wifi was flakey.
Was this always an issue or just recent with the 33R -> 38R update?
For me it started after the very first update. I just hope its fixed with the next one. I'm on 38r

WiFi disconnect frequently

Hi all.
Didn't change my router or anything like that.
Running on Euphoria ROM 5.1.1
If I'm at work or at home, once the screen is off and after couple of minutes, the WiFi will disconnect.
When I wake the phone up, it will reconnect.
Any idea why and how to fix it?
It wasn't like this before.
Thanks.
