Hi,
I like to use my old Android phone (kitkat) as wlan router, NOT only hotspot.
So ideally it should be possible to connect my PC via WLAN for Internet access AND also
to use a logged-in printer. Until now I can connect the PC(s) for internet and connect the printer
but there is no way to access the printer from the PC. Akaik this means there is no internal
routing in the android device.
I didnt find a solution via an app, is there any?
Because it is much Linux in the android, can i activate internal routing?

If your PC has Bluetooth and supports PAN Profile as an Access Point, it should work Yes.
I have created a hotspot from an android device and connected laptops to it via WiFi
now i want to add my Desktop computer to the same home-group
For this, I connected another android device to the above WiFi network and tethered the same to Desktop
but the desktop is not getting into the same home-group network
I don't want to just share internet connection
Rather i need to share files also over the home-group.
Is it possible to do so??
My brother has a laptop. He uses a usb dongle to connect to internet. I use his laptop as a wifi router to use internet on my phone. Is it possible to connect my android phone to my pc to browse internet on it? I have tried connecting, it connects but is not able to browse any website on pc. I am able to browse on phone but not on pc.
I also want to know can i use my android phone as a wlan to play multiplayer games over wifi with my brother?
Hi all, i know that USB tethering has been talked but i could not find exactly as the title says a way to create a lan between my desktop and a notebook in the same room, i tried to activate the wifi hotspot in my android and the USB tethering pluging my android in the PC Desktop, then connected the notebook in the wifi of the smartphone, but the sub network are 192.168.43.xx and 192.168.42.xx so the computers are not in the same Lan, i want to play a game that automatically recognize computers in the same Lan, so is there a way to create a Lan having the material that i have? a pc desktop, an android smartphone and a notebook with wifi? thx in advance
Hi looking to resolve a problem that I can't find an answer to by using Google
I have a tablet running android 11 and have connected a USB c to Ethernet adapter. I have activated wifi and the tablet connects to my local office network. I have activated Ethernet tethering and plugged in a LAN cable to the adapter and the external device (ASIC computer).
The tablet is basically being used to provide wifi connectivity for the device.
I can log into the dashboard and it shows that the ASIC computer is connected and all is working normally BUT I have not found a way to log into the device.... mainly because I have not found a way to locate it's IP address.
I want to be able to configure the firmware on the device from the tablet. It is possible to do this by connecting the device to the router via a lan cable. I then find the IP address on my PC, but I would like to also use the tablet. Thanks
