Google Play Music And Offline Caching - General Questions and Answers

I use Google Play to store all my music on the cloud. I buy it all through Google Play so it's stored instantly. But I also use the Google Play Music Manager to download all my music. I'm getting a 64 GB SD card on Friday and was wondering if I should even be downloading the music through Google Play since I sideload all the content? I want to keep using Google Music Player for my music needs but I don't want to be streaming any of it. So how do I configure this setup?

[Q] about google play music

i'm an italian user and in italy are avaible only market and book services from google play.
one day i had to delete a song from google play music app when it says: "song_name has been sideloaded and uploaded to google play music. Only the sideloaded items will be deleted. Do you want to delete them?"
the point is: i'm worried about the music upload service. i sync my music throught windows media player and i store it all on the internal storage. i don't want my music to be uploaded to google server, specially if it happens when i'm on 3g connection.
for short:
does google play music upload music on 3g connection?
does google play music upload music even if i can't access this service due to country limitations?
thanks in advance

[Q] Google Music

I've a Xoom and a One S. I have put music on both devices using file transfer from home HDD, Amazon MP3 and more recently Google music.
Some Google music is still stored on the Google music servers some is On Device.
The problem is that Google music doesn't recognise the Amazon or file transfer music. Can I make it do so without uploading to the Google music servers?
Additionally I use the HTC Car app however it doesn't list Google music app as an option. Can I set Google music as the preferred app?

[Q] where is downloaded music from Google play?

Ok so the shine is already wearing off the new update that gives Australia the option to purchase music from Google play, I've just bought an album and downloaded it and I wanted to play it in Poweramp but can't find it? Can anyone tell me why
It will be played and stored within Google play music.

But what if I don't want to play it through Google Music app I did just purchase the album I should be able to play it through what ever i like
I believe it is because the files aren't actually downloaded. You stream them from the cloud using the google music player application.
Sent from my GT-N8013 using XDA Premium HD app
If you read the instructions some where it gives you the option to download as opposed to stream .Either for your uploads or paid for music .

So I contacted google about this, yes there is an option to download through the apo or through your pc using music manager (googles answer to itunes I guess).
If you download directly from within the app on your device you can only play it through google music.
If you download it via your pc I usjng music manager you can side load it and play it though whatever you want ie poweramp.
Quite frankly I dont see why google have to make it so difficult and just allow us to download it directly to our Devices and play it how we want for gods sake

[HELP] Google Music Manager download

Hi Guys,
I'm from Brazil and I just bought a Nexus 5 to migrate from an old iPhone 3GS and I'm trying to sync all my iTunes Playlists to the new device, I saw that the Google Music Manager is the simplest way to do this but I can't access the Google Music page from my country. I tried to use a VPN service to enable it but needs a credit card to do the finish the process. Can any good soul download the executable and upload for me? Yes, I google it a lot and couldn't find...
Thanks a lot!
Google Music Manager is great for getting all of your music uploaded to Google Music, but if that's not available in your country it won't be much help to you. EDIT: By this I mean that even if you get the Music Manager to install and let you upload your music, you won't be able to get it back down to your phone.
I would use DoubleTwist

DoubleTwist is a music player that has support for syncing with iTunes.

So, are you saying that even if I downloaded the executable program to my PC, I was unable to sync my iTunes songs?

That's that I want, only sync the songs to the phone, I'm not intended to use Google Music, I use another app to listen my musics.

Right, that's not what the Google Music Manager is for. The Google Music Manager uploads songs to the Play Music service. You can then use the Play Music app on your phone to play back the songs. You can download the songs through the app as well, but they are saved in such a way that only the Play Music applications can play them (technically other players can play them, but the metadata is not saved so you can't actually view the song names or any artist/album info).
Just forget about the Music Manager, it's not what you want. Download DoubleTwist on your phone and computer and it will let you sync your iTunes library directly.
Thanks for the answer, I'm already using it.

Downloaded Google Play Music

Can I use another media player app to access songs downloaded with Google play music?
