Which network is best for me N5 with LTE - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have Verizon and plan on jumping ship for the N5. What is the best plan with no credit check that offers LTE. I don't care about the monthly price.

I'm not sure about the credit check part but with respect to value and performance it depends on what area you live in. In my area Verizon is way faster than anyone else and has much better coverage but I go with T-Mobile because it is fast "enough" and the cost is more reasonable. AT&T, although great in some cities, has poor data rates in my area so it's not even a consideration. Your results may vary.

It's a tool, and will give you a good idea, especially if you commute, etc.

Glad it probably won't be AT$T, but T-Mobile will be sold to someone else. Hopefully not someone worse.

Unless NBC-Comcast decides to dip into cell networks I can't think of anyone worse than AT&T.

I thought I heard that Tmo would get a crap-ton of money if the deal fell through. Perhaps that can secure it's autonomy for a while. Perhaps that was the goal all along...

Yup, $3 billion in cash.
AT&T also has to set roaming agreements with Tmo if it falls through. While not 3/4g, it will give better 2g rural coverage.

I was reading something about this sometime last week and the article mentioned that att may have found some kind of technicality where if the deal doesn't get approve, they may not have to pay out as much if not at all!
Geah!

Hardware manufacturers cannot sell wireless service. Google owns Motorola. Google cannot buy T-Mobile.

[Q] Does Sprint really have UNLIMITIED data?

I currently have pretty damn fast internet but I'm about to be moving to an area where I can only get Satellite or Mobile Broadband internet. I was wondering if I switched to Sprint and tethered if it would be worth it? I;m constantly online downloading stuff and need to figure out a way. Satellite and Mobile Broadband are usually limited. So i thought of Tethering with Sprint. I need to figure something out so any info or ideas would be extremely helpful Thanks for all the responses.
Any ideas?

From what I hear, Sprint's network is not that great for that purpose.
I could be totally wrong, definitely might want to hear from someone who has Sprint and uses that service.

I am a sprint customer. You can view the coverage map here http://coverage.sprint.com/IMPACT.jsp
Sprint is not that big company and has limited services depending upon the area.
Sprint do have their own teethering plan for the phone.
I'm a virgin mobile customer, virgin mobile uses sprints network. We were unlimited then we got throttled last week...2.5 gb of data

Sprint?

With Verizon being a company about money more than pleasing customers...would sprint be a better option?

Sprint has the worst data network out of the "big 4" carriers. It's like you can pay as you go at a fancy restaurant compared to an all-you-can-eat turd buffet. Also Verizon can do whatever they want because they undoubtedly have the best mobile network in the country. Customers choose to pay their high prices already, and while this may be past the tipping point for some, I expect most will stay. It won't be until VZW has true competition in terms of service that this garbage ends.
Them being the best is the problem

After 2 gigs it they do throttle unfortunately... but I've never heard of the account shut downs. If you use Wi-Fi ad much as I do send make sure you check the 848484 info via text messages you should be fine. This is coming from a heavy data user. Minor adjustments made and its well worth it

BREAKING NEWS- Tmobile is merging with Metro-PCS

What do you guys think? Also, i want to see if this is a way to get out of the contract without a penalty
Isn't MetroPCS CDMA? That shouldn't even affect us, right?
Sent from my MyTouch 4G using xda app-developers app
I read that T-Mobile will use the 1900 spectrum from metro for hspa+ data only. That's good for their refarming process. I think metro will switch over to gsm later maybe...

Lucrative
The deal itself seems to be overwhelmingly lucrative. Seeing in recent years there has been a push to get cell phone service without a contract it would make sense that T-Mobile or any of the other big carriers to pick up pay as you go companies. I'm curious to see what changes happen for Metro PCS.
