Kit Kat & Wireless charging - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone know if Kit Kat fixed the wireless charging for the Nexus 5 that the Nexus 4 had with Jellybean 4.3?

What was wrong with it?
I charged mine wirelessly last night, worked fine.

The only issue it had was hardware and that it'd slide off all the wireless chargers I tried it on. The matte finish (black) keeps it on the energizer charger I have nicely.

The Nexus 4 sometimes had a wake lock problem if you wirelessly charged it. It would refuse to enter deep sleep and instead ran at 384 MHz and eventually killed the battery charge faster.

QI Charging Pad for Multiple Devices

So I have a Nexus 4 and Got the new Nexus 7 2013 edition. I'm now in the market for a charging pad that can do both of the devices at once. Any suggestions?
Just got the n7 myself too. Its on its way. Wireless charging might not be a deal breaker, but my mattress is tall and I hate plugging in and unplugging every time I want to use it from bed. Hopefully there is a good dual qi charger for these 2 devices.

This is the only one that I've seen that does 2 at once. I have it and it charges mine and girl friend's n4 great at the same time. I don't have a new nexus 7 to try though.

[Q] Someone that already have the N5 and a N4 wireless charger

Does the N5 holds on the N4 wireless charger?
Does it work ok?
Thanks
Yes

There's no reason why it shouldn't work. I fully plan on using my Nexus 5 with the LG WCP-700 wireless charger that I've been using with my Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 for many months now.

Works great here, no complaints. Seems to "stick" to the charger well and have not had any slipping off the charger.

Great to hear that... my little charger have been sitting there for month with no one to charge
Mine works just fine. It doesn't stick to the charger like my Nexus 4 did which means I can pick it off one handed without lifting up the charger too. It doesn't slip off though.

Wireless charger sucks!

When I leave it overnight it only charges to 98%. Any idea

Leave it charging all day as well. Your battery life will be amazing

It's trickle charging most likely, meaning that it charges to 100% then let's the battery drop a few percent and charges again slowly. I've never plugged in my N5 (I exclusively charge wirelessly) and it always charges to 100%.

I use the Nokia DT-910 and my phone is always at 100% when I wake in the morning. Could be a faulty wireless charger.

What type of wireless charger are you using?I have the Google wireless charger and have no issue. It takes slightly longer than standard wall mount type.I bought a cheap wireless charger also, brought it to work used it twice as it was junk took forever. Now my son uses it as a lasso for our dog.

I have the qi wireless charger. Apparently my DC cable isn't strong enough to supply the current it needs

[Q] Wireless Charging issue with Lollipop

I am running a stock Nexus 5 with Lollipop. Since the OS update I have noticed that my Google wireless charging square (for the Nexus 5) will charge up the phone to 100%, but if left on the charger for some time, it then stops charging and lets the phone start losing charge and does not re-charge at any point. I have seen it do this now three days in a row where I leave the phone on the charger overnight and wake up to find it at 75-79% charge state. This never happened with Kitkat.
I also have a couple other non-Google Qi chargers and they do not have this issue. Anyone else seeing this?
Thanks
Yes. It will no longer charge wirelessly. I put it on the charger and it charges for a second then hops right back off. Currently it's on my desk flopping back & forth from charging/uncharging and making a god awful amount of noise.
This only started happening after I installed 5.0
I am using the official nexus wireless charger and it is working flawlessly in Lollipop on my nexus 5.
Mine is working but it is terribly slow and it heats up rapidly

Nexus 5 charge, 4 does not
I have a Nexus 4 and 5. The 5 chares on the Qi compatible charge but the 4 does not. The 4 cycles start/stops/starts/stops, etc. The only difference I know of is that the 5 was a wipe and install where the 4 was a upgrade from Kit Kat. Perhaps this is another of the bugs that is fixed with a wipe install?
Having the same problem. I have the original nexus charger, and 5 other Qi compatible chargers and all doing the same thing. Been getting worse and worse to the point where I can't even use one reliably with the case off.
This seems to be an issue on my Nexus 7 with Lollipop as well.....
a new battery from ebay, solved all my problems. Qi charger is working, battery life is back to normal. And the performance is increased back to where I would have expected.
Just upgraded my N5 to lollipop (clean flash) and my third party QI charger is working fine with my case on.

Charge time?

Can anyone confirm how quickly their phones charge? Using the stock charger that came in the box, I was getting an estimate of 3.5 hours until full from 29%. Granted the stock charger charges at 550mah. Has anyone tried a 2.1amp charger?
On my old nexus 6 fast charger it was 2 to 2.3 h/m
(edit) literally the only thing I hate about this phone is the charging. Going to just charge it at night I been tinkering with it to much.

What h/m stand for? Sorry if it's a silly question, I've just never seen this abbreviation used before when it comes to batteries.
I'm weird don't worry. Hour / minutes.
