4.3 MJ6 debloat list - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 General

The first step I've taken in removing bloatware from the Stock DeOdexed ROM freeza provided (Thanks freeza!) is to... well, freeze what I feel is safe to freeze, while keeping the SM-N900P at as close to full functionality as possible. Decrease CPU/Memory usage and improve battery life.
WARNING: I have no idea what I'm doing. I've kept some apps out of the list because I don't know whether or not they're safe to be removed. I've had the listed apps frozen for days with no apparent issue. Some of these apps might be useful to you so be mindful of what you freeze. Some stock apps are not listed because I find them useful or necessary.
I will not troubleshoot your problems, replace your device or assist in repairing it in the event that you break it, it is your property and if you can't take care of it then it is you who is held responsible.
I recommend freezing apps, rather than remove them. Only remove apps when you're absolutely sure there will be no conflict.
With that said...
The device I'm using is a SM-N900P Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Root Access, TWRP Recovery, DeOdexed Stock ROM
Here is a list of what I have frozen.

Apps Safe to Remove on Galaxy i9000M Bell Canada

After much searching, I figured I'd create a thread specific to the Galaxy S Vibrant (i9000M) from Bell in Canada.
This post covers all the bloatware I've successfully removed from my rooted phone via Titanium Backup (Pro).
PLEASE NOTE: I purchased TB Pro so I could test the removals using "Freeze". I also created a full backup and moved it off my SD card for safe keeping. I'm not responsible for you bricking your phone.
Here is the list of apps I've successfully removed:
GPS Navigator (I use Google Maps Nagivation)
Memo
Mini Diary
Samsung Apps
Samsung Email
Samsung IM
Social Hub (2 entries in TB)
Write and Go
Daily Briefing
AccuWeather Clock
AllShare
Days Widget
Dual Clock Widget
Feeds and Updates Widget
Kobo
Bell Remote PVR
Tunes & Apps (Bell Software
TV & Radio (Bell Software)
Y! Finance Clock
Cheers
Your contribution is appreciated. Thank you!

Safe to Remove these apps??

Okay, so I've gone and f'd around with TiBu before on my Droid X and removed system/user apps that I didn't personally used. Long story short my phone stopped functioning the way it should and I had to sbf and start over. So this time I figure I'll get some input before I go doing such things. This is a list of apps I want to delete, some of them I've already frozen without adverse effects so I prob could delete those but I added them in the list anyways.
AllShare Controller 1.0
AllShare Play 1.0.0210
AllShare Service 1.0
Backup Assistant Plus (1.0 &/or 2.0 - I would imagine I could at least get rid of one of them right?)
Bubbles 1.0 (Live Wallpaper)
Deep Sea 1.0 (Live Wallpaper)
Email 4.0 (I only ever use Gmail)
Exchange Services
Google Play Music 4.3.609.x
Google+ 3.1.1.x
JellyBean Keyboard
Luminous Dots 1.0 (Live Wallpaper)
Media Hub 1.6.0(LE07,6487)
Music Hub 30.2012.x
Phase Beam 1.0 (Live Wallpaper)
Photo Wall 1.0 (Live Wallpaper)
S Memo 12.02.07.4816 (There's actually 2 of this exact thing in my TiBu list...)
Sync Service 2.8.0.1.17 (I believe this is more Backup Asst garbage)
Any input would be appreciated.
I can confirm that I have removed the following .apk's from the ROM and have not had any problems with stability.
[*]S Memo 12.02.07.4816 (There's actually 2 of this exact thing in my TiBu list...)
[*]Media Hub 1.6.0(LE07,6487)
[*]Music Hub 30.2012.x

It wasn't on that list one way or another and I've heard conflicting stories on deleting it. That's the most irritating one I want to get rid of too lol.

I've had one force close ever from removing these. It only happened once, when I actually uninstalled a group of things, never since. I'm still experimenting and I'll be using that list linked above.

ChocoEUKor is a font, nothing special. Not entirely sure about the other. It's listed as safe on the link above. It's named Bluetooth.apk but removing it doesn't hurt BT functionality (nor GPS). If I don't know what it is, I probably don't need it

What would be great is a google spreadsheet list with a small blurb about what the app is, and perhaps other apps it's related to since a number of these are going to be connected.

On my todo list
I did the same on my razr HD when I found a comprehensive list of what each of the apps are doing. I froze some apps on my note 3 already, but the ones I wasn't sure of wether they're needed or not I didn't touch.
THANKS!!!
Wow, this thread is awesome!!!
I was finding apps to remove/freeze on my Note 3 (SM-N900) as I was only getting 3.5 to 4 hours screen time on regular usage. And in order to save some battery!!!...
And I came across this thread!!
THIS IS GREAT!
MANY THANKS!
:good::good::good:
Also would be nice to have a guide about safe deleting of several ROM items like Wallpapers or Sounds (and other things) in a way to free up space for our own apps, and have a Slimmer ROM..
What dou you think?

Sounds great, but my first goal is to make some kind of spreadsheet with good information about every app that can be frozen and what the purpose is of that specific app.
And this will take a a lot time.
When done, we will see.

Why don't you just throw it up on Google Docs and iterate slowly - and also getting the community to chip in. Like so -
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmzC8GFarItSdGpOZzBfWlR4MC03aDMyZ1BDUFNqU0E&usp=sharing
Would be also good to get a level of battery usage.
Like High Medium Low. Know it would take ages but maybe make a collaborative piece so we can all help out!

My experience with freezing is that it will save some battery, but don't expect miracles.
For example, without freezing i will lose about 1% a hour at standby and now i will lose less 0.5%.
But every % is one .
And i just hate it when i spent a lot of money to buy a nice expensive smartphone, it is loaded with bloatware i don't use and eating resources.

I couldn't find a list of apps that could be frozen last Saturday, but I found one via the forums search for the Galaxy S4. So if you really want to make a google spreadsheet, I would start with the S4 one as a template as it already contains a lot of information about apps that can be found on the note 3. I just checked through the spreadsheet to verify that I didn't freeze anything I need (I looked up which apps run in the background and then checked the spreadsheet before freezing an app). But having a complete list with info about what app-freeze impacts what other apps would be great too. Just found out this morning that I couldn't send SMS as I mistakenly froze the messaging app :silly:
Nice list...Now loving my new toy even more!

[TOOL/UTILITY][AROMA] SGN3 (SM-N900x) Bloat Removal Tool [VER2.0][2014-07-19]

Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this kernel
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
In an effort to learn how to correctly use Aroma, I decided to write a tool that will assist you in removing the suffocating amount of bloatware my beloved Note 3 is cursed with. It is nothing more than an Aroma script which will let you select what apps to remove, and then it removes them.
FEATURES
Removes 200+ apps considered to be bloatware.
Works with all variants of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N900T, SM-N9005, etc.)
Can apply the screen rotation fix, if you uninstall Samsung Hub.
Clear Dalvik cache.
...And more!
REQUIREMENTS
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (duh?!?!)
Root
TWRP, CWM, or PhilZ Custom CWM installed.
A burning desire to strike down bloatware with the force of a thousand suns! Optional, but highly recommended!
NOTES
I strongly recommend you do a full backup before using this script.
After removing bloatware, clearing Dalvik cache would be a good idea, so they can be rebuilt at boot.
My device is a SM-N900T (T-Mobile SGN3), so obviously I can't determine what other apps another carrier has added. If you would like to list their names and filenames (including path), along with the carrier and I'd be happy to add them to the list. I have downloaded stock images from all of the different variants of the SGN3 and will determine what other apps are installed.
If I missed any apps that you would consider bloatware please let me know, and I'll add them as well!

Awesome, thank you for your work!
Script is now at version 2.0, with over 200 apps that can be removed from all major US variants of the Galaxy Note 3!
thank's
will dl it and certainly look inside....
Has any tried this out on the newer 4.4.2 firmware?
Will try it myself tonight, but just want to know if there are apps not being removed.
Many thanks

Great work ! I have SM-N9005 and new kitkat 4.4.2 XXUGNG1 and it works flowelessly ! Removed everything I selected in aroma !
Just one notice...would it be a problem to incorporate a backup bloatware option ?

Great to know it works, will use it tonight.
If you do a backup of the rom before debloat you can use Titanium Backup to extract the app from the backup and reinstall it.

I never do backup with bloatware.Dr.Ketan has incorporated backup function in his N7100 bloatware removal tool so I thought it would be conviniate to have it here also.
Well unfortunately this doesn't remove all bloat on the latest firmware. Knox and a few other apps still remained, as well as some new apps Samsung has added in the latest firmware.
But not a biggy as I used TB to remove most of the leftover bits.

[SCRIPT][DEBLOAT][STOCK FW][KitKat] Debloater S4 v0.9a Alpha by Obi-Wan

Hey Folks!
May I proudly present my debloater script for Samsung Galaxy S4 stock firmware.
It debloats almost all samsung apps (except S-Voice, S-Planner and Samsung Apps to update the former two) as well as most of the Google apps, which can be downloaded from Google Play for free (Google Music, Newsstand, Chrome, YouTube etc.) and (I think) all remains of KNOX subsystem from Samsung TouchWiz stock ROM. It preserves stock browser though, and all items related to hardware functionality (NFC, S-Beam, ScreenMirror, etc.).
It was tested on S4 GT-I9505 running Stock I9505XXUGNK4 Android 4.4.2, rooted, TWRP 2.8.6.0 installed.
It is based on TrulyClean v1.6 by schoolsux from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2307355
(Many thanx for him for that).
Please, feel free to PM or email me about all issues/requests/errors and so on about this script.
Enjoy.

Version 0.91:
- fixed Wi-Fi Direct share (now it is not removed)
