any news on S-OFF on HBOOT 1.27 - HTC Sensation

I bought my Sensation from a friend that allready had upgraded to ISC OTA..
so im S-ON with HBOOT 1.27 and almost dyeing to S-OFF and Root...
does anybody know, if any are working on making it posible ??

don't think so....you have to go back to GB and then make all the things

Soory to hijack the thread, I have the same problem.
And as I understand, when we have the 1.27 boot loader, we are pretty much stuck, until someone crackes this. So its not possible to downgrade.

Desire S how to S-OFF and Root ?!?

Hello!
I want to root my Desire S with official rom 2.3.5

My question - any solution for rooting and S-OFF for my Desire? I tray everething (UnlockRoot, SuperOneClick...), but no results Please help...
i think you must be s-off with revolutionary before root
to use revolutionary, you'll have to downgrade your hboot.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1318919
But I think you can get around that by using the HTC Dev website to s-off. I've never used HTC dev before so maybe someone else can shed some light on that

Is it possible to get S-OFF without downgrading my HBOOT?
Yes as I mentioned before with htcdev but I'm not sure on how it works. Maybe someone else can help with that

I used manuals from HTC DEV site to unlock bootloader. After successful unlocking I used this instructions

Now, I have rooted my Desire S!!! But... ALL THINGS from my phone is deleted
My HBOOT is still 2.00.0002
Any solution to change S-ON to S-OFF?
I don't think its necessary to have s-off but when you flash a rom, you'll have to flash the boot.img as well.
I'm not sure why you lost everything though

Htcdev can unlock your bootloader but it won't s off.
To s off you'd need to downgrade hboot n use revolutionary.
Read up on the forum your question has been answered many many times

sadsac is correct, htcdev can only unlock your bootloader, nothing more. But you will need for other steps to get mobile s-off and root.
In my case, I also had got HBOOT 2.00.0002 and revolutionary do not like it, so i had to downgrade:

[Q] Can I still get S-OFF after taking the 1.43 and 1.50 OTAs

Hi I currently have a unupdated T-mobile Sensation, I have never taken any OTA updates.
If I take the 1.43 and 1.50 updates can I still use Revolutionary IO to get S-Off? I understand the 1.50 updates includes a new H-Boot which Revolutionary IO can't unlock - but is it possible to go from the 1.50 update back to an older RUU (and the original H-Boot of 1.17)?
Thank you for answering my question.
I would recommend you s off before you do any ota updates. For sure Revolutionary supports h boot 1.17, which is what you should have. I am not sure if Revolutionary supports 1.18 h boot.
Read the guides stickied at the top of the development forum so you don't screw up your phone.
In regard to you question no it would not be possible.

Thanks I think I will just keep it as is right now until CM9 or a complete AOSP rom is released.
Yes it supports HBOOT 1.18.0000 and it has done since it was released

EddyOS is right. It does support 1.18.0000. I managed to s-off my branded O2 sensation when I got it back from repair. It was also on 1.50.xxx, I restored it to the STOCK 1.50.401.1 (unbranded) Went back to S-ON and have just recently S-off'd again.
So.... Yes you can =)
so the t-mobile usa 1.50.531.1 update did not update the hboot past 1.18? i thought it was hboot 1.27?

S off before updating to h boot 1.27, revolutionary doesn't support it.

any help for roms?

Hello, due to a loooong story, I have hboot 1.23 and well as some of you may know its terrible, I now cannot flash any files at all via hboot and my firmware is 3.12 but the problem is I love ics and so, can anybody please find me any roms that have ics and run on firmware 3.12 not 3.24 or anything else. It will probably be android version 4.01 or could be 4.03 but it would have stated firmware 3.2. I don't mind even if the roms are outdated versions of the newest version of roms, such as arhd 6.0.0 instead of what is being used now.
Thanks.
Do you have s off? If you do just flash the firmware that has the 1.27 unlocked h boot 1.27 and flash the ICS Rom you want.

no i dont have s-off.I tried to get to stock and wrote s-on incorrectly (apparently).
Now i can't really do anything until revolutionary updates, i have to stay with the ooooold roms.
COREDROID 4.0 works on 1.23, the problem is you can't flash radios which isn't in this ICS ROM. So you're s on. I am assuming you used HTC unlock. I assume you have root and custom recovery. What did you do exactly.

I used to run Virtuous Inquisition on HBOOT 1.23, in fact I've only recently changed to 1.27.
How did you change to 1.27? I thought hboot 1.23 did not have firmware flashing or any advanced fastboot commands...

Well yes. I had to use HTCdev because I wrote s on wrong and my bootloafer was locked so I ran htcdev, flashed recovery and now I'm s-on without being able to change ny hboot or anything at all now.

If you have s off you can flash any firmware with 1.23. Why do you refuse to understand that 1.23 s on is your problem, yes you are in fact stuck there. No matter how many threads you ask the same thing in, sorry but it's the truth.

To S-OFF use Juopunutbear S-OFF method. Read and follow this detailed guide.
Thats not revolutionary...
Atm revolutionary doesnt support this version of hboot.

Sorry about that.. solved my problem, i forgot that @ revolutionary site you can choose the hboot version XD. the supported ones are 1.17 and 1.18, anyway my problem is solved 'cause i've used a RUU to return back to hboot 1.18, anyway thank you!

It is possible i already did it one time when i recovered the phone with the 1.45 RUU starting from a Android 4.0.3 based custom rom, it's a bit twisted process but not that hard
I know its possible with s-off. But with stock, unrooted ICS iT's not..

[Q] downgrade from hboot 1.29 to 1.18?

Hey everyone,
I have a Htc Sensation XE, with ICS (original rom) and i want to s off and root it, but the hboot is a 1.29 so the revolutionary way does not work, i know that there is a new way, the Juopunutbear one, but its seems a little hard, and to be honest i'm afraid to brick my phone, so can i just downgrade the phone ? flash any GB stock rom and use the revolutionary way to s off and root it ? if yes, how i'll do it ?
Thank you, and sorry for my bad english.

i think if you downgrade your hboot version you will brick your device
instead of juopunutbear method you can do htcdev unlock method to unlock the bootloader and then root the device
and if a flash a RUU rom, a GB one, and then do the s off and root thing with the best method i know, the revolutionary one ^^

i don't know if you can do that when you are in completely stock situation
wait for someone else to confirm it
if yes then you can do that procedure
You can't flash gb ruu, if you aren't s-off, or if you don't have supercid. Try the juopuntuBeats, is very easy and no problem. If you try it 4-5 times before running the program you can do it very fast.
EDIT: you can't brick your phone, if you do all the things that is required!!! First of all unlock the bootloader, with the htc WEB SITE and then install a recovery with the sensation toolkit and then install ROOT. Finish if you want to s-off you have to do the juopuntubear if no, you can flash rom with s-on but only with 4ext recovery
ok ok, thank you very much my friends, you have been a great advise, thank you once again.
No problem, bu remember do it slowly and keep calm

Try the juopunutbear method without htcdev unlock so you won't break your warranty! If you follow the instructions well, nothing will happen to your phone and it's not as tricky as you think

Nothin will happen, just S-OFF. Don't worry it works fine, when i do it first time i got success on the 4th try, now i can catch timing on the first attempt...so like other things it just depends on practice..
