It is quite odd since I never owned a Nexus S or really any Samsung phone for that matter. Has anyone else received an e-mail like this?
I got the same email couple of weeks back when the first gb leak was out

No big deal, I think the build property was just changed. Many people including myself got the same email.
Okay, thanks guys. I Just wanted to make sure it wasn't some odd stupid thing I did. Thanks for the help!
Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is just because of changes to the build.prop

figured it was, like others stated, something in the framework of the phone--
can't get google video talk w/o a little Nexus S in the build
I have a question for the experts. My company email server forces security policies to my phone so that I HAVE to have a pin code to unlock it, it is annoying. When I rooted my phone and installed Vipers ROM I was able to get it set up without the security settings forcing me to do the pin code.
On any AOSP ROMs when I enter the settings it forces me to set up the pin code. I no likey sense ROMs so how do I turn off the stupid pin code? Anyone? $10 PayPal bounty to the first person who can tell me how.
Thanks!

So I went back to Viper XL ROM (sense ROM) and it does not force me to add a lock code like aosp email does. I know my company email server forces out the security policy, but why does Sense get around it somehow, and aosp doesn't? $10 bounty still applies. Paypal immediately......

BMM for android went live today. Download it. I have installed it and it will ask you for your email ID which you created to sign up for blackberry ID. It will transfer all your contacts to your new PIN automatically.

It works perfect. I had a BB before so all my BBM friends were migrated to new BBM10 when I installed it on my device.
Works perfect no lag or service issues noticed so far

What's the point of it? Does it have any advantages over other IM solutions (such as WhatsApp)?
I don't see any use of it. Atleast WhatsApp and Viber picks contact from our phone numbers. This seems useless. The UI looks quite appealing only.

why?
I don't understand why anyone cares about this? What does it do that the myriad other messaging apps don't?
I though everyone here would wanting to be using Hangouts. Possibly by next week it will have sms integration, voice and group video calling and im capabilites all in one app in which you just use your existing Google account.

See, I think we should leave them out in the dark, cold and alone; as a way to gently shame them into upgrading to a device that doesn't suck. =)
I got it to see what the fuss is about, but couldn't agree more with the other statements in this thread, in my opinion, it's too little too late, had it have been before the advent of whatsapp and the like, perhaps it may have been relevant. But now, a service like bbm holds no weight when there's already a few, well established multi-platform services that do the same thing.

I have a problem with Twitter notification settings. When I try to change Twitter's notifications settings it's always gives this error: "you can only attach 25 devices with your account" Anyone knows about this problem? It's really annoying. I already tried to revoke all the apps from my account and clear the app's data sort of things, it didn't work.

Same problem her, i found a solution for me 1hour ago.
Awkward thing, i install twitter in my HTC Dream G1, and notifications work, but on my nexus 5 not, they say same post 1 ''only 25 devices ....''
So, in my G1, i go on ''delete account from this device'', and now twitter notifications work on my Nexus.

Unfortunately, that didn't work for me. I signed out of my Desire S, that also had working notifications, and still revoked access to Twitter for Android, before logging back into my P6, but it didn't make a difference at all. I'm still waiting to hear from Twitter Support.
EDIT: Ok, I have it working now! I turned off notifications and sync on my DS, then signed into my P6, and it's finally working! This time though, I didn't revoke access to Twitter for Android!

Hey Guys
Now that exchange mail have been integrated into Gmail app. I wonder if there is some other good alternative email app with exchange support for those who does not want to use gmail App for both Google and exchange mail account.
Any good suggestions?

Thank you, CloudMagic looks great, I read a bit more about it and seems like they download your email messages in their servers for indexing. it may be a deal breaker depending on your privacy concerns or company policies.
And, since cloudmagic is free, I wonder which is their business model..

Nine is the best one available. It also handles calendar and tasks.
CloudMagic works well for the email, but it doesn't do calendar and tasks. There's also the problem with then storing your information on their server. I don't like that.
If you give Nine a chance, you will buy it.

As many have already mentioned, Nine is brilliant. I've been using it since it was initially released and have watched it evolve into an absolute killer application. Nothing compares IMO.
Support team is also great. If you've got any questions, suggestions, feedback etc, email it through and you will get a response fairly quickly - at least in my experience anyway.
It is continuously being improved and well worth the $10.
What about Boxer? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.boxer.email
Did anyone try the Exchange function?
I'm tempted to buy Nine.
Just reporting back, I ended up using Nine, it's great. It also works with Pebble, (it has an option). Thanks everyone!
