I'll believe it does work on that hboot , follow the guide that you'll find within this thread
Look for the section entitled How To: S-Off your device with Revolutionary: S-OFF & Recovery Tool where you find comments
NOTE: For HBOOT 0.98.0002, please use this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1194488
If you have done this, then please provide any output that you receive....capture screen if possible.
Edit: corrected mistake

It works fine on this bootloader (0.98.0002).
The only thing that needs to be done is to run fre3vo to gain temp root before running Revolutionary, because Revolutionary fails to temp-root, as specified in the linked guide.
My rom is 1.48.707.1 and Hboot 0.98.0.0.2. I have successfully s-offed my desire S. As Jack _R1 said, we need fre3vo to get temporary root.

I stand corrected, amended above post, so correct.

I bought my Sensation from a friend that allready had upgraded to ISC OTA..
so im S-ON with HBOOT 1.27 and almost dyeing to S-OFF and Root...
does anybody know, if any are working on making it posible ??
don't think so....you have to go back to GB and then make all the things
Soory to hijack the thread, I have the same problem.
And as I understand, when we have the 1.27 boot loader, we are pretty much stuck, until someone crackes this. So its not possible to downgrade.

yes, you can unlock your bootloader on the htcdev site. i had mine unlocked yesterday. planning to root so that i can install custom rom.
You have to use Juopunutbear S-OFF method on newest Hboots. You can also use 4-EXT Smart flash if you're S-ON. Hope this helps.

You unlocked your bootloadee right than flashed Rom or root

Ughhh come on install a sense 4+ rom
Do you know any inn norwegian? The one XL issent out for sale here, so its only english, and i dont wanna mess up the lte its the 2600mhz band that is supported here
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda app-developers app
X-factor is made specifically for the AT&T version (since before the S-off method, there was no reason for any other version to SuperCID). So that may be why SuperCID is failing for you.
The "manual" method of changing the CID should work for any version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1671396
You need to be rooted to change CID. So (as mentioned previously) install TWRP and flash SuperSU in recovery. Or install a rooted ROM. Any Sense based Jellybean ROM will have a working touchscreen.
thank you for info
But i dont wanna ruin my phone, what rom does have sense 4 and norwegian? dont wanna install rom for the quadcore cpu
