Hi friends,
So I was running CyanogenMod 10.1.3 on my S3 and decided to update to the CM 10.2 snapshot that was available for download through the settings page. After messing around with it a bit, I decided I didn't like it and re-installed 10.1.3 through the same page. When it came back up, the CyanogenMod logo just kept turning and turning. I tried to re-install the CM 10.1 .zip file I had on the phone, but Clockworkmod couldn't find it. I also tried to restore to a backup, but again, CWM couldn't find any.
As I see it, all I need to do is get a new CM .zip onto the phone that I can flash from recovery. I downloaded adb for this purpose, but can't get it to open on my computer (Windows 7 x64). So, can anyone tell me another way to get the .zip onto the phone?
I greatly appreciate any help.

Hey it sounds like you have a couple issues there, not sure where to start. One thing I can help with is getting adb on the Win7 PC. What you need to do is download the Android SDK at http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html. Once the Android SDK is on your machine then use that to get the Android Platform-tools. ADB.exe is part of the platform tools. I hope that helps.
did you save the CM .zip file to your phone's internal storage or an SD card? if internal, it may have been erased when you flashed back to CM 10.1. if you put it on your SD card, try reinstalling the SD card and reboot. i've had issues with my S3 where the SD card would come unseated when i put the back cover back on.
also, did you do a wipe when you reinstalled CM? sometimes that helps get you out of bootloop (but it erases all of your data, so hopefully you did a backup).

I've had bootloop problems with cm after trying to downgrade from cm10.2. Wiping data, cache, etc didnt help, it still boot looped for me. A TWRP backup was the only thing that saved me. I have used this to get out of a soft brick before, maybe try that as a last resort? Good luck, and i recommend using twrp recovery instead of cwm, it has given me problems before. Good luck!

On my phone I was running CM10. I recently downloaded the nightly for CM10.1. So I went into CWM, flashed the new 10.1, Gapps, then wiped Data and Factory Reset. When I was done and rebooted my phone, It gets stuck in a loop of "Unfortunately Setup Wizard has stopped. I try to turn the phone off but the power button seems useless. Is there a way for me to fix this. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
To make things worse my PC crashed a few days ago and I had to purchase new Hardware and is back up and running, but with a fresh install.

If you can't turn the phone off then pull the battery.
So I am able to get back into CWM. New Problem...When i go to chose zip from internal SD card, i get 3 options:
-0/
-legacy/
-obb/
When i go into the first one I see my downloads folder, when i go to it says "No Files Found". Ok.....so i go to my external SD and select a different zip I get the dead Andy and it says
"E:Cant open/external_sd/(Rom Zip)
(bad)
Installation Aborted

You should have choose O. It also helps to remember where you put the flashable zip of the ROM.
"Unfortunately Setup Wizard has stopped." is because you flashed the wrong gapps. make sure you have the latest for CM10.1 which i believe is 20121212.
Ok so I have been trying to install blackbean 8 for my tf300 running 4.2.1 using twrp 2.5. I could never get it past the first boot screen. I have read everywhere for days and tried everything. I wipe data, system, cache, and dalvik cache everytime to no avail. It does the same thing everytime even with cm 10.1. I finally read something about formatting data and i thought i would give it a try (which I am now so badly regretting) because i have a nandroid backup on my microsd. So I tried it and it did the same thing! So i tried to restore the backup from my external sd but nothing shows up!!! It recognizes it and tells me how much space I have left but there are no files on it.... The part that confuses me is I plug the microsd onto my computer and all the files are on it! Am I bricked? I have no idea what to do right now so any help would be greatly appretiated!
EDIT: Ok so i got it to recognize my micro sd by trying a different one but it says i have nothing in my recovery file. Why would that be?
EDIT2 So i got cm 10.1 sideloaded using adb but it still wont boot! Am i missing something? I would really like to understand.
Howdy.
I royally screwed up somehow and my G2 on Sprint is now soft bricked.
So here's what happened: I had been running an unofficial CM 10.2 ROM on my phone and I saw that the official nightlies were available and apparently pretty stable, so I decided to try that out. I backed up what I need and went into TWRP to wipe system and I flashed the original G2 ROM so that I could update PRL before I dove into CM 11. Well, when it booted into the stock ROM, it started to download a new update which I couldn't stop and it rebooted to install it. I figured there was no harm in that, but it turns out there was because it would not install and it was stuck at 0% for a good hour, so I decided to force it to shut down, wipe the system and re-flash the unofficial CM, but it wouldn't boot.
Everything I tried only went straight into TWRP and I have become stuck there. Well, I did the stupid thing and I advanced wiped my system and cleared the internal storage as well because I thought that might help. Now I have no backup, but it charges through the usb cable and I can ADB push files for installation. So far, all of my efforts to install and boot a ROM have not worked and I am currently in a state of TWRP limbo and can't get out.
Any suggestions as to what I can do? Thanks.
how did you solve it? I've the same problem
this way? adb sideload https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CivvxcM1PCY
Ok so today CyanogenMod released the m10 snapshot version for the A700 and before installing it, i decided to factory reset my tablet from CWM and then install the new version.
My tablet did run the cyanogenmod intro start up like all new devices but I found out that my music, videos, pictures, etc were still there even though I formatted from recovery. SO, I decided to factory reset from the settings, tablet reboots, won't start up! I've come to the conclusion that I might have reset my tablet to stock firmware even though there isn't any installed. I can open recovery but can't do anything other than scroll through the menus. Whenever I confirm an action the tablet bootloops. I think I can solve this by re-flashing the new rom but whenever I go to install zip the tablet reboots into a bootloop. Is there anyway to install the rom without recovery? Like using command prompt? And if that's not the case then could you help me solve this issue?
Many thanks to anyone who can help me out
SOLVED: After spending 7 non-stop hours on command prompt typing in fastboot and adb commands, managed to somehow luckily figure it out. I can't really explain how I did it but I did it

My a701 have this problem too. looks like @Flupkes Problem too, the different is i Reset it From Snapshot M7 this my old thread and could make the adb working because the usb slot problem.
Hi, I'm new to the forum, I am kinda scared so I'll try to be careful.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Trend Lite GT-S7390 (I know it's not a great device, but it's what I have), I had installed in it a CM11 rom which worked pretty well, except for not playing videos. In a Facebook group for users of that phone I saw a modded version that worked several video bugs for that rom, so I downloaded it along with the GApps, copied them into the SD Card and went into recovery (TWRP).
When I tried to factory reset, I had the next issue: "Unable to mount /sdcard" (which is the internal memory, I think). I tried to mount it on my PC and format it (I'm not really sure what mounting is, I'm sorry), but I wasn't successful.
Anyway, I rebooted the device, and it asked me if I wanted to re-install SU because I wasn't root (which I was). First time I said yes, and it rebooted into recovery (even when i selected power off). Then I tried powering it off again by recovery, and it rebooted into recovery again. I took off the battery, and now it just shows the model number and it stays in a black screen.
I really don't know what I did wrong, and I am very afraid of having bricked my phone. If anyone has any comments or suggestions I would really appreciate it. Thank you very much!

There, I was able to go to Download mode, reinstall the Recovery and flash the ROM. I think I got it from here, thank you very much!
