stock battery conditioning - Epic 4G Accessories

Hello,
I just bought two 1800 mAh stock batteries. I would like to know the best way to condition the batteries. My charge/data port is broken and I charge the batteries via an external charger. I am also running Calkulins ROM. Thank you in advance.

Just fully charge them and put them to use. LiPo batteries in phones require no conditioning.

What vader stated. Just use the phone like you normally would.

I am using them normally.
The battery drops a HUGE amount on a reboot.

Extended battery is the way to go if you can get past the hump, well worth it.

I didn't think I would like it at all either. However I have grown to love it, the way it is places on this phone actually helps holding it better. Of course that is just my opinion.

Mine is about 4210mV in Battery Monitor Widget. From what I red, it should be around around 4200mV or slightly more.
At 4015mV, I think you lost quite some juice...
Mine is going up to 4202mv.

I'm running tweakstock and get it when I use a 1500 mah battery (OEM is 1600). It warns me when I boot up and does not let me charge it when I plug it in. I have to use an external charger.

I believe I found the fix for this. Watch for an updated kernel that you can flash. I have no way to test if it works for non-OEM batteries. Also, if it does work, I would closely monitor your phone/battery while it is charging, especially if the battery is a smaller capacity battery compared to stock, as it could over-charge.

Gizmoe v2

Hey, I'm still curious, and no one really commented in my previous post: does rapid charge via USB harm the battery? Does it cancel out HTC 's over charge protection or is that hardware not software?

It's safe. It just charges quicker like if you where to buy a rapid charger for your phone. It still has the overcharge protection. Honestly it probably only works with adapters that support it and certain USB ports on pc's. I haven't actually tested it out though to see if it charges faster with the normal HTC USB plug. It's a feature that clockan put in his kernel so I am just taking his word for it.
Well I can assure you it charges a LOT faster than usual. Using the same charger, but switching ROMS between your stock and v2, it's way way faster. Thanks!

It never dawned on me to Google clockan instead of rapid charge via USB...duh. I found a post where he elaborated on it a little, in response to a guy's question (which was what I was trying to ask but didn't articulate nearly as well). Basically, it applies to car chargers and the ilk, I think, not wall chargers. Still, I've noticed that while it charges twice as fast, it seems to burn faster too. I don't know if it's the 2wcr or just not as thorough a charge our plain old placebo effect. Thanks, though. You've given me a dozen new articles to read just on USB charging standards!

Replacement RELIABLE battery?

Does anybody know where I could find a proper reliable battery for the g2x?
I don't care if it is regular capacity or extended, as long as it fits using the original battery casing. Maybe prodicell?
There are a bunch on amazon like this one:
http://www.amazon.com/OEM-1500mAh-S...0154892&sr=1-3&keywords=lg+optimus+2x+battery
Any ideas? All the debates on this forum are mostly for the andid "Extended" (not really) battery.
According to reviews by purchasers, it looks like it's good to go.
I just ordered one of these extended batteries. Should i clear battery stats in cwm or not?

Battery Stats only shows you what apps/services have been using your battery... it has nothing to do with it storing any type of information about the min/max capacity or charge your battery has...
Anyone know where I can get an Anker slim battery for the G2x? I can't take too much more of 5 hours on mostly standby :banghead:
