Basically you don't need kies to use Odin only the drivers. Since kies van Brick your phone while flashing.

As the title says, I cant connect my Galaxy R to the computer and my touch screen gets bad response time when I unplug it from the recharger.
The response time is normal when I got the recharger plugged in.
Thanks in advance and sorry for bad english! :cyclops:
This issue also happened with other users. Reflashing stock rom solved this for them. Try flashing latest stock rom. I would suggest xwla4 or zsle6 these are most stable and latest builds.

Yea, but I need odin to flash stock rom, right?
And I didn't do a backup of my official rom when I rooted it for the first time >.<
Yes u will need odin to flash and don't worry its safe.
If u don't have stock files u can download it from sammobile or checkfus.

Yes, but there's the problem, when I enter download mode, it cant recognize my USB cable so can't flash that way :/
If you're using windows xp service pack 2 try upgrading to sp 3. Solved the issue for me

Hello guys, I was trying to root my galaxy GT-I9003 to install an ICS rom and I had 2.3.6,,, I entered download mode and tried to use odin but it said failed. so i pushed the power button to swtich the phone off and it gave me a screen with cellphone and computer and yellow rectangle and it doesn't start or go to recovery mode the only thing i can do is to take the battery our for a minute then put it again and the only thing it does is to go to download mode and i tried to use odin again or samsun kies but nothing is working. how can i get this phone to work again please with the old OS or to start flashing a rom again?
Thanks,
Try rebooting the system and connecting and flashing again using odin.
If it still doesn't work reinstall samsung kies software and try connecting and flashing using odin.
If it still doesn't work, report here and someone will try to guide further. All the best.

I think the xxkpe zip file comes with Odin 1.83. Try it out as well.

Ok. Try installing xxkpe with pit on odin 1.83 then install your stock rom with odin 1.83 then it must work i think.

Did you install KIES? I think you have to. ODIN need some files from KIES. correct me if I'm wrong
and flash using this guides --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133787
since i cant access to my odin someone had a flash-able clockworkmod works with stock recovery?? so i can install a custom rom thanks !!
for p3100
You can't flash anything with the samsung recovery. Only updates. Odin is the only way.
do one simple thing! install kies from samsung website. then attach your device with your pc. it will install adb for your device! now your device will be recognised by odin!!! flash as many things u want then! be sure to close kies before flashing with odin

If you are rooted, you can download ROM manager, it will install cwm without the need of a PC, but again that's if you are already rooted.

You can install SamyKat Rom
Enter the download mode using the key combination, not through recovery. It will work.

Try another USB port, and make sure that nothing with kies is running on your computer, open odin as admin.
if u are able to boot in cwm.
then try to flash cynogemmod 10 rom.
it migh be helpful to boot to system.
then u can use odin..
try it..
it should work fine.

i faced the same problem
there are 2 way to solve this problem
1. changes your samsung usb drivers there are many kind of it which has different size, i use the 23MB of Samsung Usb Drivers and install it then flash the rom you want to install through odin
if the first method doesn't work try second method
2. download the rom you want to install, better to download the stock rom and then sent it to your micro sd card then flash it through cwm it'll work
if i help you don't forget to hit thanks
cheers

why don't you try TWRP, its here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...recovery-twrp-3-0-2-0-samsung-galaxy-t3468405 and the best thing its flashable without Odin. If you dont have custom recovery but your device is rooted then try https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.mkrtchyan.recoverytools&hl=en (Rashr App) to flash it.
If your device is not rooted and no custome recovery but you still wanna get it, then follow the rest of this post:
1st Get the KingRoot Apk from the XDA.
2nd Download and Install it.
3rd Root your device from the app and flash the recovery using the Rashr app.
4th Optional: Highly Suggested though, get the latest build of SuperSu and keep in SD/ Internal. Now uninstall Kingroot from the app, it removes the root too, but who cares, you have the recovery now. Now boot into recovery and flash the SuperSu zip.
Why did i Suggest SuperSu, well Kingroot contains some bloatware stuff and takes more space then SuperSu and is bit slow.
P.S sorry for my bad English.
my device is Galaxy S5 G900A AT&T , first i tried to root my device and after many times it failed but i got problem that it is now stuck on recovery mode (and USB Debugging seems deactivated ) and i tried to recover the lollipop for my devise using ODIN not succed , also KIES not recognizing my device so i couldn't preform emergency firmware recovery , please advise me if somebody faced the same problem !
