Hi,
I'm trying to upgrade Mali driver on my I9220.
Linux kernel : 3.0.31
Processor : exynos4210
Target Mali driver version: r3p1
I only replaced Mali driver in the kernel .
And I could get linux kernel image successfully. (Mali driver is built -in form.)
I turned on my board and saw all black screen.
I also checked memory address in config.h file.
I only saw booting screen then the screen was changed in black..
is there any other driver should I replace? such as gralloc driver...
I have a one more thing..
I want to use streamline for Mali profiling.
What version of linux kernel and Mali driver was verified for gpu profiling?
Or should I change something in my setting?
I am so ignorant about this.
Kindly let me know.
or tell me which phone can use to Mali profiling with streamline
Thank you

I have android device with mediatek Soc, I don't have kernel source code it so I have compiled kernel for other MTK6575 device and Managed to get run on my device,I have done following modification to run kernel from other device to my device
1) Fixed partition table issue
2)Fixed LCM driver
3)Fixed keypad driver
Now I need to enable touchpanel driver ,I have also compiled set of touchpanel driver from kernel source but none of worked for me.
So can you give me list of touchpanel drivers used in MTK6575 soc?
I don't have device specification so I need to do it by trial and run method, I have check touchpanel driver name in original running kernel but
didn't find any usefull information
Please help.

I've tried using adb and fastboot to push and flash files to my tablet, but adb returns an "error: no devices found" message, while fastboot gives me a "-waiting for any device-" message. Prior to the incident, when using the "./adb devices" command, it would return with "device: 033c1976d7f500000000".
I recently downloaded two files: from GitHub, a33_android_device_astar_master.zip; from chinagadgetsreviews, a33_599x_v90_800x480_gc038-gc0308_1211.img. I'm assuming that the latter file is the firmware for my device. Can either of these files be used to restore my system? If so, how, since it seems that I've bricked my tablet and it isn't recognized?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Happy new year, in the first place!
I thought after reading and reading on inet...Gone try here to get a little bit further with a simple but brand new tablet i got from my mother.
That's also the reason why i don't throw it away, i thought lets see if there is a possibility to make it run better then with the stockrom.
And if there is no solution to flash it, what is the best way to backup the rockchip 3168 with 4.2.2 rom off the tablet itself?
Also to try other roms, i don't wane lose my bootloader etc.
Its a simple tablet, i know..But that's also why, i know it can run much better, especially if the ram is not eaten up too much.
I will put the specs down here:

Its a new tablet, but the hardware is older and because of that i thought lets see if i can get it maybe a little bit upgraded on the software side.
And if not, maybe another solution.
Therefore i searched a lot, but has anyone....Anyone maybe a direction to look for a maybe better rom. Also with cwm there is nothing what works with this chip, everything based on the maligpu400 or maybe also with the powerVr Sgx 540?
Other solution would be to backup the rom, and clean afterwards the stock rom.But i got stuck in how and what is the best way to do that.
I cant install Cwm recovery, when it installs it doesn't continue.
I also read that people lost their original bootloader, and because i cant find the stockrom online...What would be the best way to do that, i saw the app mtk, and the Rockchip tool but that seemed a lot off work and if i mess up my backup would never work.
Or is it the only way to back up this rom from Rockchip, a full backup kerel, loader etc..
And to try out a rom, install from sd card, and to get back on the stockrom a factory reset is all, or mess i up the recovery installing another rom?
If more info is needed about the chips, let me know.
Thanks ahead!:good:
Roberto.
i need this firmware .img , i have tablet genesis gt7320 with rk3168 tv , you can send firmware of you tablet ?
Hello. I just wanted to play Trivia Royale on my phone but it says " device isn't compatible with this version " on play store. I have installed apk manuelly and could open game . But it has so many lags . I have tried game on Samsung Note 4 it works really good. I think it is about my phone's 32 bit processor . Because Note 4 has 64 bit one. Is there a way to play that game on my galaxy a10 without laggy ? ( i guess my phone could run 64 bit supported games. I'm very dissapointed )
To find out whether phone's CPU architecture is 64-bit or not download, install and run
Droid Hardware Info
From there you can collect information about your phone's CPU. The common nomenclature for ARM, ARM64, and x86 processors are as follows:
ARM: ARMv7 or armeabi
ARM64: AArch64 or arm64
x86: x86 or x86abi

It says ARMv7-A . What does this mean ?

Aida64 shows 64bit ArmV8-A (32bit Mode).
Both reports show your phone runs 32-bit Android kernel and userspace. Hence you can't flawlessly run apps compiled to be used in 64-bit Android kernel and userspce.
i picked up on a s5 neo because of the 64bit cpu over the snapdragon 801, cost only 60$ and is supported by lineage-os to my surprise the latest official version of it runs on 32bit even though the cpu can run 64bit, i did look at phone info [samsung] on the stock rom and it ran in 32 bit as well, the most i know about it is that it was android 6.0.1, so my questions is will lineage-os put this phone on 64bit since it can run it and did it ever have 64bit support at all from android, because i didn't try android 7 at all, i did try the Cosmic-Kernel that appears to run in 64bit but truth be told i haven't got a clue what im doing as to install it so i didn't try to hard to install it, heres a link to the github for it

You have to distinguish between a device's Linux kernel and device's Android OS. Both are different to each device.
A kernel for Android OS basically is a mainstream Linux kernel, with additional drivers for the specific device, and other additional functionality, such as enhanced power management or faster graphics support.
If I'm not mistaken the kernel determines if the OS is 32bit, not necessarily the OS am I right or can the OS and kernel be 32bit
Actually any 64-bit ARM SoC can run 32-bit software ( Linux kernel -> modules, Android OS -> libraries & executables ) due to its 32-bit compatibilty mode.
This will change: ARM has announced that from 2023, all of its new smartphone CPU cores will be 64-bit only, with no 32-bit compatibility mode.
BTW:
Have never heard that Linux kernel determines whether Android OS has to run in 32-bit mode or 64-bit mode.

I know of running 32bit software on a 64 bit processor works on the same way with typical desktops and laptops, I'm trying to figure out how to make it run in 64bit mode, and determine the easiest way to do it
