Are there any apps that can connect two bluetooth 4.0 phones and work like a "leash" like the dedicated devices out there?

So my smartphone is smart. And it has all the means for this. And I got root. But I've searched around and there was only one potential software that was supposed to provide this feature and I've tried it and it didn't work.
Did anyone manage to make his android into bluetooth keyboard or mouse for Linux and enjoy his Linux home theatre PC?

I have an eclipse/tomtom car stereo that uses a cellular connection via bluetooth for updates/traffic jam warnings/camera locations and realtime detours+handsfree and even text messaging on the touchscreen indash. All these features and more worked with my $59 boost mobile prepay phone and my blackberry. The only thing that works with my sgs4g is the handsfree. It tells me these bluetooth services are not supported. Is there any way to get support for these features/services? Also Is bluetooth stack the proper term for what I'm looking for?

As I remember my TomTom from several years ago, it needed the equivalent of Bluetooth data tethering. It it pretty rare on newer phones, at least the US ones I've seen. I suspect that carrier specs to the manufacturer have someone to do with it.
If you knew what Bluetooth profile you needed, you might be able to rework the Framework to support it, but I haven't seen a lot of requests.

Anyone know how to get my Bluetooth to autoconnect, without manually connecting it?

Do you mean without bluetooth being on in the first place? Have you tried Tec-tiles? They're supposed to be able to do this I believe. In the car I use Car Home Ultra and have it automatically start and connect bluetooth when the phone is plugged into my Infuse car dock.
Well, I found a temporary "fix" that gives you other bonus goodies. Flash the new toggle mod in development. I did, and now it auto connects my BT in my car.
Not sure how or why

I'm just now starting to play with tasker and a couple other profiling apps.I can get them to all turn on my Bluetooth and with no autoconnect. OR when I just turn on my Bluetooth manually. I'll immediately get a pop up showing there is an available bt device. But no autoconnect. It's already paired. I just have to connect it. I just use a bt speaker -not in any of my vehicles.I've tried two different auto connect app's no luck.

Please tell me MN2 users!
I believe it needs to be paired with smartphone at least initially bit many functions need syncing with phone.

Yes it does need to be paired... wait and get the SW2. That's what i'm doing.

You can pair them together and then turn bluetooth off on the phone. The time will still show but no other functions will work
