Is it possible to controll the access of a computer to wifi on android device?
For example i want to kill the connection of a specific computer connected to my wifi using my android device?

I have created a hotspot from an android device and connected laptops to it via WiFi
now i want to add my Desktop computer to the same home-group
For this, I connected another android device to the above WiFi network and tethered the same to Desktop
but the desktop is not getting into the same home-group network
I don't want to just share internet connection
Rather i need to share files also over the home-group.
Is it possible to do so??
Hi all,
I'm looking for a way of turning my droid device into a portable Hotspot but using my existing BT Connection.
Essentially, I connect to BT OpenZone to access the internet. I have other devices I want to connect to the internet but they don't have browser options to login to BT Openzone.
So is there anyway I can use my droid as a hotspot without using mobile data.
Many thanks.

You could try:
- installing BTWifi app to auto-login to BTWifi hotspots
- setting up Android wifi hotspot on your android device
- turning off mobile data on your 2G/3G/4G connection
- setting up your other devices to connect to the Android wifi hotspot on your device
- keep your device plugged in to the mains for as long as possible
If you are rooted and running a custom rom like CM11, firewalls like AFWall+ give you even more options
Hello. I am using Wifi tether for root users for Android (and also barnacle sometimes). These applications create an ad-hoc network so each time I can only connect my macbook with my cellphone. I would like to share the internet connection with more than 1 devices and especially my android tablet. My android tablet ( and other android devices I have ) does not recognize the ad-hoc network so I cannot connect to it at all.
In windows I could possibly use the application "Connectifyme" that would split the wifi in two networks and share the connection through the one.
Is there any way to do this using the macbook? Is there any way in gerenal to do this (even without using the macbook).
Any suggestions?
Hi,
I like to use my old Android phone (kitkat) as wlan router, NOT only hotspot.
So ideally it should be possible to connect my PC via WLAN for Internet access AND also
to use a logged-in printer. Until now I can connect the PC(s) for internet and connect the printer
but there is no way to access the printer from the PC. Akaik this means there is no internal
routing in the android device.
I didnt find a solution via an app, is there any?
Because it is much Linux in the android, can i activate internal routing?
Hello guys,
I'm currently trying to use this phone to stream VR content with riftcat, so I need to connect the phone to my pc and turn on USB tethering to stream using the USB, problem is that my phone requires to be connected to something (wifi or mobile) to actually enable tethering and if I turn on wifi it automatically connects to my pc via wifi instead of cable defeating the original purpose.
Is there any fix to this?
I'm currently on the last Leedroid ROM and the phone is rooted and S-OFF and i'm open to any kind of solution (even if it involves changing the ROM)
Thank you all in advance
