i used Kwonggers toolkit and found several errors and bugs annoying which of them either critical or not.
Have you done a factory/data reset in recovery? That'll usually get you past a boot loop

When i try and factory reset in recovery it says it cant mount to anything!
fastboot flash userdata
if you unlock your phone, you should let the system boot up once before you flash twrp/cwm. it rebuilds the directory structure.

If it were me, I'd flash the factory image and start over. Never did like tool kits that do every thing for you.

Flash a stock image to take phone back to stock.
Then fastboot oem unlock for bootloader
let the phone load up once, then do fastboot flash recovery xxxx.img
As for right now when you're in bootloader, try flashing stock recovery or FDR like another user said.

Download the factory image from here https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#hammerhead and flash it.

You don't have to copy anything to your phone. Google how to set up adb / fastboot on your computer. Once set up run the fastboot flash userdata from a command prompt that the other user suggested, sorry on don't remember his name (edit, Zepius). Do you have usb debugging on?
Still bootlooping after flash
Hi,
I have the same issue so I downloaded the factory image on the website then I tried to do these steps :
Code:
- fastboot erase boot
- fastboot erase cache
- fastboot erase recovery
- fastboot erase system
- fastboot erase userdata
- fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-hammerhead.img
- fastboot reboot-bootloader
[ Wait ]
- fastboot -w update rom-hammerhead.zip
(File names might be differents)
But now I still have a bootloop then I tried to acces to recovery mode but I can't mount /sdcard :crying:
Don't just erase. Flash relevant partitions, you phone will return to stock and boot loop will be gone.
Thank's but I don't know which command I have to type
I think it's this one but I'm not sure
Code:
flash <partition> [ <filename> ] write a file to a flash partition
Could you write the command please

I tried installing chainfire3d driver in jellybean( i didnt know then that it is not for JB). Now my nexus wont boot into os. it just stays at the unlocked bootloader logo.
1. I can get into recovery mode
2. I have wiped out the cache and factory reset
3. I dont have a update file in my phone.since nexus dont have an external sd card i cant put any file in it directly.
4. I have tried fastboot -it shows my serial ID and i am able to reboot my phone using it but whenever i try to flash recovery.img or update update.zip it shows "cannot load recovery.img" or "cannot update update.zip"
5. I have tried ADB - on using adb shell it shows "error:device not found"
6. on using Odin (not sure whether it is compatible with Nexus s) it detects my phone. when i tried to flash the stock fireware it fails and my device shows "verify image (radio) fail"
Plz help.Is my phone bricked???????
Ok I don't want to be insulting, but you really REALLY need to read on the whole process of Nexus S rooting and using it.
You don't have to use ODIN at all for something so simple. You simply need to reflash a ROM/your ROM.
Mount your SD from within Clockworkmod recovery and transfer a ROM. Then flash it. Done.
What polo says go to recovery- mount and formay- all the way down "mount sd card". Now your phone will be like a usb drive

either u can find onlien a way to flash back to stock.
or ur best bet is to go to the store and say u got an update but it failed and that now its not turning on. Warranty will cover that
Not completely sure how to explain it.
1. Unlocked Bootloader
2. Flashed or booted TWRP
3. Confused as can be.
At this time I had no clue that there was a simpler system by hasoon.
I just want to get back to stock or whatever so I can just root my phone. I do not want to install custom ROMs, just root.
Can someone link me to a guide to get off TWRP or something?
you still need to do everything you've done. if you don't want to flash a custom rom and just have root then flash this in twrp and then wipe cache and dalvik. UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.25.zip
TWRP is just the recovery and you sorta need it. you don't have to flash a custom rom if you dont want to.

have you tried reboot system? while you are in twrp you could mount usb storage then copy supersu to your sdcard and flash it.
only time i ever got stuck in twrp was when i accidentally flashed twrp to boot instead of recovery in which case it will always enter recovery. did you run "fastboot flash boot <twrp>.img" on accident? the proper command is "fastboot flash recovery <twrp>.img". when you flash recovery always good to run "fastboot erase cache".
I went to reboot. System. It started my phone and just went right back to the TWRP screen.
reflash twrp and boot.img to the proper places just incase
Can you give me a link and or a small guide to doing that? I'm kinda clueless when it comes to doing this kinda stuff.
I'm not the brightest with Androids lol.

I flashed a CM based ROM, and decided to get back to Slimkat. Opened my recovery ( Philz CWM ) wiped everything, and now tried to restore my nandroid ! And suddenly Im on Can't mount /sdcard ! Let's note that I had no USB debug checked as I was only checking out the newly flashed ROM. So am I literally in a dead situation? Anyone please may help ?

fastboot commands are done in the bootloader. USB debugging is an Android setting. The 2 are not related even in the slightest.

Thank you sir ! Im sorry to go further saying that I have never used fastboot even thought this is my third nexus device, the regular way of me having a Nexus is using a toolkit on day one to Unlock/Root and then the rest is always done to me on a Recovery !
I am currently downloading the Factory Image to flash it via fastboot ( There are instructions on how to do that ) But will delete everything on my phone.
Is there a way I can save myself right now without any loss? Via fastboot commands? And how can I do it? ( Im really sorry for taking your time and mixing my inexperience )

Dont flash the entire factory image.
just use the
fastboot flash cache cache.img
Then you won't wipe the device.
This is why not to use toolkits. fastboot is essential basic knowledge and using toolkits means you dont get to learn it

I think you'v nothing to loose by flashing the whole factory image. If /sdcard can't be mounted in this situation, I think that's because you did (or a toolkit) did something wrong and break it. I don't think that you'll be able to save anything.
(It's my point of view. Maybe somebody else has an idea ?)

Next time, maybe, do a backup and, then, copy it to your computer

You didn't use 'Wipe Data' from the bootloader, did you?
Read the OP for CROMBI-KK, compare it to what you did.
Describe in detail what that was.
"Does not work" is not very helpful...

If you made a nandroid before flashing this, then yes, you should be able to restore it.
But let's take it from the beginning. Post your bootloader, recovery and rom versions.
As long as you have access to fastboot you can fix this, so don't do anything hasty.
And please be as specific as you can about what you did. We can only help you if we find out where you went wrong.

hm ok I will try
well, I didn't make a nandroid backup - my fault :<
are there specific bootloader? I was on JB 4.2.1
I am now on twrp v2.6.3.2 but I was while I did the flashing on twrp v2.6.1
hm I did flash crombi-kk rom from the OP
maybe I did some wipe before in twrp .. i think it was recommended?
so now I can't do any reflash or anything in twrp - everytime I want to do something there is this error:
E: Unable to open '/cache/recovery/.version'
I also can't get access to my external SD

All right, your bootloader is current.
I would recommend that you flash TWRP 2.7 in fastboot, then boot into it, do a Factory Wipe in TWRP (that can take upwards of 60 minutes) and flash the rom again.

Alright, everything good so far.
Now download the TWRP 2.7 blob for the tf700 and put it into the same folder as your fastboot.exe.
Then issue this command:
Code:
fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash recovery twrp.blob
if that is successful
Code:
fastboot reboot
Then boot into TWRP via the fastboot menu.
Then you can factory wipe and flash the rom

Alright, everything good so far.
Now download the TWRP 2.7 blob for the tf700 and put it into the same folder as your fastboot.exe.
Then issue this command:
Code:
fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash recovery twrp.blob
if that is successful
Code:
fastboot reboot
Then boot into TWRP via the fastboot menu.
Then you can factory wipe and flash the rom

Well I did that but nothing works
I've got now twrp 2.7 and i did that factory wipe but nothing ever happens.. just the usual message
'unable to open 'cache/recovery/.version'
Don't know what I did wrong :<
http://imageshack.com/a/img842/662/kwy9.png
that's the message I everytime get - doesn't matter if it's a wipe or install or something else
in bootlooder at the top there is this message:
>key driver not found... booting 05<
is it possible to formate my complete data, because I think therein lies the problem, exept fastboot on my device and flash a recovery from fastboot?

If you want to try that, go to the Wipe menu in TWRP, then to Advanced and choose "format data".
In TWRP this can take 90 minutes! D not interrupt it and make sure the tablet is charged or connected to power.
But this will erase your entire data.
The recovery has it's own partition which you can erase in fastboot:
Code:
fastboot erase recovery
.
Then flash the new recovery. You could also try TWRP 2.6.3.2 if 2.7 doesn't work.

Your posted image indicates that simulation mode is active in TWRP - turn if off in TWRP settings.
To format data, it's approximately this: Wipe -> Advanced -> Format -> Data -> confirm
Note that it takes up to 2 hours to format and trim the eMMC.

...which is usually a stupid idea if you don't know exactly what you are doing.
Well I don't know how but it suddenly worked.. i could reinstall the rom but now it seems i am stuck in a bootloop between the picture of the four penguins and a bootscreen of crombi-kk with loading tiles under it
between these two the tablet is rebooting itself constantly
Go back to recovery and do a wipe only Calvin cache and Cache.

Hi Guys
I installed TWRP on my Sensation XE. The bootloader is unlocked.
I tried to install different roms but it gets stuck on the ´Next´ button immediatly after loading the Rom in TWRP. Is that because of S-off? I didn't do that.
I cannot start my phone now.
PLease advice,
Kind Regards
Guido

change your recovery to 4ext
http://d-h.st/rG7
extract the recovery.img and flash it via fastboot command
the command is fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
then from 4ext format all partitions except sdcard
enable smartflash from 4ext(if you are on S-ON)
flash the rom
done
note: enable smartflash exactly before flashing the rom
i'll give it a try at home. Thank you!
I'll let you know.
Thank you so much! It worked really good
So happy

boot your device to the bootloader, select fastboot and connect it to the pc
extract the recovery.img from the link above and place it in the folder where you have adb/fastboot files in your pc
open a command window from that folder and type

I've used OneX AIO tool to flash it, and now I have 4ext Recovery Touch and my Sensation is alive again! Thank you!
Hi guys I tried to flash ''cm-13.0-20151108-UNOFFICIAL-pyramid'' via ''TWRP-2.8.7.0-pyramid-r9-cm13'' but that failed, ever since I am stuck at the HTC logo, I tried to flash numerous older firmwares but try to factory reset/wipe I get an ''unable to format storage'' so any Rom I try fails. It was previously running older version of CM fully rooted which I have fully backed up via CWM but now cant restore is due to TWRP & CWM being incompatible.
I have tried so many ADB commands but ADB only responds when in TWRP any time else like in Fastboot I get absolutely no response at all, I have also tried to flash CWM back any way possible but have failed same with ''4EXT-Recovery-Touch-v1.0.0.5-RC5-PG58IMG''. Also tried RUU but kept on receiving 'Connection Error' even though the USB cable was connected & works fine, also tried using ''Sensation_All-In-One_Kit_v3.1'' no luck either with any of its commands.
I have attached the Bootloader screen if it can help with this boot loop.
I have never has such issues with Samsung Phones so I am a total noob with HTC phones so any help would be really great.
Any help would be really great from this amazing community!
TWRP has broken my partition table. I cannot format via parted due to the fact it now has 'overlapping partitions'. No recovery can fix this including 4ext. Completely stuck at the minute. I don't want to use a microsd card as storage when I have internal storage available. Is there anyone that can help or has had any success? I am S-OFF and bootloader UNLOCKED.
Tried stock RUU via P58..zip and get's stuck part way through (I think at system or SD)
Help! I'm sure there's someone that can fix the partition table. The format of the internal storage sd is fat32 - which I believe is where the problem started from. I don't want to let this problem defeat me although I have spent an age trying to sort it...too late to give up
Any help is highly appreciated.
Cheers

Yeah how did you do it? Too late for me now though as my device is S-OFF and I'm stuck in QHUSB_DLOAD bricked mode. I have tried unlimited.io's s-off etc no joy. Wonder if there is ever going to be anything that can take me out of this apart from jtag.

What I've done has been, through a PC with Windows Vista (I have been unable to get anything with Windows 8 onwards ), I installed the HTC One X All In One tool, and in the part where the recoverys are located, there are three (CWM, TWRP and other), I went to the Data / Recoveries folder and I deleted the TWRP, replacing this with an image of 4EXT Recovey Touch, and putting the same name that has the recovery erased. Then I went to the tool, I installed TWRP (which was 4EXT which replaced it) and my Sensation revived. Good luck!
For me it is not loading to 4ext, after flashing it..... stuck at htc logo. if i install twrp or cwm it boots to it... any idea how to fix it?
